I love history and I love haunted places, so this was a great place to explore from me. You can explore so much of the ship at your leisure, or you can participate in a haunted tour. I roamed around the ship from 2:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. by myself just exploring freely and spooking myself out. We stayed in a cabin for a couple of nights and it was very comfortable. They had a great mix of comfort and convenience along with original fittings, fixtures, decorations that really take you back in time. The ship has numerous exhibits, Museum areas, tons of information to learn from. The staff were very friendly, including the captain who we met at one of the bars on board - he was not drinking, just doing the rounds and introducing himself. We ate at the Winston Churchill restaurant, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was phenomenal. I enjoyed being on this ship so much and I would love to go back.

We love this place! Such a unique place to be able to visit. While it is not a sister ship to the Titanic, the resemblance is certainly there. Itโ€™s wonderful to be able to explore the ship and see what it has to offer. When we visited we were able to stay overnight on the ship which was also a lot of fun! It wasnโ€™t the most luxurious accommodations, but our room was certainly comfortable. It was sad for me to hear that the ship is currently closed. I hope that itโ€™s able to reopen one day! Itโ€™s such a special place.

Perfect for staying before or after your cruise. The ship is old. Decay is everywhere, walls are thin, floors are uneven, the tables and chairs lean a bit...and all of that is amazing. It's exactly what you would expect from this old girl. What a great use for a retired ship. Walk easily to Carnival Panorama.

What an incredible experience! To the low reviews, you are staying on a 1936 vessel that is mostly original, so NO, donโ€™t expect a fridge and lots of electronics. That being said, the rooms are fabulous and the beds are incredible. No ghost sightings but wandered the entire ship until I found the pool. Hopefully one day they can make it safe enough to enter. That being said, itโ€™s an old ship, so donโ€™t plan on it equaling a new cruise liner. If you have a little imagination, you can easily see what it was like to sail her back in the day back and forth from NY to Southampton. Phenomenal renovations and the staff was ALL friendly and second to none. Dinner and breakfast both was excellent, wait staff impeccable. Fantastic experience. As a boat owner, I cannot recommend this experience enough.

My wife and I stayed at the Queen Mary for our honeymoon in 2017 and it was the best hotel stay we've yet had. They upgraded our room for free, delivered us champagne and chocolate Strawberries as a wedding present, and gave us a free ghost tour on our last day. The ship itself is a fun little museum experience and getting to have coffee on the deck is something you don't want to miss. I'm sad to hear about all the recent issues the ship has had, I really recommend seeing it while you still can.

The most AWFUL hotel experience of my life. I rented an interior room for a week at an extremely discounted rate several months prior to our stay. When we arrived, it was very busy. We traveled to Malibu not knowing if we would return that night. I have a bad knee and my daugher was pregnant. We ended up returning to our room after a long walk to find the front desk had rented our room without even contacting us. After an infuriating conversation with the desk clerk, I realized they were fully booked at FULL RATES. Just like every other hotel within 40 miles. It was either sleep In our rental car or pay 13x our former rate for a hotel 40 miles away. THIS WAS TRULY A CRIMINAL ACT. I should have sued them.

The hotel and tours are closed due to COVID. But an impressive site to stop by briefly. The parking is free for less than 30 minutes. That being said when I went there the exit toll was disabled and open so even if I stayed longer I wouldn't have to pay.

When I went a few months ago the inside was closed but I did get some great exterior shots! I'd call before you go if you're looking to take a tour or stay the night. In 2004 however my mother and I did go aboard for a tour and to walk around on the ship and it was an amazing experience! The tour even took you through the broiler rooms! Gift shop had alot of neat trinkets as well! So even revisiting it from the outside brought back memories.

I loved it. I find it hilarious that some reviews complain about the rooms being dated. Would they prefer a 1936 floating museum of a ship be remodeled? Perhaps get rid of the dated brass and wood? Let's replace it with the boring white washed Apple store look. Please learn to appreciate history and sometimes the quirkiness that comes with it. I look forward to visiting the Queen Mary again.

