Finally made it here after friends suggested I give them a try plus every time I drive by there’s a line formed and that’s always a plus…you know that means “Delicious Food” so today I called in my order super easy …estimated time pick up was given to me on point I asked for their spiciest salsa was told their red salsa is spicy… well our carne asada burrito was delicious it had the works carne asada, rice, bean spread plus sour cream and guacamole a bit of lettuce onions OMG simple but with just the right combination of flavors!!! I was helped during pick up by Joanna the cashier and she was super friendly I mentioned it being my first time there…she was right by saying watch you’ll return the food is great she’s been working there for a long time and that also is a plus…knowing great places to eat have employees that matter and are their for a longtime…so if you’re in this part of LBC and in mood for authentic Mexican food come try them out and if you like your food spicy definitely the Red sauce…I highly recommend it all staff wearing mask and social distancing followed outside they do have tables inside too!! Cash only… if you don’t have money there’s an ATM inside I noticed all of that plus my burrito was being kept warm for me inside a cooler which I loved..by the time we cut into the burrito it was still hot🙌💯I will return 🌻yes I cut the burrito in 3 pieces I shared it with two kiddos who devoured it..said it was so yummy they wanted more💯

It was a busy Friday. Had tree service guys work on both our front and backyard. They worked up some serious sweat pruning and cutting over ten trees on our property! Dang, watching them made us hungry! (For the record, we did some clean up too after they left) So, we were were hankering for a burrito. Husband suggested coming back to Taqueria la Mexicana. That sounds good to me. We got there and he wanted me to choose the meat. Lengua, gotta have the lengua. I like having something I cannot cook at home (one day I will try though). Burrito is stuffed with a good amount of lengua, refried pinto beans, seasoned Mexican rice, cilantro, onions. side of salsa (be sure to ask for this!) If there is a line, you may be waiting for your order. We were there around 4 pm and waited around 20 minutes for our order to be ready. That is quite OK because the lengua was absolutely the best, so tender, so well seasoned without the saltiness at all. Their blend of seasonings paired with their method of cooking resulted in the most perfect lengua. The price was $8.50 for the burrito. good price for the taste and quality. Cash ONLY so bring some paper money. If you forget, there is an ATM in the waiting area. Parking is street parking as it is in the neighborhood on 4th Street. Learn to parallel park. lol. So, do not delay, treat yourself to an awesome lengua burrito. (or the many other choices on the menu!) Buen provecho!

Great food at a great price! We had asada burritos and they did not disappoint. Parking is a bit of a problem but it’s Long Beach… only to be expected. Definitely worth it!

Taqueria La Mexicana is one of the favorite places in Long Beach to get some tasty tacos. We usually order the lengua tacos (yummy) with a orange or coca cola soda. Just like old times. They only accept cash so if you do not want to pay that crazy fee for an ATM withdrawal that they conveniently have inside make sure you do not forget to bring cash. Parking is also a little tough so you may have to walk a bit. Enjoy.

I’ve eaten here three times in two days. Best Mexican food I’ve ever had! Amazing food at reasonable prices.

I got the California burrito and a carina asado burrito. Both were dry without cilantro. I ordered the carina asado burrito with onions and cilantro only. It had neither... just a lot of rice mixed in This used to be my go to place for Mexican food for many years but now the prices are doubled and they charged $4 more for an all meat burrito. .

I have been a regular at this place for more than 20 years but it's quickly going down. It lost its appeal. The al pastor burrito I loved got smaller and the price doubled within just a couple of years. It's more expensive than ordering in the restaurant and they still take cash only!! I understand the inflation and things getting expensive but not 100% price increase that makes the product restaurant expensive. I also ordered double meat and I don't think it was double. Yesterday, I ordered it, and the kid with perfectly manicured, fingernails and painted shiny nude color who took my order to-go took it incorrectly and I left the place with the wrong burrito. I had to drive back and correct that. No apologies, no one word Just unprofessional, entitled kids running the greedy place. Totally disappointed!

Great taco Tuesday deals. Overall a good 🌮 spot which just needs a bit more cleaning and a few less flies. If I lived in this neck of the country I'm sure I would be back again.

