First off I want to say the 2 stars I am giving today are 100% because of the food. The staff was great. The hostess was very polite and professional and the serving staff was cheerful and knowledgeable about all the dishes on the menu. Thank you Ricki and Kayla ! The food ! Wow , so we stated with the charcuterie and cheese board, beautifully plated with lots of colors. Delicious, that danish blue , so pungent, so good. Next was the French onion soup. If this is on the menu I always get it. This one was meh 😑, very sweet , not sure what stock they used. Not terrible, but different. The first main was the “Pan seared halibut with forbidden rice” , 100% mouth garbage. First off we eat with our eyes and my eyes barfed when this plate came out. Boring, the fish was over cooked and most likely re heated several times. The asparagus was over cooked and limp. The forbidden rice should be forbidden from being sold , the rice was under seasoned and over cooked. And lastly the sauce in the ramekin so fowl I couldn’t even identify it. Super disappointed at $33 Lastly was the Prime rib in , meat was ok , little tough, but the au jsu tasted like straight up hot dogs 🌭, it’s like the took hot dog water and rendered it down. I also got both of the mashed potatoes, both were very bland , I really want to taste the poblanos in the poblano mashed potatoes, but I tasted nothing , The worst. So if you want a drink and a charcuterie and cheese board then this is the place. Not a spot for a nice dinner. ☹️ Maybe I just got the B squad in the kitchen on the day I went. I will be back , one more time.

I called ahead to ask about Gluten Free options because a member of our dinner party has an allergy. I was told that they have salads, mashed potatoes and steak. When we arrived that was not the case. We were told the fried chicken was gluten free and the the waitress came back with oops it’s not. Then she informed us that the mashed potatoes are not gluten free either. So my friend ended up with a super bland chicken breast and asparagus. If you have an allergy AVOID this place. Also, they never brought out our appetizer we ordered.

we were there in a cold friday nite so the live music is inside from an indoor balcony (yeah!) otherwise it would be outside on the fenced in sidewalk). food is very good but just a little short on variety, drinks are very good as well. the service is friendly & excellent >> great atmosphere, reminded me of fab. restos of old (NYC village, hollywood east...) definitely will come back & whole-heartedly recommend it.

Live music, if you like, and a nice band’s playing outside next to the entrance door. So, don’t worry if the music is loud unless you don’t want to hear your date. Just stare at each other and fall in love and hire the band to play at your wedding. Anyway, I was amazed. Not because they played good music but the place looked quite old inside but the food was delicious. Hubby ordered a medium steak but was a bit overcooked but had a good taste. My capellini with blackened shrimp in tomato sauce was fantastic! That was a perfect dish, little capellini and flavorful blackened shrimp and a perfect taste of tomato sauce, just the way I like it. Our friend has a medium rare steak and fish and chip. The fish and chip was pretty good. I would go back for the shrimp dish. Our server did a great job taking care of our table. Great music, delicious meals. Thank you!

Party of four came here for our first experience. From the start it was weird. When the hostess helped us she told us, we’d seat you BUT it will be 10-15 minutes b/c we don’t want to stress out the server. Mind you, there are at least 5 open tables we could sit down at just to wait to be helped. I asked if we could just at least sit down ( b/c there are no seats at the front and no waiting area), but again I was given the ‘we don’t wanna stress our servers out’ excuse. So far, not happy with this experience. Took 30 minutes to be seated and another 6 minutes to be greeted by our server. 16 minutes to get our drinks (2 sodas, 1 kid water and a cocktail). Took maybe 30 minutes for our food to come out but when it did…. It was all sooo good!! I had the ribeye: so tender and juicy. Best friend had the glazed salmon with the mashed potatoes: omg. The flavor in the salmon was perfect along with the glaze (she got extra glaze on the side and I dipped my steak into it.. perfection). My daughter had the southwest salad: she absolutely LOVED it Little person had fries: some of the best fries I’ve ever tasted What they lacked in service they make up for in food. I would recommend a try to this place. Your tastebuds won’t be disappointed

Great Food! Worth the visit. The avocado and street corn appetizer was to die for. I had the cajun tofu burger. It was awesome. This place has a beautiful atmosphere and very friendly staff. Ok all that being said there were a couple of down sides. I think they need more staff. They weren't very busy, but took a while to get seated. We had to ask for silverware. My husband had the chicken sandwich, it had soggy bread. That's it. From the reviews it looks like this place hasn't been open very long so they are probably working out the kinks.

