Came here for my birthday. Shanay was amazing, took care of all my friends. Really quick and great recommendations. Definitely coming back.

Pretty busy on a Friday evening and good vibe. Drinks were too sweet, the most I could drink was one of their cocktails because it was just way too sweet. Otherwise quite a good selection on the menu. We didn’t get any but there are quite a few cocktails that they serve in teapots that looked interesting. Crowd was mixed but generally respectful. Not super crowded but enough people to make it feel full. Great music!

The bar was pretty fun but I ordered a drink and when the bartender didn’t have a clean glass she took a dirty one that someone had left on the bar and briefly rinsed it before making my drink in it. I’m not easily grossed out but that’s a bit much, especially in the era of covid.

Forget any other bar on this street, Simmons Angel happy hour is the place to be. The bar staff, and in particular Ibs, absolutely stole the show. Also, the tables were so clean, 5 star hygiene unofficial rating.

Absolutely disgusted by the treatment I received on friday 17th of March at Simmons, I was thrown off my table that was reserved for someone who had decided to turn up half an hour earlier than the time stated. The man said to me “you need to move, the people who want this table now have arrived Early” I said “but it’s not fair as the time clearly stated 7pm and I wanted that seat until right up until the time. I said fine I want a refund on my drink I hadn’t begun to drink, he said no and laughed and walked off - the picture of the man standing up is the one who humiliated me I left the place completed deflated with my birthday ruined, the service was disgusting and the glasses were filthy and I won’t be returning and I advise everyone else to go to be at one which is further down the road with a nicer atmosphere and better less “aggressive” service.

Robyn was the best bartender I’ve had in London. I just moved from Canada and have had a hard time adjusting, but I know if I come to Simmons and see Robyn my day will be better. Amazing service and friendly vibes

The staff were absolutely amazing they were so attentive and friendly. The drinks were legendary and at such a fantastic price. I brought my friends and they will be bringing even more people to this gem of a place with such an amazing happy hour. Thank you so much to tia and the bar staff for making our evening drinks such and cool memory. ❤️

Intimate local pub to patron. Great vibes and a good crowd. Amazing DJ on weekends. Way better vibe & energy than those gloomy London pub that make you feel like you are drinking in the church.

The security has a weird misogynist thing going where they won’t let you in if you’re a woman by yourself. It’s especially credulous given that even if your friends are inside, they will force you to stay outside and have to prove it by a text which is hard to get when they are drunk on the dance floor. They did this to me and I thought they were just being annoying but I learned they did this to my friend a day ago , so apparently it’s a pattern.

The Bar Staff at Simmons are amazing. Ibs and Alexis are the best bartenders/supervisors everrrrr. No cap when you talk bout hospitality they are simply the best.

Lush place - really central + great drinks, relaxed, good vibe.

I like the feel and look of Simmons! Best part was the great bartenders Gabbi and Ebz. They were so welcoming and recommended cocktails suited my night out with my friend. I will be back !

I resent having to write yet another bad review of your bars. There were a group of 5 of us visiting on Saturday. It's disappointing that your staff would actively ignore us, and serve their own friends. We couldn't have been more obviously waiting if not for a large neon sign above our heads. It's just rude. Despite this I would like to thank, and appreciate, the bartender who did serve us. They seemed to be the only one working, poor guy. Rushed off their feet...

Nice place, cool interior with alot of drinks that are on the cheap side. They have a retro game console which is very cool. The management is very nice and attentive, however some of the people at that Simmons place who go there are a bit wild

Horrible experience! I went to simmons bar with a friend of mine and we were very excited to have a lovely night, this night soon turned into a nightmare! When we arrived at the bar we were told by a security guard that they were not letting any other people in however, the other security guard was openly inviting the individuals around us into the bar at the same time of us asking. I questioned the security guard who refused us entry and asked why we were not allowed to go inside when the other people around us were allowed in without a problem. He then proceeded to tell us to f off and gave me a slight push, as a women i felt so uncomfortable and shook up. This is no way to treat a customer and above all a human being. I do not recommend this bar, even one star is too much!

