Very rude reception staff including the manager Sandra, Who had the nerve to question why I brought my child to hospital and then want to be seen again and her words was “ if it’s nothing life threatening call tomorrow morning to arrange an appointment “ Firstly why reception staff would question me what am I doing with my child and telling me what to do and deciding on behalf of me whether I need to be seen asap or not , you don’t know my child’s medical history therefore I find it very inappropriate to say something like that to me or to anyone else! I called them in the afternoon to try to arrange an appointment and was put in que 14 an hour later i was still 14 , then 111 ring them on behalf of me and same happened to them they weren’t able to reach them . As they claim to be so busy and fully booked all the time , unable to answer the phone I decided to walk there myself only to find that there was not a single human waiting nor the phone was ringing only to find receptionists comfortably sitting and claiming how busy and full they are . *Photo for the reference how busy and fully booked they were ( this review is only for the reception staff not for the entire clinic as the doctors are helpful and professional )!

This is a terrible surgery. The doctors dismiss you easily, don't take you seriously. My daughter had a leg infection and the doctors did nothing, just sent me home with some cream and only when I eventually went private that this was resolved. I've had this with them time and time again. If you have an alternative, then I suggest you go there.

Very unprepared doctors and rude receptionists. With the pandemic got even worse. I had to get external advice for all emergency or non emergency situations because they never give the correct diagnosis unless we tell them what other people have said. Very frustrating specially with a younger daughter. And if we complain, they just don’t care and the service get worse and worse.

This is quite literally the worst surgery. The reception staff are extremely rude. They only book routine appointments from 10.30. I was the first caller on the line and I waited over 30min it’s to have my call answered and that was only after I called from another phone. They make it as difficult as possible to book an appointment to see a doctor for health issues. Insanity!!!

Received a text asking me to call the surgery straight away to make an appointment to see a doctor, as I had an abnormal blood test result. I waited until after 2pm to call. I was then waiting for 33 minutes to get through. Once through, I was told that there were no more appointments to book. Ever. I asked the receptionist, what never? And she replied, never. She told me to call back the following day. What a wonderful surgery. You can really rely on them when you’re extremely concerned over an abnormal blood test. Well done St Andrews!

Practice manager and admin staff totally and completely unprofessional, incompetent, unhelpful and obstructive. Also unprofessional Doctors this is prescribing wrong medications, no any face to face appointments. last week I booked a phone call with the doctor and I was waiting for the DR call , but unfortunately on that day practitioner called me. Rude staff, awful practice!

Can never get an appointment there. It seems the receptionists are doing there upmost to deny access to a doctor

The level of service provided is very bad! The staff are rude, doctors are dismissive (if you're lucky to see them)and internal confusion about the process. I am lucky to have a private medical insurance with work but even the referral fee from my GP costs over £80 which is outrageous. The people of whetstone deserve better!

A big thank you to the reception staff at St Andrew’s. I know GP’s and the reception staff are getting negative press at the moment but I was really impressed last week and so wanted to give St Andrew’s a shout out and say thank you. Particularly Tracey, she was efficient, kind, helpful. She managed to sort out a last minute blood test for me , she arranged an urgent prescription and called me back with updates. Very impressed and I really appreciated it.

Receptionists and Practice manager totally and completely unprofessional, incompetent, unhelpful and obstructive . We called for my mother in law who is almost 100 for an ongoing condition, known to the GP, which deteriorated resulting in loss of blood. The receptionist and the , useless, practice manager were trying to give medical advice without being qualified and refused to treat the situation as urgent and pass details to the GP. Without taking into consideration the patient’s age they were telling us to take her to the hospital ( she is not mobile). They were only helping themselves, working hard to fob us off and make sure to do nothing about a serious medical situation . Practice manager and receptionists are a disgrace and undermine the brilliant job of GPs(when they let you get through). They do not deserve one star. They were telling us at 5.30pm that they had any “clinical capacity” to deal with a 99year old lady suffering from skin cancer. This is a medical decision which they were not qualified to make. We will now refer this to the NHS complaints for an independent investigation.

I have literally been trying to get someone to answer the bloody phone for nearly a week now!! The line is also noisy and cracking for months now with no fix. The amount of one star on their Google reviews are unbelievable and for a good reason. I’ll give you 0 if I could. Staff are rude, unprofessional and unpleasant to talk when you do speak to someone they are trying to get you off the phone as quickly as possible. It’s so upsetting how people are ignored. My dog who can’t speak or write has better communication than you!