This is easily one of the coolest places Iโ€™ve ever been. I am a huge fan of ocean liners and the golden age of the old transatlantic voyages. It was so cool to see the ship and be able to explore while learning about her history. The tours were absolutely incredible. Whatโ€™s more, I am a huge fan of โ€œThe Poseidon Adventureโ€, which was inspired by this ship (and the 1972 movie adaptation was partially filmed on it). I came back here several times during my trip. Itโ€™s really cool at night. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested, it is totally worth the price of admission. Plus, they have bars and restaurants on board. I donโ€™t know if they still do this, but you used to be able to go aboard in the evening (not sure what time this started) and the cost you had to pay at entrance (just to go aboard, tours cost extra) can be put towards your bill (I think that was how it worked anyway). It was really cool.

It said it was closed on my Google app. We were going to the cruise ship and I saw it and I was interested in seeing what it was like inside. I remember going there several years back and having Queen Mary beer and had a good experience there and they blew the ship horn. It was very interesting. Would like to see it open again. Looks like it needs some paint and some TLC

Fantastic customer service. We tried to stay here for a wedding before they were formally open and unfortunately, there was an issue with our room (to be expected, as the ship is still under repairs and we were sort of a test run before public reopening). The front desk staff were all extremely nice and offered the options that had, but they were unable to offer us a different room and the options available didn't work. The extremely nice gentleman in charge insisted upon booking us a room at the nearest hotel at their cost, even after I explained that I totally understood the situation and was planning to book a room out of my own pocket. This kind of classy, generous, old school hospitality is extremely hard to find anymore. I would absolutely stay here again when they reopen to the public solely based on this single interaction. Helps that the ship is beautiful too!

We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary here Memorial Day weekend and it was amazing. They werenโ€™t open to day guests, which suited me and my husband just fine! The service was incredible and everyone was so nice and helpful. You can tell most enjoy telling tales of the ship and its different rooms. The Chowder Houseโ€™s food was delicious. The only bummer was the lack of beers to choose from both the bar and restaurant. However, my husband is now a fan of the Port of Call cocktail due to lack of beer choices! We could not figure out how to make the shower water a comfortable temperature and the toilets didnโ€™t flush completely, but such is an old ship, right? It was not a cheap weekend but we enjoyed it all. So relaxing without crowds and enjoyed the โ€œOverlook Hotelโ€ feel. Alas, we did not encounter any ghosts. Next time!

I had a great experience with my daughters and my husband. We did the haunted tour and our guide was very nice and shared wonderful stories about the Queen Mary. The ship is absolutely beautiful although it gives a creepy vibes itโ€™s still beautiful to see. I took lots of pictures just in case and sure enough going back through the pictures at home Iโ€™d notice some strange reflections and orbs. Pretty cool and scary! Definitely will be scheduling another tour soon.

Haven't been inside the queen Mary but the area around it is just as fun. There's a small park there and the Waterview is very nice and relaxing. Come see the queen Mary and maybe have a picnic here. Had a great time

The Queen Mary is a superb attraction. Under mounting pressure, the Queen Mary is kept to a highly presentable standard and faithful to her original finish. She look glorious in her mooring and great to see her on this visit. Definitely worth a visit on a really enjoyable walk around the harbour area.

Such a beautiful ship and a great place to stay the night. The history and stories behind this ship make the stay even better. Also canโ€™t ignore the wonderful ocean views, sunsets, and dinners provided during your stay. Would recommend to anyone

HANDS DOWN one of our favorite hotel experiences. For those who haven't stayed on the Queen Mary (or at least visited), you're missing out on a unique experience. Imagine if the Titanic hadn't sunk, and was preserved as a (reasonably priced!) hotel. It's a floating museum that dubs as a hotel complete with restaurants and preserved bars. Add to that a "Shining" vibe in a very cool old spooky kind of way (if ghosts do exist, I imagine they could be found on QM). Please, PLEASE keep the Queen Mary afloat and in business. My wife and I still can't believe how so many people aren't aware of this gem. It's so freaking cool