One of the best, if not THE best venue in London!!!! Music is lively and the staff is incredible charismatic, especially Yan!!! Made our experience here so much fun and always made sure we were properly looked after!!! Highly recommend for a good time out <333

A great night out! My friends and I came to Simmons all the time for the cheap happy hour and great vibe. It’s super chill and the music is always great. We have come here for birthday parties, hen parties, and random Tuesdays and always have a great time!

Don’t usually leave reviews but felt I had too. Service was on point to say the least.Gaby made us some amazing cocktails and definitely made us feel welcome. Will be back soon 😊

All I can tell you is wa5ch your drinks after a few they tend to charge you a double when u clearly ask for a singlecwhen you query ir thay call for surcurty and told told leave eceb when you show then a card receipt I've been to a few bars ans to be fair along essex rd I would recommend the greenman pub much cheaper and the vipe is so much better higher recommend

I took my cousins from the U.S here and what a fun night it was. As we walked in the music was on point, bar staff really friendly , would come back! Nice mixed crowd too, abit of the young , older and inbetween Couldn’t stop dancing all night, we stayed until close!

Good vibes and fun staff! A good lil place to start or end the night highly recommended and the cocktails are amazing. Also Amie the bar tender was very friendly and knows the best drinks to recommend # Love the gummy bear cocktail !

Lovely evening at Simmons Angel! Attentive, fun and welcoming manager! Came out for a pal's birthday and glad we came to such a friendly atmosphere. It was a bit quiet tonight so will definitely come back on a weekend where I can shake a leg with my girls :)

Great ambience and great music. In my opinion a bit too loud so you can barely talk. That was a bit of a letdown for me. Drinks are nice and reasonable prices with happy hour running till 9 pm (2×1 cocktails for 10£)

We were served by Robyn at the Angel branch. She was extremely friendly and accommodating. The drinks were delicious. Will definitely come back as we had a great time.

This bouncer was inexplicably rude, aggressive and unsafe. Having evicted one of my friends from the bar with no real reason given, our group of 15 all left the bar. I asked one of the other bouncers if I could go back inside as I needed to pee and he very reasonably allowed me in. Unfortunately the big guy found me inside and refused, his sound reasoning being "I don't like you". He then threatened me with assault. Saying "I will remove my badge and mess you up" and that he "wanted to teach me a lesson" at which point the other bouncers looked quite uncomfortable and I walked away to diffuse the situation. He is also noted to have taken photographs of our group WITHOUT our permission, and did not deny it on being questioned. I then specifically asked him for his permission to take this photograph to which he agreed and as you can see he was also stupid enough to pose for it. I will be looking into legal action against this individual, he is clearly unsafe to be working as a bouncer, apart from his natural aggression, the fact that he takes photos of clients is a significant safety concern. Hopefully the owner/manager would be wise enough to relieve him or report him before this progresses. The bar was otherwise ok. Music was good.

I must admit I have never had such a kind hearted serve me a drink in my life. I genuinely love Robyn, she’s sooo kind and funny. We LOVE Robyn!

I am a regular customer at the Simmon Bar (Angel) and I want to share my express to the company and potential customers. Whenever I come to it I get the best service, best vibes and most importantly best customer service provided by all staff especially, Lilian& Marwa. Overall, the professionalism level here is outstanding.

Incredible experience, lived in London my whole life and it was my first time going to this bar, best night of my life. Drinks were top, music was top, staff were top. Everyone behind the bar was amazing. Especially Dan, more than just a bartender, he was the life of the bar. Always smiling, always laughing and always pouring! Can’t wait until my next night out because I’m coming back here for sure!

Great place for pre drinks. Plays good music. Definitely recommend booking so u get a table quiet a small bar not much standing or sitting room. Drinks were good we had the kettle and the tea pot.
