I cannot say anything about the property but my attempt to cancel a reservation was a shocking experience at best. Imagine 23 years of saving to finally be able to go to an Arsenal match and booking what looks like a fantastic hotel nearby to make the trip feel posh and fantastic. And then the Queen dies, the Premier League cancels fixtures the day before and everything’s a wash, all the working extra hours, saving and planning…back to the drawing board. This was my shot and I missed. Surely the queen’s passing is an historic coincidence that could not have been planned for. I don’t think using this episode for a money grab is advisable business but here Citadine’s Islington is offering me a credit I can almost certainly never use and refusing to give me a refund. Offering someone something they can’t use is the same as offering them nothing. I’m sure the hotel is great, I probably would have recommended it if all would have gone to plan, but squeezing the working poor when bad luck hits them is low for any business.

I recently purchased a non-refundable room at Citadines Islington for a five night stay. I had to leave early because of a medical issue of a family member. The management very generously refunded me for the two days I could not stay despite having purchased a non-refundable room. I have stayed here numerous times previously and will stay here again in the future. The hotel is clean, quiet, in a great area of Islington close to many shops and restaurants. The staff are fantastic. I cannot recommend Citadines Islington enough.

Amazing hotel/accommodation. Hotel staff are genuinely polite and caring. They have been so helpful with all requests. I would recommend this place for anyone staying in this area. Would of given 10 stars if possible.

Recently stayed at the Citadines and was quite satisfied so I booked my daughter into a stay merely 4 weeks later. Using their own website I was unable to book thru the 5 days in the same level of room and had to upgrade twice to the more expensive rooms as they were not showing availability. On arrival my daughter asked if she could remain in her one room the entire stay. The desk clerks confirmed that yes they had availability in the lower cost rooms for the entire stay which they offered her but would not offer the difference in price to the more expensive rooms they we were charged as we had 'Booked online'. They did offer to move her to a different Hotel which I simply cannot understand. In short, Customer service lacking in common sense and goodwill and you have lost a Customer who will not return. Two stays in less than a month and you are unwilling to refund the difference in room rate.

Great location. We were exhibiting at the Business Design Centre which was just a few meetings walk away. Room was very clean and spacious. We live in the country so always find London noisy, but it was almost as quiet as at home. Bed was really comfortable. Lots of places to eat very close by. We found a great Italian restaurant just round the corner. Highly recommended.

It’s was my first wedding anniversary and I wanted to surprise my wife by having a bouquet of flowers, similar to her wedding bouquet, waiting for her in our room upon arrival. Their team, when asked, didn’t hesitate to help and they topped it off with a lovely note, box of chocolates, and bottle of Prosecco. Talk about going above and beyond and delivering an exceptional guest experience. Thank you!

The alarm clock in our room has been ringing at 6am EVERY MORNING. Clicking the big button only snoozes it for like 5 minutes, it only completely goes off after snoozing it twice before ringing again the next morning. We unplugged it but it kept going. We tried to change the alarm but the screen is pitch black. We contacted the front desk multiple times, and they first said it was centrally controlled and turned it off, then someone came up and told us the alarm clock shouldn't be ringing since the screen is black, and promised to take it away from the room but never did so (we can't take it off ourselves since the alarm clock is anchored to the table with a steel wire and a screw). This is day 5 of 7, we first let the team know of the problem at day 3, the alarm went off again at 6am, they still haven't fixed it. I mean I'll talk to the front desk again but this is the worst display of service I've ever seen in the industry.

One of my rare 5-star reviews :-P. Check-in: Uncomplicated, and pleasant, with Peter explaining facilities available. Room: Wow. Large, spacious (by London standards), clean, and clean modern decor. Small functional kitchenette with microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Nespresso machine, tea, cookies, UHT milk. Bathroom equally spacious, with adjustable height shower (no rainfall shower, if that matters to you). Small settee at the end of the bedto stretch out and relax. Comfortable bed, with reading lights. Small table with chairs, for a quick bite to eat. Room relatively quiet, very little noise intrusion from outside, occasional noise from corridor, but all in all, pretty quiet. Facilities: Breakfast (7-11 weekdays) served at lobby lounge. Continental and simple; best to inspect prior to purchase to decide value for money. Lounge was clean and open to guests, with 24/7 coffee/tea available. Staff: Friendly throughout. Room wasn't serviced for 2 night stay, but that was OK with me. Location: A little bit of a walk from Underground or Overground station (15 mins brisk walk), but buses available. Lots to eat in the vicinity, looks like quite a thriving and mid-scale neighborhood. 10 mins brisk walk to the British Design Centre. (Minor) Grouses: No shower gel provided (but shampoo, tiny bar of soap and body lotion). More eco approach would be to provide dispensers for the above, rather than single use plastics. Detergent and sponge provided for kitchenette, but no dishcloth or disposable wipe (paper towels provided, though!) Summary: Modern, spacious, comfortable. Would stay again, in a shot!

