Chessington Standard Parking

Parking lot

🫤 £4 for parking isn't TOO bad, Thorpe Park is now £8!! It should be free for parking, but hey ho, Merlin isn't about customer satisfaction, it is there to make money for its shareholders. That is all. People often mention parking, park, field,

The postcode KT9 2NE takes you to the hotel car parking which isn't the standard parking area. Need clearer sign posts to say the standard parking entrance is further down the road which can be missed so easily. On the positive side it's really spacious and 1 min walk from the explorer entrance taking you straight into Wild Asia area. You can park on the grass if it's full on the day, options are pay on your way out, I'd reccomend to get prepaid code at home which you scan on your way out, plus it's cheaper costing £4.

Five quid to park in a muddy field, even music festivals have better parking and steel ramps for the cars to drive over. Fix the potholes!!! If you're going to charge then maintain the access, you have no excuse

My Honda Civic got stuck in the mud while i revved it as loud as possible, it slowly sank until they couldn't get it out. Apparently its still there and if you stop on the ground in a certain spot it'll honk the horn.

Was really just a big field and not sure why it says about paying as seemed the barriers went up on approach and this was at 3pm when only a few people were leaving. Only redeeming part was staff directing on arrival but otherwise could do with actual signposting and a proper car pack.

Road in not too bad, though not sure there is actually a road out, so many very large potholes, surprisingly I didn't damage my car. When leaving don't even attempt to do the 5mph speed limit. Parking is nothing special, just parking in a field.

It's just a big field used for parking visitors cars. At the exit the Bar code scanner wasn't working.

If your gonna park your car at Chessington because your there for the day then this is honestly the most ridiculous prompt I've had to fill in lol. But aside from that it was quick in and out! The barrier broke on exit so it was free too!! 😁😁😁😁 MWAHAHAHAHA!!

Just a mud pile so expect cars sliding about the place and very muddy shoes.

Go there if you love more than 1 hour queue.

Parking here is an absolute shambles! There are no parking attendants or marked bays, so people just dump their cars all over the place, meaning the chances of getting blocked in are high. Couple this with the fact that it is essentially just field with ruts fit for tractors. If it is a wet day, good luck! Luckily, I have a 4x4, so I was able to get out but can see others will struggle! The signage is appalling. We followed some tiny exit signs only to be met with a dead end and locked gates, not handy!

Be careful on the way out. It's full of pot holes. It's not good for your car. As you have to pay to park there, you would think they would take care of it