Quite telling how many 1x star reviews of this place. I share most of the negative views on this medical practice. They simply do not care about their patients or their responsibilities. They need investigating and I hope people make their complaints official as something needs to change.

I am so shocked by the reviews for this practice. I have been with them for 15 years. I have found everybody helpful, & polite. My prescriptions are sent through on time and doctors have called me back as promised, on one occasion at night to ensure I was contacted that day. I am moving out of Whetstone & hope that my next practice is as good. Thank you St Andrews!

We’ve been with St Andrews since we moved here a few years ago… they’re a very busy surgery but have always promptly helped us with anything we need - from bigger things like hospital surgery to smaller things like antibiotics for a chest infection. The staff are lovely too… especially Tracy! She goes above and beyond.

Probley learnt more in 20mins than I did in 5 years at my previous practice, I have read the reviews and iam sure it's how people feel but I can absolutely assure their is way worse Gp practices out their, I understand their under pressure for time at gp meetings but it's organised and I can see their putting everything in their power to keep it stream line it's Probley not perfect as a whole but when people are trying their best to rectifie and fix these problems I think they deserve respect for that alone, having read other reviews and my own experiences with them over the last few years I can see huge improvements over the last year so for that I say we'll done and keep up the great work

My experience at St Andrews medical practice has always been positive. Tracy usually answers the phone and is empathetic when listening to your concerns (I have not met her in person) and swift to book you in. Today I booked an urgent appointment and was seen by Dr R Choudhury. I was very happy with his consultation, he is professional yet understanding and I didn’t feel rushed in his presence. He referred me to have an x-ray and assured me he would call me in person should there be any concerns. My experience today was 5 stars!

Don't go here - I was referred for microsuction and they did a terrible job. My ear was still blocked afterwards and I now have a perforated ear drum. See an ENT specialist instead, it's not worth risking it.

Dr Reddy & Dr Hutter are always very helpful. Frequent prescription & test mistakes. Some of the reception staff would benefit from training to deal with the public. Attitudes are often quite presumptuous & patronising - passive aggressive.

I had an appointment with Dr Reddy at St Andrews Medical Practice today. She is a lovely GP: attentive, thorough and reassuring. Everything you’d want in a doctor.

Excellent work. Thanks for all you do. They give urgent on the day appointments rather than many surgeries requesting to do it via E-Consult and they make sure patients have the best care. I personally spoke to Tracey and she is lovely. Thank you.

This used to be an excellent GP practice up until about 5 years ago. Then it started to be difficult to get a timely appointment. When Covid-19 hit, everything changed, and it became very difficult to get an appointment. Today, it is impossible to get an appointment if you fall somewhere between needing emergency treatment and not quite urgent but needing treatment. You are pushed away by reception staff. I have decided to see a private GP where I will be seen quickly by a GP who has recently left the NHS or is working part time in the NHS. Our GP services are so bad they are responsible for privatizing the NHS. We should get a rebate on our taxes if we are not receiving the service we pay for. Toby

I can’t say a bad word about this practice, I’ve been a patient here for quite some years now and the staff are so lovely and always make me feel at ease from the reception team to the nurses, would highly recommend!

My wife had an appointment yesterday at 11,she’s pregnant and got 15 months baby.she went there at 11 and been in queue for long, then been told by reception go upstairs and wait.lift not working and she was carrying her baby and waited an hour and no one called her.when she back to reception still waited 20 minutes to find out what’s going on.after all she simply said we can squeeze u on Thursday at 10 and when she asked what about today reception said u been late and last the appointment!!!she earlier diagnosed with subchorionic haematoma and backache all the time.since she’s got back her bleeding got worst and worst.whatevere gonna happens to my wife and baby I blame GP for not caring about pregnant patients, lost appointment without any reason.absolutely heartbroken and disappointed.

The staff team at St Andrews consistently go above and beyond to ensure each patient's wellbeing. The Receptionists, Nurses and Doctors are some of the kindest people I have come across, taking the time to be reassuring and thorough when treating both myself and my young son. I have been astounded again and again during this pandemic by their upbeat positivity and their abundant warmth towards each patient. I have always known that I am in very good hands at this practice; I am always listened to, and leave the practice with a clear understanding of any next steps, which I am very grateful for. Thank you!

Near impossible to get an appointment and reception staff have been incredibly difficult to deal with in previous years. Drs are hit and miss and it's unfortunate there isn't an easy way to book an appointment with the same Dr once you find a good one. Online booking system / app bookings are not working and you have to stay on hold for ~30mins before finding out if (and that's a big if) there are any appointments. Simply put, the practice is struggling.
