What a delightful experience... My wife and I were headed to Roadhouse for steaks. Both of us decided to forget that and try Saltgrass Steak House - excellent decision! We were met at the door by a very friendly hostess. Our waiter Johnathan was amazing. He was very helpful, offered us suggestions that included complimentary soup or salad and yummy bread. We both ordered the Gulfcoast Steak & Shrimp. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the grilled blackened shrimp were surprisingly wonderful (as we usually order our shrimp fried). Jennifer came over to our table to check on us and Introduce herself. Both Johnathan & Jennifer took great care of us and made the entire dining experience seem cozy, comfortable & like family. We will certainly be back and see what other delightful options on the menu will greet us. My wife's birthday is in April and the Rewards Card Option I highly recommend everyone join as the benefits are outstanding. We received a 25.00 discount off our check & One of the best, delicious piece of Cheesecake ever! Bathroom clean.... Found was good workers helpful they pointed me in the right area to pick up my food to go...then I left and got half way back home decided to check my order And I had to go back because they forgot my bread and there bread is good and that butter. 🤤 Yummy. Then I went home and enjoyed my dinner with my husband and our pup.. I will return back to one of this never had eat her before...

JJ was our server and she did a wonderful job. We had fried mushrooms that were made from scratch. My steak and shrimp was perfect. Now the 6oz steak is small so if you are super hungry I would get the 8oz but we really enjoyed our experience.

Service was fantastic. Very accommodating with my food allergies. They even went so far as to modify my appetizer so that I would be able to eat it. It’s nice to know that the also make their food from scratch including the sauces. Overall I’m very pleased with my experience here. Also they have really good steaks here.

Amazing foods. The table salads are actually cut in pieces that fit on a fork and in your mouth. A little touch that is appreciated by this senior diner. We chose the Chicken Fried Steak and it’s two meals I assure you! HUGE! Ashley was our server as was as sweet as our tea! Great time, definitely be back soon.

This place serves the best food. I had the 6 oz Filet/Oscar on a bed of asparagus, with oven roasted Brussel Sprouts. And of course the Grilled Margarita!!

This was a disaster.after a long wait for the entree, the excuse was a large party preceded my order, the ordered "well done minimal pink" steak was very pink throughout with a lightly carbonized exterior. So the manager offered first to recook the steak and then to cook another. Well after another wait, 50 min since i sat down, the second steak was worse. This may have been a rare event and the manager was sincere but I will give him a few months before I return.

I had the Chicken Laredo even though the steaks are to die for here always cooked to perfection!!! This place has great quality food and the prices are reasonably priced. The service here is good, also has a bar in case you like to have a cocktail with your meal. Restaurant is well staffed and clean. The menu has so many great food options you will not be disappointed if you come. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family

I have eaten here twice upon writing this review, so the good quality of this can be determined from that statement. More specifically, I have eaten both a New York strip and porterhouse and both were given to me cooked as requested, my girlfriend however had one of her fillet mignon's being underdone in which they took back and fixed. Secondly during my first time there I ordered a topper for the steak, which did not arrive with the steak. My second time there was perfect and my service was nothing to complain about. As far as steakhouses go it is good value for the taste and quality of the beef, I recommend.

Well, unfortunately this was not a great experience. I had missed appetizer that wasn't brought out but wasn't billed so I am okay with. I ordered a 30 dollar plus steak cooked medium rare and it took 30-45 min plus to bring out. They said there was a big party so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited. My steak ended up med well by the time it was served. It was comped so I appreciate that correction. Sadly, although service was good I don't feel I will come back to this location. I do appreciate my server but consistency with food should be a focus as well.

Went in on Thanksgiving day. My son ordered ribs and they were amazing, I ordered ribeye, MW. It was MW on the outside and MR in the middle. Bummer. Server was great in the beginning, but quickly forgot about us. Still, overall, a good dinner. We will go again.

Great food, service was good until the manager took over the table then completely messed up the check as a matter of fact undercharged us. Tried to simply tell her we were undercharged and she wanted to get an attitude towards me and to cause a scene among the whole entire restaurant. Have been going here multiple times a week. Doubt I will be back.

Made online reservations for our family to celebrate 2 birthdays in our family. Specified how many people we had, how many kids and how many highchairs were needed. Also said we were celebrating 2 birthdays. We had 13 people total and only one waitress took care of us. In my opinion, there should have been 2. Had to ask for high chairs after we were seated. Waited for a while for the bread to be brought out and loaves seemed small. A few of us needed our glasses refilled and the waitress finally realized it over halfway thru the meal. Kinda disappointed in the service and no attention was apparently made to the reservation I made online. Across the street Roadhouse was super busy. Saltgrass was not and I'm beginning to see why. We've been here several times and its hit or miss with food/service. :(

I celebrated my husband's graduation and the seating and service was great the food is always good but the idea of roasted cubed potatoes as a side of fries was an epic fail they were dried out and not well seasoned other than that everything else was a success and quite satisfying; they easily accommodated a party of 16 in the regular dining area and we had a great time. I brought those potatoes home added some olive oil, salt, and pepper and remedied the dryness. Will definitely visit again. I can't remember our waiter but he was so accommodating and had Excellent customer service and was so patient ..it could have been Josh or Caleb. We all had different dishes I had some kind of Cajun creamy something that was so good...the salmon was great too my husband's steak was cooked to perfection and the children's chicken tenders were moist...my son the pickiest of eaters enjoyed his burger too. Now that potato soup was a no it needed some heavy cream to thin it out and give it a smoother texture and the tortilla soup had a chicken broth base that was kind of watery. But baby those fried mushrooms made me dance they were so good.