I have been coming here since i was a young child, the best food, i live right down the street. The veggie burrito is so great, im overseas and miss it alot haha. I would go before it gets busy, or your wait time could be 30 to 40 min, because it gets soo busy during lunch time, which is not surprising from how great they are.

This is the place to get your taco on. Food was fresh as every component was perfectly seasoned, prepared, and cooked. Ordered the taco platter. The meat was flavourful with a nice kick of spiciness. I could go back again and again and again ... Need I continue?

Great place for Tacos Tortas & Burritos. I always get Carne Asada. Good spice as is. Green salsa is mild and tasty. Red is Firey gooood. Best Spot in this area of LB. Parking can get tough, it's a popular place during meal times. Call your orders in and take it home. Enjoy your meal with a few beers from your fridge.

The asada has a unique taste, it will have you coming back for more. Haven't yet tasted another location that preps there meat the same. Heads up they only accept cash, but they do have a ATM.

I have literally been going here for years And it has never disappointed. Since back on my teen years I would surf then burrito spot, work, surf again then burrito spot again. Yes I would eat here multiple times a day. I would even say at one point I was completely addicted to their California burrito what can I say. I highly recommend the spot. It can be a little bit difficult to get parking but no matter the distance you have to walk it is worth it. My boy used to also live down the street from here and those were real golden times. I mean we ate at the spot like a dozen times a week. They've made a lot of money off of us lol. Enjoy everyone! I live in Arizona now but every time I come back to Cali best believe I hit up my favorite burrito spot!

Great little Mexican food spot about two blocks from my pad. I got the combo burrito with Al pastor. It was flavorful and feeling. The salsa was good and spicy. Adding this to the list of food spots I can walk to.

Honestly I would go somewhere else. I waited 25 minutes for this burrito which was nothing special. This is not the first time I go here and they take forever. Can the cooks not make more than one order at a time?

I don't agree with all these folks that give this place 5 and 4 stars maybe rise to 3 stars at best. Food is not that great its actually pretty mediocre, but the kicker is waiting unreasonably long time for food that should be ready within 10 mins max. With the amount of people they have working there waiting is a killer. I tried this place twice just to see if it was a fluke just to not be unfair with this opinion. But waiting that long for this food is a total crime. Needless to say I'm not going back there but if you like waiting up to 45 mins for high priced mediocre supposed mexican fast food then you'll be right at home, enjoy.

The California burrito is the best. The place is a staple in the area, but the prices are slightly on the priceier side. I've been going to this place since the California burrito used to be $5 now it's $8+. Still tastes unique and absolutely delicious.

This was a Long Beach landmark. As many years Me and my mother enjoyed this place. It's lost it's zest. My friend who runs the register has gotten mean and complacent. As a business you need accept criticism. And not have an attitude like someone stole your lunch money. When my friend returned his food he was treated a homeless person begging for food. It was his first time and you did a double whammy on losing my patronizing at your business after 30 plus yrs. Sad. Sometimes businesses suffer at the expense of their sorry owners who don't know anything about kindness and respect. Instead you allowed your racist face show. Now you don't get any of my money. Word a mouth in LB is real.

I ate my bean and cheese burrito before taking a pic. Sorry! Finally made the decision to stop by this taco stand on the corner. I’m glad I did. I ordered the bean and cheese burrito and an order of chips and guacamole. There were a lot of chips. (Mine were a little stale. I think it was just the time of day.). The burrito was stuffed (required both hands) and it was on a very very good tortilla. The homemade very thin and charred kind. Yum! The menu is extensive. The service was great. It’s a cash only place, so don’t stop without it. There are a few covered sidewalk tables in the shade. Family friendly. Good food!

Still pretty damn good. Inflation has hit and long gone are the days of a $7.50 burrito but the meat plate seemed to contain the same amount of food it always has. Not the best carne asada in long beach any more but still better than 90% of other places. I do miss the smokey fatty chunks I use to find but I'll still come back again. I guess one plus of the raised prices is there's not a 20 minute line just to order any more.

They can do a better customer service. Food just not adequate prepared right. Always have to ask for napkins, lime or condiments. Atmosphere needs a touch up.