I loved my stay on the Queen Mary and will definitely stay here every time I go on a cruise out of Long Beach. We booked 2 rooms to accommodate our family. My adult kids arrived before we did and the front desk allowed them to check into both rooms. Super convenient and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and I love the historical charm. The bar was fantastic and the service was top notch. The Shaqtober fest was happening during our stay in the parking lot in front of the QM and our kids had a fun time. Breakfast was delicious. We opted for the menu rather than the buffet. Service was prompt and friendly. The hostess suggested we take a look at the Lego display. Fantastic suggestion. We didn't have time for any tours but next time for sure! Staying on the QM the night before our cruise made embarkation a breeze. My husband got a prime parking spot in the parking garage and walking from QM to our cruise ship was super easy. I can't wait to visit again.

Had to jump out to take a couple quick photos before the "security" guards chased us away. Apparently the bankruptcy assets must include any close images! Ha! Anyway, it was cool to see the port as we drove in, and then went to the aquarium side to get good pictures of the Queen and the Soviet Scorpion sub. If they ever open her up, I look forward to actually seeing her.

This historic floating hotel is one of my favorite points of interest! While it normally hasnโ€™t been included when I take my group around LA, itโ€™s an awesome sight to see and even stay at, when going down to Long Beach! If and when the ship is open for tours once again, it may be well worth the time and effort to see while in the area. Until then, perhaps I can relate some of my experience here. Taking the Queen Mary tour is like having a look back in time. From the helm with itโ€™s obsolete equipment, to the wood-grained hallโ€™s and stairways, this ship is a relic! The old bridge navigation equipment was on display, along with the brass helm wheels and relay levers. Downstairs engine room operations were were also displayed for visitors. I was impressed viewing the captains quarters, tho sympathetic of the much smaller passenger room, or lack thereof! Nowadays, these tiny spaces are more of a novelty to sleep in. Thereโ€™s a modern cruise ship station just beyond the stern of the Queen Mary. People Iโ€™ve taken on tours while in port from there, mention having been or wanting to tour the old ship. Thereโ€™s a seaport village dockside, with quaint British styled shops. Parking is plentiful with the time stamped ticket stub to pay when leaving. Public buses from elsewhere, including the Long Beach Transit Passport, make regular stops thru the parking lot as well.

Took a tour of the QM and learned all about this ship's amazing history. They are currently working on renovations, so we weren't able to stay the night, but I would love to return at some point in the future and stay on the ship. Highly recommend a tour once they open back up if you are in the area!

Shaqtoberfest at the Queen Mary. Excellent music. Fun mazes. Retro rides. Carnival food. Parking was a challenge because the lots were oversold. Parking cost $25 - $30 prepare to wait in line for everything. Not suitable for young children.

This was a nice tour. Not too expensive. About $10 per person. We did the glory days tour. It's short, about a half an hour. The ship has a little bit of a musty odor, which is to be expected. It was interesting to see some of the old rooms in the ship and their uses. After the tour, take some time to go back and find the model ship room. They have models of many old ships some cutaways too.

A wonderful place to visit and free (except for paid parking) to wander around her decks, take in her history, views, bars, restaurants and souvenir shops. Queen Mary also being a floating hotel offers you the chance to stay in one of their many 1930s style art deco rooms along with a variety of paid guided tours to view the entire ship and learn it's history including its "alleged" haunted history tours.

Did the evening 2 hour tour of the ship. Parking is free after some point, not really sure when but we stayed until midnight. The tour was not crowded this late and the kids were not scared with all the ghost stories. Highly recommend for a different experience than the norm. Fyi the shops close at 8pm and dining was very good at the Promenade Cafe.

We did the paranormal ship tour and our guide Paul (Uncle Paul) was amazing. He had history with the Grand Lady and not only told us about some of her amazing history along with that of some of her passengers. Paul guided us to many areas of the ship Including the infamous room B340, the Captains room and crew quarters, and many other areas closed off all the while getting both history and paranormal information. You can tell he has an amazing love for This beautiful lady and it's not hard to see why. I myself had the Experience of being touched by something that I can not explain. She is a beautiful ship and I beyond happy that she is being restored. We want to thank Paul for the experience we had and his wealth of knowledge! And much of the profits are out back into The Queen Mary restoring her beauty. I can't wait to return and see her again!