My family and I ate here Saturday night around 7:30 pm (a party of 20). The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The waiter and waitress were awesome. I should have written their names down because they were awesome.

Maria was outstanding! Very friendly, attentive, and full of menu knowledge. Her hospitality is top of the line! My best friend and i had a great time dining in her section tonight. Will be back! The service wasn’t service, it was dedication, and passion, to hospitality. Not to mention the visit their manager, Jared, gave us. Truly a wonderful place, when i was here? i felt like family. They really had a No Rules, Just Right vibe!

I have been a member of the Landry’s Club since 2010. I have eaten at Landry’s and Salt Grass from Galveston to Dallas, Shreveport to Beaumont. Most of the time I can brag about the quality of service and food. I ordered the the Vaquero tacos today. I know the price has to go up on everything. That is a fact of life. The two tacos I got contained very little meat. Each taco contained no more than 3 tea spoons of meat (fat). One taco had more than half the meat was just fat. The price is more than $8 per taco. You have got to do better than this. There are too many choices out there to choose from for you to provide this type of product. I love your restaurants and want to continue to frequent them. Please make changes to the quality of food. Thank you

Tonight was our first time eating here. We started out at the Texas Roadhouse(who was not willing to accommodate my handicapped mother). I'm very glad to have ended up here. The food was great!! The portions were a good size for the price. Everything was hot and fresh. The service was very quick. We got our drinks and within 5min, we had our appetizers. They brought bread to the table as well and the only complaint I have there, is that it was a bit hard and we personally, would have preferred rolls. Within 10min of getting our appetizers, our food was ready. I had a 16oz steak, medium-well and baked potato with a side of fried shrimp. The steak was great. The potato could have been better, but nothing to complain about. The shrimp were a bit spicy and the only complaint I have there is that I wish I would have known they would be spicy but otherwise it was great!! Our server was super nice and super quick with everything. The only real legit complaint I have is that it was really dark in the restaurant and we had to use our flashlights on our phones, to read the menu. 😆 They sat us without issue and were more than happy not to put us in an over populated area. Susannah (my server) was amazing. The steak was cooked perfect, and my moscow mule was the best id ever had!

The waitress was sweet and did her job well. We had 3 appetizers for a party of 5. Place was not busy at all. Our main courses came out cold and took FOREVER!. The manager should have been seeing that the food got out in a timely manner. And hot food should have been served. I wont go back there. I cook a lot and i can do better at home ,but we were out of town and wanted a good meal.

My wife had her favorite T-bone steak. I had a steak salad. Both were well prepared. Good table service. We were seated quickly and at a good location with easy access for my wife's rollator walker. Our waiter was very GOOD. He paid attention to my wife's special food allergies and her preference for how the steak should be prepared. Thanks

Rio was our server he was great being from Tn and traveling all 48 states it is usually a hit an miss with steakhouses. BUT THIS ONE HIT THE MARK AND OVER THE MARK IN EVERY WAY!! Starting with the steak itself it was marinated and cooked to perfection didn't have to send out back not once. The manager came to check on us and the drinks were not skimpy on the alcohol GREAT JOB EVERYONE if I could rate more I definitely would.

Couldn’t find anywhere to send a review in to the company or on website so I came here! Our waiter was awesome and very attentive. BUT manager With the bun was very rude to me when I asked to change the side on my order, which was not even out yet… he then told me “that’s unfortunate, the food is almost out so you can add it as a side if you want something else”

We had a bad experience overall our waitress couldn't get a thing right We ordered. She left things out we ordered and had to ask for things twice.the service was so bad we asked for another waitress. Instead the same one came back and overly watched us and proceeded to ask us every 3 minutes if everything was ok and good(like she was scared to loose her job). Which made us really uncomfortable. I'm not blaming salt grass but my experience was rather uncomfortable.

We were seated immediately and our drink order was quickly taken. We put our kids orders in first because we needed a few more minutes. Their food still came out at the same time as ours so that was pointless. Everything was great, the fried chicken was good but not seasoned at all. The steak was seasoned to perfection and cooked exactly how my husband requested. The only real complaint we had was our daughters sliders came out medium. We were not aware that is how they cook them, even for children.

Food was good, but for the price I was disappointed in the service. Two items were forgotten on our order. It seemed like the runner and the server were not getting along. The floors were messy and table clearing was slow. I know there is a staffing shortage and people are just burnt out. And we are generally patient and understanding with our service staff and tip even when service is bad. But we were celebrating and a meal for two at this place costs more than $50. It was a little hard to swallow when the runner just drops one of the missed items on the table next to my plate and says "here. I got it myself." Plates piled up on the table. My water glass was never refilled. I did love that it was served in a real glass water glass. The ambience is also very nice, like an old barn. Hubby still tipped over 20% but we will probably not be coming back. Our recent experiences at Cheddar's and Texas Roadhouse provided equivalent meals for less cost and better service. I gave 4 stars because my husband was so excited he could order a porterhouse and that was the saving grace for the trip.

Food quality seems to have declined a bit over the last year or so. The portions aren't nearly as large as they used to be. My steak was almost paper thin, tasted pretty good, but almost paper thin. The service is still above average, our server was very engaging, polite, and friendly. Still a very good place for an intimate meal with just a few people.
