THIEVES OPERATE IN THIS BAR Left my bag with valuables inside and bouncers would not let me retrieve my belongings. They said verbatim "I will have to wait until the place closes for me to get my bag". I begged and plead with the two bouncers to either get my bag for me or let me go inside and get it, however they were rude and again repeated I had to wait until the end of the night. I said their logic is flawed, because my bag will get stolen and that is exactly what happened. 30 minutes later I found my bag around the corner with all my valuables stolen-my passport, keys and all my cards gone. The scums had some heart to leave my makeup. This could have been prevented had the bouncers got my bag for me. Please train your staff how to effectively problem solve. If I could leave leave a -100 star, I would. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I would like to be contacted by management.

Not terrible inside. But horrible security. Big, young bouncer wearing a balaclava dragged my friend out for supposedly vaping, and then smashed my other friend into a wall when he tried to explain. The security clearly abuse their authority and some of them were just looking for a fight. Won’t be coming here again.

The look of the place is good !! Staff are rude drinks are expensive and entry was £10 for flat mixers. We told the bar staff for them to sort out the gass in the draft drinks and was spoken to rudely. Generally a good vibe of people but the dead and expensive drinks really killed the tone won't be coming back !!

Didn’t even make it inside the bar (which is probably a blessing judging by the other reviews), as the ‘security’ and staff were extremely rude and confiscated a self-defense key chain in my bag that is fully legal. I even Googled to show the bouncer that this was the case and he continued to try and take it off of me and make up excuses, so I told him fine we won’t go in, to which he responded by trying to not give my own possessions back to me. AVOID at all costs!!!

They used the excuse that we are drunk and not letting us in. But we didn’t even drink at all, and the fact is they just don’t like Asian ppl… Can’t believe there are still racism place

The worst place I've ever been in my life. Paid £20 for entry and a complementary shot but when requested the staff lied that it was ever offered to me and my friends. When we spoke to the manager she said to either leave or stay but we're not getting anything complementary. The place was dirty and smelly. There were many fights going around and the security didn't care at all. Had to leave in the end as one of the guys dancing spilled his drink all over my friends and I.

The music was great and was out with a good bunch so had fun but the white tins of lager and cheap wine were grim. Also lots of leery men and no staff keeping an eye on anything except serving budget booze at sky high prices

Mixed race bouncer on door with an ego issue and RACIST in my opinion. We was told the doors are closed and we are not getting in however a few minutes later a group of non Asians were allowed straight in. Give this place a miss. The one star is too much. Have a justifiable reason to say NO. I may try again once the RACIST is not there. Spend your money elsewhere for now. Good luck all. Stay safe.

Horrible place. Rude staff especially the mixed race lady on the door. £30 for some watery drinks is a joke. Save yourself some trouble and money and go to a proper bar

Awful customer service and the manager treated us so bad. I didn’t get her name but considering the factors don’t go here. The bouncers knew where 3 people paid and left the last person. It’s a trap

Staff is rude. I wanted to hold my ID while the bouncer was looking at it, fair request since my documents are important to me and bouncers are not public officials. She refused me entry without even looking at it.

Do not go here. Had the unfortunate displeasure of visiting this bar more than once. The drinks are badly priced and not very good. DJ was rude. Only W was decent little corner for photos, this was made easier as nobody else was in the bar so had plenty of choice where to sit. The Watford FC of bars

Probably the most unwelcoming and grim place I’ve ever bothered to go to in a desperate act for one last drink on a Monday night. Just go home after the pubs close. The girl on the door who actually bothered to speak to us was just awful.

I gave 1 star only because it’s the lowest I could give, otherwise I would have given 0/5. The place is a scam. We paid our tickets and got stamped at the entrance. After finding ourselves in a small and claustrophobic room, we decided to go out for a smoke. No one of the security told us that we should have stayed inside the gates (which was a small area as well for 10 of us) so we went next to the gates. Once we were to go back, even with the stamps, we were asked to paid the full ticket again. The stuff was very rude. Not to mention that the research at the entrance from security is done only on “non white” people. Never again!

A great place though the air can be super stuffy when busy. The DJ was super rude, it was my boyfriends birthday and I wanted to request him to play a song. He refused to talk to me and i feel this simple request he couldn’t listen to? Not coming to this location anymore. That is not how you treat clients! He would do with some basic human interaction skills!!

Pretty weird bar/club. Not bad but not great. Drinks are very expensive (£15 a double). Entry will cost between £10-£20 depending who you are (seems they pick and choose). Bar staff are quite aloof but not unfriendly. Music is mixed. Crowd is quite young (18-19yrs old), with older males and definitely more men to women. Quite small and dingy inside. Definitely a mixed crowd, with some odd characters, one to be aware of your surroundings at.

Very poor customer service form the bartender who seems more interested in picking her clients than giving quality service. Bouncers are frendly enough, but definately a place to watch yourself around.

We felt very unsafe there, my phone was stolen, the staff were horrible to us. The cover charge was expensive for terrible service and music.

Although fun music and a space to dance. The bathroom clerk spent 15 minutes blackmailing me into giving him a tip of more than £5 otherwise he was going to tell security that I had illicit items on me. Despite me showing my pockets, he was still threatening to get security if I didn’t tip him.

Simply fantastic place. Elegant yet vibrant, spacious yet intimate - the sunset bar is the best place for a night out in Shoreditch. The DJ plays a wide range of popular songs and the bar staff are friendly and accommodating. My friends and I had a fantastic time when we visited recently. 10/10 would recommend.

Kicked out because of ridiculous reasons. The operations manager was very rude when i spoke to him outside Not a place to go Do not enter. Not a good night.

Bouncer didn’t allow me entry because I was a woman alone meeting friends who were already inside. She said I had to call one of them & have them come outside and verify that I’m with them(?!) Issue is, the place is apparently a little dingy basement with no phone signal, so obviously my calls/messages couldn’t get through. A.) What even is that rule?! So ridiculous and illogical. What were they scared of happening? B.) Surely if they implement that rule regularly, they would know that the phone signal is terrible inside? Explained this to the bouncers but they didn’t care and had no empathy whatsoever in the situation they’d caused. So I just had to wait outside for ages in the cold because I needed to meet up with my friends. In the mean time, a queue formed and they let in a ton of people without asking any of them if they were alone. Such a weird and bad experience. Also ignore the neon lights saying free entry - clearly it was super expensive (Sat night) to get in as a few people came out and warned their friends about the cover charge.

Tacky and seedy. Any venue with no trainer / sportswear is best avoided. Aggressive door staff with big chips on shoulders. So many better places nearby. Check them out instead.

Horrendous 10 er to get in down thr steps not enough room to swing a cat. TINY little club. Waste of time and money Very expensive E1 larger can for £7. Upstairs security were good. Down stairs the 2 guys behind the bar. Looked like they were ready to pounce. Few people clearly of their heads. I wont be going back.