What a fun experience! Most of the ship you can tour yourself but they do offer several tours that you pay for. The room was nice and cleanly, but there is no air conditioning. We asked for a fan and that made all the difference. The beds weren't very comfortable, TV remote wouldn't change the channel, and there was a very limited amount of electrical outlets. We didn't experience anything supernatural in our room but did around the ship. The hotel staff were very pleasant and kind.

You know, sometimes we all get so busy and lost in our own lives we forget to slow down and look around. For me personally, this ship has always been around and not too far since Iโ€™m a SoCal resident, yet I never really would think about going to visit. I finally decided to change that and I am very glad I did. We were excited to see that she finally reopened and was getting some wonderful attention for repairs and maintenance. It had been a long time since I had been but even still it felt like a whole new experience for me. The sights and smells were just so different than any average place. To be on a piece of history with so many stories to tell and things to see i was more than happy spending my few days there and around the city. I mean the thing is almost 90 years old and still stands to be enjoyed by our generations today. As far as checking into the hotel it was more than easy, the staff was very helpful and ready to clean a mess up or help out. The tours seemed wonderful and exploring around at night adds in some extra eerie vibes (given the history) but not in the scary sense. The rooms were more than enough and the beds are quite clean and comfortable. The location of this ship is also perfect considering the views and things to do around Long Beach. All around she is an amazing ship and I strongly suggest a visit/vacation. As a 23 year old I understand that a lot of kids my age never give this stuff a thought or never really know it even exists. Nonetheless Id like to spread the word and any person at any age should pay a visit and should listen and learn about why that ship has been around for as long as it has!

Photos I added were from 2012. If you are a fan of art deco or of history from the '20s, '30s, and '40s, then this place will be incredibly memorable for you to visit. Spectacular art deco piece of art with spectacular details throughout the ship. Pictures don't do it justice.

Firstly, this is not Titanic! This ship has its own history to bring to the plate! I love learning history and experiencing old worldly things that were made 100s of years ago! This ship is said to be one of the top 10 haunted places in America and whatโ€™s to think about in spending to see for yourself what was considered royal at a time??! I would like to plead to the owner though, please keep up with the maintenance of this beautiful gem!

Historical vessel and now landmark in Long Beach. While I did not enter the Queen Mary for this event, I have been on the ship recently and in the past as a child. It has everything you would expect for a passenger ship. Beautiful staterooms for events, multiple bars throughout the ship, upper and lower decks for sightseeing the ocean and downtown LA skyline. I would recommend a visit.

It's wonderful to see such a magnificent and mighty ship decked on Long Beach, Los Angeles California. The very fact that the ship travelled transatlantic more than a 1000 times in its 30 years of operation itself speaks volumes of it's greatness. More than 50 million people have visited the ship sodat. What else can we speak of its greatness?. A must see iconic spot when you visit Los Angeles.

Beautiful and perfect! It was my 1st time in Long Beach and staying on the Queen Mary , so I was a little nervous. She is amazing and I will definitely be coming back. The staff was so nice and Vero at the Observation Bar was exceptional. She gave us so much information about the Queen and recommended local spots in the area. The details on the ship and in our room was breathtaking! Best birthday trip ever!!!!

Worth a visit or staying the night simply for the history and experience! Where else can you stay in one of the most famous ships in history? One of the last, if not the last surviving 1930's steam ocean liners in mostly original configuration. Restaurants are good, the bar and staff are awesome and it's the original bar! The ship and freedom to wander around it and have adventures is amazing! My only complaint is really just due to what it is. It's an old steam liner meant to have a lot of engine noise. Without the engines running, the walls are wafer thin and rooms are as loud as your neighbors decide. No sound dampening what so ever. Still 100% recommend staying a night! So cool!