Our family of three recently stayed here for just under a week. The location of the property is great. Super convenient just behind Upper Street, lots of eateries and transport connections available, but without the direct noise. Easy to get Uber/Bolts near Almeida and Moon Street. The apart-hotel itself is new and has been maintained well so far. The young woman who checked us in was very welcoming. The gentlemen who was manning the desk for the few days after was also very helpful. And finally, Peter was very gracious in helping us with our extra bags and bits and bobs that we needed. We had a one-bedroom apartment but was upgraded to the deluxe apartment. We were thankful for the room near a stairwell so that our toddler would not disturb other people. The space was perfect for a family of three. Plenty of storage, room for a toddler to play, and we even cooked a few meals as a family on nights we did not feel like going out. The kitchen is stocked, but for extras, a Sainsbury is across the street. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Amazing hotel in the heart of Islington Upper Street - brand new fully refurbished historical building adds a nice charm! We stayed for 2.5 months due to being between flats. We found management and staff very nice and friendly, yet professional and competent and have been extremely nice to our dog which is always a heart-warming sign. The rooms are spacious, squeaky clean, with equipment as if brand new and especially loved the high ceilings. Lastly, the lobby area is equipped with a very good automatic late making machine and a sparkling water tap which we loved. Highly recommend !!

Unbelievably disappointed. My partners Balenciaga sneakers were stolen from his room. Hours after checkout they miraculously reappeared FOUND by one of the cleaners. Huge dishonesty and WONT be staying here again.

Great location but very quiet at night. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, and great facilities. The rooms are big enough and with a full kitchen, so everything you need is to hand. Will definitely been staying again.

Islington is a great place to observe Victorian architecture and experience multiculturalism. This hotel is located in the core area of Islington, with convenient transportation and many restaurants. I recommend it.

I’ve been here less than a week into a month-long stay and I’m completely humbled by an amazing team who have gone above and beyond to make this a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The studio deluxe is very spacious with large windows overlooking a pedestrianised mall; some street noise but it’s not invasive. Very handy kitchenette, comfy bed, and lots of hanging space for clothes. Shower-only bathroom also with loads of space. Food & drink options on your doorstep from Prezzo to great independents. Very glad I chose to stay here during a transition back to London. Thanks Citadines Islington! 💐

Stayed here for a gig at Islington Assembly Hall. Really peaceful location just off the high street. Staff lovely. Studio room really spacious, beautifully clean and all the amenities you could need. View onto garden😍. Great base for Islington, Kings Cross, St Pancreas. Some great independent bars and restaurants close by. Highly recommended.

Stayed with our 5month old for 4 nights. Hotel couldn't have been more ideal - great location, spotlessly clean, accommodating staff and very spacious. In a post covid environment it felt like a conscious effort was made to make guests feel safe. We will absolutely stay again.

Great hotel in the heart of Angle. Rooms are not big, but space is well used and bed is extremely comfortable. The staff is really helpful as well. The hotel is inside a gated gallery, is safe and quiet even though you are close to the buzz of Islington.

It was great aparthotel but I found big spider in the first time I unlocked the door. Moreover, there is nobody can help with the baggages. Help yourself!

Modern hotel with plenty of restaurants, shops, and public transport options nearby. As I was booked for an extended stay, I would have liked more shelves/drawers for my clothes to store so I wasn't living out of my suitcase the whole time. Overall, a great experience though

Very clean, very safe. Free coffee in lobby and a nice coffee machine in our suite. Perfect for travelling with a small child -- bathroom is off the entrance hallway, so no need to disturb her to use the loo. It was expensive but worth the money. The bed in the main bedroom was also a good size so I got a good night's sleep despite my wriggling partner, unlike most hotels. Only downside was no breakfast, but I think this is temporary due to covid

I have stayed in a fair few Ascot properties around Asia and never been disappointed. This was my first in the UK and it was great. Big room, great gym, and nice coworking space. Thoroughly recommend. And was way cheaper than similar airbnbs

There aren’t enough characters, not enough words to describe my infinite gratitude and admiration for the staff at Citadines Islington London. Throughout my nearly 50-day stay as part of an international relocation, I can’t imagine going through it without their guidance, support, courtesy and understanding. I will remember this experience in the fondest way possible to the end of my days.
