if you are thinking about putting your child into that school, avoid it. trust me it will be the best decision for your child's future. the staff are rude (with a few exceptions of course). i've been in that school for almost 4 years and i have had no help from the staff, even after asking them multiple times. don't get me started on how disgusting it is. the food is disgusting. one time, i got some meat that looked raw. their food is so bad i once puked and had to go home. there has been multiple incidences when students have spotted rats in classrooms, changing rooms, in the bathrooms and even in the cafeteria. they always preach about how they're going to try to improve the school as best they can, but of course they never do and never will. my friend said that male P.E. teachers would enter the girls' changing rooms. there was even one teacher that got fired for shouting and swearing a student. in conclusion, don't go anywhere near this school. they're really strict with the dress code. we're not allowed to go outside the classroom without our blazer on. most teachers don't let you go to the bathroom, even if you're on your period. we're only allowed certain shoes (no docs, no boots, no trainers) or you get sent to E.R., where you have to sit in a room for the whole day, or even multiple days, doing nothing. you're not allowed to get piercings, no coloured hair. for a school that preaches on how it's ok to be unique and different, the message is not getting across well. people have fainted for being too hot. no wonder all the teachers keep leaving... rip tracey.

COLAI is a terrible place and school,there is an entire book published on the corruption of the school. The school only cares about numbers.if you are naturally smart sign up but if you're looking to learn and better yourself stop and find somewhere else. This school is full of pointless curriculum and no trips and out of date books, all the money given to the academy must go straight to the head teachers pockets because the books are old the computers are old and I had no science teacher or maths teacher for 3 years which made me fail both subjects. very sexist rules, and a lot of teachers hate their job and a lot leave monthly. But to shed some light I want to thank MR HAMDI who motivated me he is a very good teacher and deserves much more than the academy. The rest are corrupt

this school Is very racist and they make sure they don't pay attention to black people a black kid was vomminting they sent him back to class but a white kid was faking sick and they sent him home very racist I would not like to say anymore as the school will close down

The only thing Ex headteacher (Mrs Verga) and management was interested in was to reach their targets, racist staff and not caring for the children, it's all a facade.. my daughter had a handful of good teachers, otherwise it was a terrible experience for her.. she is now doing well, no thanks to COLAI but due her sheer determination and hard work.. she now works with people who do care about her ..

I went here and they ruined my education as they were lazy and didn't have time for someone who didn't enjoy the school environment but was thriving academically I left with 0 GCSES and was left in alternative provisions instead of being given a chance to better myself. The only person in this whole school who cared was Mr Oliver Hamdy who now teaches at Highbury grove he is an amazing man and he made me the person I am today by believing in me when no one did. I have the utmost respect for him and I hope he lives an amazing life.

i don't care how petty this is but the schools discipline is so bad that its funny i got soaked in water cause some kid thought it would be smart to throw a water balloon (which you aren't allowed) at the kid next to me in lesson and i got no help at all just asked if i wanted to freshen up in the bathroom and was told a teacher was coming to talk to me but never did and wasn't even asked to write a statement ??? same kid also got into a fight not long after and wasn't pulled away but started walking the halls with nobody stopping him ?? and wasn't taken to isolation and there were at least 4 different teachers on the floor that he was previously on that could have stopped him but it's cool they just stood around !!

The food is very greasy otherwise its very decent, the supply teachers are probably more trained than actual members of staff. Otherwise I recommend putting your children through this place we call school, very good 5 stars supply teachers made it better

I have been at COLA - I for a few months, and so far, i have enjoyed the school, i haven't seen unfair treating yet, and the Heads Of House are very kind, and are open to talk to if you have a problem, i haven't seen mouses/rats, that people say they have seen. So far i like this school, teachers have enthusiasm for the lessons they like to teach, i do enjoy this school, but i do have a while to go, it may change, for now, its a good school. (In my opinion), of course i don't see behind the scenes, but still.

A lot of kids are not disciplined! So this kid was with a group and decided to throw a brick on my car!!! Paint work damaged on bonnet and wheel cover and a dent next to bonnet. It’s a Mercedes and costing me £990 to sort this !!! We Managed to stopped the kids and admitted his wrongful behaviour then I went to report this in school. Assistant headmaster took my details and he recognised the kids. Next day I got a call from him and gave him the quotation of repair work however no reply since then. I spoke to the reception lady named TINA she sounded very rude over the phone! I asked her if I could speak to the headmaster but she said no! She didn’t even say I will pass the number so they can call back once they are free. No help at all!!!