This is a historic ship and has an interesting and varied past. We loved staying there. The staff are smart and friendly and nice to deal with. Even the Starbucks staff were helpful. The exhibits are wonderful and have plenty of information. We had a drink in the Observation Bar and it's 1930's decor is lovely. The staff were nice and attentive To the rooms, well I would say don't expect too much. The state room we stayed in was clean and the bed was very comfortable. In our bathroom the tap was loose and we had no hot water. We were compensated fairly for the lack of hot water so we were happy. The light fittings were broken and needed attention but they did work fine. Just remember it is nearly 100 years old so bare that in mind. There is no or very little sound proofing so you can hear next cabin speaking. Would I stay there again. Yes I would I loved it. It is a bit expensive but a great experience. Recommended

Great location by the Port! There's a lot of history that they preserved. I did a really fun ghost tour that I attended and thoroughly enjoyed! The tour is done after hours at night. The event I went to was really lovely. Great picture opportunities all around! I haven't had a bad visit yet minus the summer heat. It does get hot at the queen Mary during summertime. During fall, it is perfectly chilled and a comfortable stay. It's just really old stuff around you. Be mindful there are many stairs around the ship, so wear proper shoes. Smoking is not allowed by any means inside the ship due to the highly flammable and sensitive wood that they kept to preserve the authenticity of the ship. It's worth checking out if you've never been, and it's bigger than the Titanic. If you see an event there, plan ahead and see about how parking will be because some events will only take a shuttle or rideshare to get there.

It's within driving distance to everything you need. The history of the Queen Mary is amazing, so they didn't even need to sell me much in order to enjoy myself. Downsides are that it does feel like an older building.. she's up in age but still clean and beautiful. There was only one restaurant for dining open and they close early on weekdays. Staff was very courteous. They have tried to preserve as much as possible of the original setup, so I give them an A for effort. Of course, new floors, unfinished areas, etc. We are keeping her alive, so please come and enjoy yourself!

I'm so excited to get back to the Queen. It's literally been 10 years. Made a trip back before covid and it was closed for renovations. Back up and running, and I can't wait!! The tours are amazing. So full of legit history. Haunted ghost tours at night are pretty fun from what I hear. Like any historical place, I'm sure it's got it's share of the "dark side". The food was excellent and there were events happening all around. Such a great place to stay.

The ship, which used to be a hotel and a restaurant is temporarily closed due tontee pandemic. There is no place to park the car to take a picture of it. You must park the car in a prohibited zone, which resulted in something uncomfortable for me. Nice pictures could be taken, though.

What an interesting place to stay. The well maintained and restored parts of the ship are beautiful. There are some older parts that need work, but I am sure that they are trying. The food in the restaurant was superb. The staff was all very nice, but we had to wait a long time for our room. They may not have enough staff. We were going on a Carnival cruise the next day, and it was a short walk to get there. It is a convenient and fun location as a place to stay the day before a cruise.

Stayed here with my granddaughter who always wanted to come to the Queen Mary for its haunted atmosphere. The haunted tour was great and the guide was informative. The rooms are very dated like a 90 year old ship would be however, I feel they could have updated the lighting and added a nightstand next to the bed. The bed was comfortable enough. The choices of places to eat are not great. Breakfast buffet at $28 a person seems and was way over priced. The hotel staff are all friendly. Walking around the ship was fun and a great view of the harbor. I wouldnโ€™t stay here again but experiencing it once was enough.

I went to the Queen Mary for the first time ever. I have always wanted to go in hopes of checking out the allegedly haunted areas and maybe capturing a ghost. I went on the Haunted Emcounters Tour which was an hour long tour and they took us through the paranormal hot spots on the ship. It was a really great experience. I highly recommend taking photos when you go on tour, you may just catch something on camera like I did. I took a photo of the first class pool room which is closed off to the public at the moment, and it looks like there may have been an apparition in the top right corner at the top of the stairs at the doorway. This really made my entire trip as this is my first time capturing something on camera. I'll definitely be back for more! The staff was excellent and really helpful, friendly, and professional. I will definitely be back for another one of their tours and for the self guided tours and other paranormal tours once they offer them again.