Not the worst, but not good. Forgettable. Ribeye was gamey and tasted bloody. No good char although the menu boasted "broiled." Floppy grilled asparagus. They havent attempted to get it figured out, per another image I saw on reviews. That asparagus has been flopping for awhile. Quiet on a Friday night which is telling. I see what they're trying to do but not executing. They need a well-trained kitchen, likely a new exec chef, dimmer lights, a candle on the table to welcome folks, and just a bit more passion and commitment to get there. Patio is 💯 univiting and it should draw people in. Music also meh. Didnt order dessert because the steak was so bad. Also bigger plate please! Too much food on a small plate. Local but wouldn't return. Staff was very nice but dressed a bit, ummm, Julia Roberts in pretty woman. Could up the vibe with some class. The rosemary mashed were great but who comes just for the mash. Hope this helps find some opportunities.

Wow what an awesome experience. All the staff was super friendly. The drinks and food were top of the line. The view from the loft and night club area was jaw dropping. I am so impressed....can't wait to go back!

The food was good (I expected better for the price) and the service was ok but the real problem came the next day when I realized the credit card I used wasn't in my possession. I called The Carvery and asked if they had it. To my relief they did. They told me I could come in and show my ID to get it. Since it was late I planned to drop by on my way out of town the next day. In my haste to beat traffic I forgot to stop by and get my card. I was an hour out by the time I realized I had forgotten. I didn't think there would be any problem since they would require ID to get the card so imagine my surprise when I found over $2100 of fraudulent charges on the card several days later. I wouldn't hold the restaurant responsible except for the fact that they said they required ID to get the card and I called to ask if they knew who had gotten hold of the card and they never called me back. How did my card get used fraudulently after they admitted having it??? I would still like to know.

Fantastic meal. I advise ordering the sandwich with prime rib dip. Great folks are employed here. Excellent service was provided. This location appears generally very clean and stylish and has comfortable seating. I returned today for lunch, and the meal was excellent.

Always a go to when we're in town to visit! The service is white tie, but the humble and caring attitudes is a homey(?) feeling and what makes it that much better. As for the food, it's SO good. The brie appetizers with extra crustini's and the ribeye is our go to! Always trust their suggestion for wine/drink pairings; it brings out the best in the food.

Every dish needed salt. There was one other table in the place and we still didn’t see our server too much. Also they mostly can just accommodate a party of 6, we have 7 and we’re crammed into a booth. The place looked cool tho.

Staff is wonderful and pleasant, but their food was garbage... we ordered 3 stakes well done with the stakes being butterfly cut to make sure it was well done. It came to us medium rare. Then, the chicken was greasy and overcooked. We had a party of 9 and only 2 people liked their food. I would never get food from them again.

Made reservations here for Valentine's Date Night. My girlfriend and I both agreed this was one of the best Valentine's Dates we had in a long time. The food quality was excellent. The Chef really out did himself, especially the Prime Rib slow roasted meal with mash potatoes and asparagus. The three course meal including an appetizer, soup/ or salad, and dessert really accentuated our taste sensations. The Manager Brian and all his staff went out of their way to make sure each and every guest had a great Valentine's experience tonight. Thank you Carvery for the great restaurant ambiance and hospitality tonight.

Just opened went for the grand opening and excited about the changes Long Beach is having in their dinning experience. Loved the atmosphere here the appetizers are really good, however their entree selection is still a work in progress I would say. I would definitely come back to get a coctail and appetizer. Also the service is on point and you can tell they are stepping up their game.

Amazing. The most inviting live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Think classy smooth jazz or a really good female guitarist and vocalist. Amazing food. Can't go wrong either at lunch or dinner. Find me sitting at the bar drinking some of their great bourbon.

Had the Wilkommen cocktail, brie crostini, and prime rib. The cocktail was amazing and strong, and the food was great. The service was good and everyone was friendly. The bathroom needed some attention though.

Service was good, if a little slow (not annoyingly slow, just... leisurely). Food was good, but like many hip steakhouses, "medium rare" was actually very rare. (But again, it still tasted good.) Decor is great. Drinks were good, but we ordered drinks that were new on the menu and were clearly the first people that the bartender had made them for. That made her super duper slow in making them and she couldn't tell us ahead of time what to expect. Get a cocktail and the halibut and head to Long Beach Creamery for dessert.
