I
was
referred
to
Lucas
by
a
consultant
that
diagnosed
me
with
proximal
hamstring
tendonopathy
following
an
MRI.
I'm
a
casual
runner
that
caused
the
injury
during
the
course
of
a
year
running
4
ultra
marathons.
I
was
having
pain
when
sitting
and
driving.
Lucas
was
very
thorough
from
the
start.
Assessing
my
strength
(or
significant
lack
of!)
and
prescribing
me
a
detailed
strength
training
programme.
Sessions
were
more
regular
at
the
start,
approximately
every
2
weeks.
Each
time
assessing
the
development
in
my
strength,
asking
questions
about
my
experience
and
any
pain,
introducing
new
exercises
and
tweaking
my
programme.
Learning
new
strength
training
exercises
was
very
rewarding
and
will
be
beneficial
for
the
rest
of
my
life.
After
aggrevating
my
injury
Lucas
was
careful
to
advise
taking
time
before
progressing.
After
a
few
months,
and
as
planned,
we
introduced
a
running
programme
starting
very
carefully.
Again,
Lucas
prescribed
a
clear
calendar
of
runs
that
I
could
easily
stick
to.
Lucas
also
changed
my
strength
training
programme
to
accommodate
these
runs.
We're
now
seeing
each
other
every
2
months.
I'm
close
to
running
10k,
my
strength
has
significantly
improved
(adding
almost
6kg
of
muscle)
and
we're
now
progressing
to
adding
ascent
into
my
programme.
I've
had
little
to
no
pain
when
sitting
since
early
in
the
programme.
If
you're
willing
to
be
patient
and
open
to
introducing
strength
training
into
your
rehab
programme,
Lucas
would
be
an
excellent
choice
if
you've
been
affected
by
a
running
injury.