This place is awesome. The first thing that surprised me was the size of the ship. Any picture or show I've ever seen on it doesn't do it justice. It's beautiful. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We ate four meals on the ship, and they all were excellent. I loved everything about this ship. We will definitely go back again.

A truly memorable stay and a cherished memory. Steak restaurant was one of the best ever. Can't wait for it's return....some of the finest art deco on the planet and a real nostalgic feeling of times gone by.

A very awesome experience, the tour guide was fantastic! He knew a lot about the various rooms, equipment and history of the ship. The ship itself was very beautiful, while various parts of the ship was updated, it was cool to see the parts that remained the same. Lastly, we ate while on the Queen Mary and the food was very delicious. I had a burger (Queen Mary burger?) and it was very filling, excellent portions. Overall an experience I would do again.

Rooms themselves are absolutely amazing: large, beautifully decorated, with amazing views. The service is absolutely amazing: everyone who I have run into that works here goes above and beyond in making sure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The problem is at nearly $300 a night there isn't a single pool or jacuzzi. You would think they make enough money to at the very least redo one of the original pools or simply adding in a couple of mobile jacuzzi units. Further All the group rooms original to the ocean liner are used for meetings or weddings and therefore closed to the public (guests included). Those two issues are the only reason this beautiful historic hotel doesn't get 5 stars.

One of the best experiences of my life, as a ship expert this was an extremely amazing experience. As you know I am probably more obsessed with ships than anyone in the world. As you know my motto is "Ships are my life." Also when I'm an adult I will become a cargo ship captain, I'll captain Triple E cargo ships! Anyway one of the best experiences of my entire life!

This is quite the historic place. It is interesting to stay here. There is plenty to look at, lots to wonder through and the staff is very nice and accommodating. Went here for a company Christmas party and had a wonderful time. The staff was very nice and helpful, the food was very good, the drinks were a bit expensive, but it's the holidays and everything is expensive this year!! The rooms have been refurbished (not remodeled), and they still have the charm of the old room with some modern amenities. They are not big, but the suites are. Overall, this place is more of an experience than a stay at any regular hotel. You feel like you're back in time and feel the souls of all the people who have wondered these decks back in the day. Stay for a day or a couple, and relive the past today.

This unique hotel is a decent value when you consider the insane hotel prices around LA. A fantastic bar on the forward deck area overlooking Long Beach harbor. Rooms are a bit dated and claustrophobic, but very clean and have a historic feel. Plenty of parking and great access for cruisers at the port within steps of the entrance. The breakfast was above average and the gift shops are great. Lots of history all over the ship. Haunted tours available.

The rooms are very big. It's a historic site so you have no control over the temp, however the temp was fine. They offer fans and blankets. The ship itself is so much fun to explore. We want to go back and stay an extra day just to explore and see it all. Very close to the Carnival Cruise Port

We attended a 6 pm wedding on the Promenade deck. Gorgeous harbor view The reception was inside, one deck below. The appetizers were tasty, great open bar well stocked, and the staff and service were quite good. The meal itself was also tasty as weddings go, and everyone was finishing their plate (nice portion of filet and mushroom stuffed chicken breast combo). Every staff member was friendly... they are really welcoming everyone back with open arms . My teenage son went on the tour the night before and really enjoyed it with his group of friends. .. they also stayed over night and loved wandering around the ship late evening. No parking fee. Worth the trip. It's like going on a cruise with no risk of getting seasick!

We first toured the Queen Mary back in 2001. This time we spent one night, before leaving Long Beach on a cruise the next day. The woodwork and Art Deco design is abundant and absolutely beautiful. We took the haunted ship tour (for which we received a substantial discount since we were spending the night on the ship). Our guide Paul was full of knowledge and had an entertaining delivery, which really made the tour a treat. We enjoyed learning some history and seeing parts of the ship one doesn't get to see on one's own. Our room was roomy enough for us and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom has a very low sink and toilet, which were cute. But the tub was rather dangerous. It is so narrow that we couldn't stand totally flat, and had to bend our feet sideways or stand sideways to the shower faucet to complete our showers. But we got the jobs done. We got a kick out of the faucets that included hot and cold SALT water as well as fresh water. We were warned upon checking in that the ship could feel cold, and it did. We were offered an extra blanket if needed. I would recommend visiting the ship at a warmer time of year. The food in the Promenade Cafe was expensive and mediocre. I had the Fish & Chips entree. The fish was unidentified and even in the batter it was rather tasteless. The fries were okay. My husband had a grilled chicken sandwich and felt that it was just okay. The breakfast buffet the next morning left us underwhelmed as well, and was expensive especially for what we received. We really enjoyed the old photographs that are on display throughout the ship, the decor in general, and the decorated Christmas tree was beautiful. Overall I would recommend a short stay on the Queen Mary, if only to get a sense of what it must have been like to travel on a grand ship and to see the marquetry and beautiful pieces of curved wood that is in abundance everywhere on the ship.

I had a nice adventure during my one night stay on the Queen Mary, and would be interested in going back but regrettably wonโ€™t be due to the quality of the rooms. I liked that the rooms were not redone totally to modern standards. Seeing the old heating vents, bathroom fixtures, fan and furniture etc., which made it easy to imagine oneself back in the day sailing off towards England or wherever. Being there the night also provided ample time to explore the ship, even late hunting for the rumored ghosts and early for the sunrise. Regrettably, one could only look into the ball room, and wedding chapel, making one wish there were more areas open to view. Unfortunately though, the walls are thin and was able to hear conversations in the next rooms as if I were in the same one. I even heard items being placed on the furniture, TV being watched and of course bathroom visits. There was a used piece of soap in the bathroom, broken towel rack, empty conditioner bottle, broken heater, non-working security peep hole, only 1 ac outlet in the bedroom (of which only one plug was usable). No refrigerator nor coffee, only one chair but no table and iron was provided but no board, 32" TV had a multiplexed signal so lacked proper resolution. Some of these are recurring problems in reading previous reviews. Just donโ€™t feel I received value for the exorbitant holiday price charged for a "deluxe" room nothing like what was pictured on the website, and to top it off parking extra. Rate was a bit more than double normal, so shopping for inexpensive days is highly recommended. Finally, I wished also that info about the restaurants, along with menus were provided in room rather than having to find the restaurants and inquire at each one.

Temporarily closed at the moment but the Queen Mary is definitely worth visiting when it reopens. Fantastic art deco from the 1930s. The ballroom was the largest room on any ship in the world when it was built it is still impressive. A great Museum where you can see the original first class cabins, Doctors Surgery And other original features. A trip to the bridge is definitely recommended all the original fittings and a brilliant view from the top. A trip down into the engine room is also available and fascinating to see. A unique tourist attraction well worth visiting if you are in the area.

Had an incredible experience on the Queen Mary during last weekend's Dreamstate festival. Our room was the deluxe king with harbor view and it was spacious! Great view of downtown Long Beach and the marina. All of the hotel employees were super helpful and friendly despite the craziness of dealing with thousands of ravers. Had some good food on the ship, too. Fun time, definitely recommended! Thank you!

Beautiful old ship with plenty to see and do. We stayed there for a couple of days before and after a Carnival Cruise. This is the most convenient place to stay if you are in town early for a cruise. The beds were amazing! I wanted to bring the bed home with me. The restaurants on the Queen Mary are amazing! I highly recommend Chelsea's Chowder House. The food and service is #1.

A totally unique and beautiful setting for an evening out. I love going on Tuesdays during happy hour at the observation bar with live music. It is a glamorous and historic setting like no other. I would say that there are some missed opportunities. Several areas are always closed, like the large ballroom on the promenade deck. but they would definitely make great venues for live music like in the observation bar. It would also free up some space as the bar can get quite busy. That would be a great addition to evening happy hour and would enhance the experience. It would be nice if more of the ship would be open especially in the evening because other than the bar there are not many open places. But the ship is a beautiful place to go regardless. I hope to see more work done to restore the queen Mary because it deserves a lot of care and improvement.
