Oddly, we were not greeted at the entrance as we arrived. We stood in awkward silence wondering if we were to seat ourselves. Our appetizer, the chicken fried bacon, was excellent. From that moment our experience went downhill. Both of our orders were incorrect when they arrived. My wife's unsweetened tea was refilled with sweet tea. The manager on duty was summoned by the waiter, didn't Introduce himself, and didn't seem to know what to say. My fried okra was very oily and the bowl it was served in was partially filled with oil. This was my first time here and I have to say I was extremely impressed. I'm vegetarian so I chose the vege platter. It's $9 and you get 5 fixins. The fixins include all kinds of sides. I chose a house salad (most delicious ranch I've had in awhile), loaded baked potato (minus bacon), steamed veges, Mac n cheese and tomato Basil soup. They also gave us 2 rolls when we first sat down. It's such a huge delicious amount of food. If I went to taco bell and ordered a black bean Crunchwrap Supreme and 2 bean burritos it would be about the same price and way less nutritious and flavorful. I was so full! I will definitely come back when in the area. The staff is super fast and friendly. The patrons were classy and respectful. 80s music playing lol.

Got the All you can eat fir 15.00. Only serve two things. Fish and french fries. Fries were very limp greasy fries. Fish was ok but certainly not close to the best. Oh yeah they did give me two small hush puppies. Overall i simply thought it was terrible. The waitress was very sweet and the tea was very good.

Got catfish and okra. The food is good, and our server is very nice and friendly.

Food was great. Service great. Chicken fried steak with white gravy was just right. Loaded baked potato 🥔 came out topped with crisp fresh green onions, bacon bits, cheese and sour cream. House salad was fresh with ripe tomatoes 🍅 and tasty ranch. The Dr. Pepper Chocolate Cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream did me in. David, our server did a fantastic job. Definitely will return.

Visited the restaurant today, the beginning wasn’t so pleasant, but after getting a new waitress named Stephanie, my experience was MARVELOUS!! She was kind from the moment she stepped to the table, she was energetic, and very attentive to our needs. I will definitely come back if I can get service like this!!

Had a great lunch at Cotton Patch today with some friends, loved the chicken fried chicken and potato soup! I tried the black eyed peas for the first time and once I started, couldn't put them down. The wait staff was really on top of things and me and my group had our waitress Stephenie running laps, but she was awesome and took care of us to a T!

Lots of new dishes to try! And all my wife's favorites. Thanks. 2022 Update My Wife loves this place. Took her out for her birthday dinner. She got her favorites. That was 2 years ago when we moved to Longview from Dallas. Our first meal out was HERE. Tonight I got her favourites. I am still masked. I have to stay WELL for my wife. We can't go out much these days. But her favorites still taste GOOD. Thanks Take out service is great here. Manager is good. Staff is good. Food is good. Been a rough 2 years. But we are back. Last year... I tried their NEW Supreme Salad combinations...just what I wanted. They prepare a Classic Cobb Salad and I added Grilled Chicken...and MORE vegetables. Noticed a lot of take out delivery services pickup from here. Very polite young servers.

Positive note>Hostess was very welcoming upon entering. Our waiter, bless him just looked so sad. We had a bad experience with the food from here once before but decided to give it another try. I’ll just say my preference is I would rather have food under seasoned than over seasoned. The veggies on my plate was spot on. However the Cajun shrimp over rice was so salty it didn’t get eaten. Waiter did offer for a new plate to be made. Which I declined.

My meal came by door Dash. It was lukewarm. I ordered chicken fried chicken and it was terrible! These restaurants gon have to do better in Longview! The only 2 things that were good was the broccoli rice casserole and corn. Overall it was the temp that discouraged me. I don't know what goes on after it's cooked, but I'm not too pleased with it.

Our group of eight got together Sunday evening for dinner. The service was fantastic and everyone was very pleased with their meal. I took half of mine home. I just finished it. It is even better today. I will be returning the next time I am in Longview.

We went here last week. We love this restaurant but it has gone down. They were not busy. We ordered an appetizer it came out with meal. I had a small chicken fried steak, when I got my meal my plate was full of blood. Our salad was wilted and the dressing was sour. We were never offered refills. We had to get another waitress to come look at our food. She brought out ticket and took off one meal and not the salads that were ordered separately. Very disappointed ☹️

Haven't been in years and decided to give it a try. We're pleasantly surprised how good it was. Chicken fried steak was amazing. Husband loved the fish and daughter enjoyed the chipotle chicken. We will definitely be back.

We go to Cotton Patch a lot and have always had good service and food is always good, baked potatoes are a little hard sometimes but just tell them you like a softer potato and they will fix it for you. Ali was our waitress today. Very sweet!!

Stephenie was our server today as we celebrated a birthday at the Longview location. She was very attentive and polite. The food was amazing as always. We will return soon!

Food was ok, but they didn’t add cheese on my salad they got our order wrong. They would not retake our order, and lacked employees today

I went in with my husband and 2 kids on yesterday. The food was pretty good but the place was a mess. We order our food and received it within 30 minutes which is a great time I believe for dining out. The waitress could have done a better job of making sure our cups were refilled but all in all the experience wasn’t that bad considering the amount of people that were there. It wasn’t busy. But there were a few other people dining in. The biggest thing was the cleanliness. Hire someone in just to clean if your staff can’t get to it.

Local East Texas restaurant that has grown to many other locations We Only had one problem and that was with the hostess who tried to squeeze our party of four into a tiny table. The restaurant was pretty much empty because it was during lunch. The two people before us were given a nice big giant table and the single Diner that came in just after us also got a big giant table with no problems. After this interaction and getting a normal size table to use the celebration started. Appetizers and entrees were ordered along with the drinks and everything was delicious. I wish this restaurant provided appetizer combos like all the other restaurants do but unfortunately they don't and you're forced to order each appetizer individually. So that's what we did fried pickles, fried green tomatoes and chicken fried bacon were ordered and devoured by our group. For main entrees we had grilled chicken salad, brisket quesadillas, and 2 chicken fried steak meals. Grilled chicken salad was served with balsamic vinaigrette which was absolutely amazing. Brisket quesadilla came with salsa and sour cream and with equally as amazing as chicken salad. The chicken fried steak meals were served with mashed potatoes that were out of this world delicious, green beans and side salads. These meals were also just as amazing as the other meals.

Food and service here was great. Our party was larger than we expected, but the staff made it work for us. Thank you Cotten Patch!

Had a good parking spot up close and was seated immediately in a raised booth, which is easier for me to get in/out of. We made it in time for lunch specials and enjoyed our selections. Had so much, we both took half of each meal home for a 2nd meal the next day! They had a new (not new) dessert called "Funnel Sticks," which we ordered. Felt like we were walking down the Midway of the State Fair of Texas!

My husband, two daughters, and I, went for a Saturday evening dinner. The service was really good. However, the food was mediocre, at best. My husband and I, both had chicken fried steaks,and they were OK. The sides were not very good. Neither of my daughters ate their meals. It's disgusting is the direct quote from each of them..... This may have just been an off night for them. We've been there many times on the past, and it's always been excellent....

Recently visited for lunch. I arrived before the usual rush and was well catered. The food was good but a little on the skimpy side. I was ready to leave when the noon groups arrived and had to wait close to fifteen minutes to check out because the wait staff is now responsible for handling that process also. Maybe some additional help would be in order during this time period since people are usually on a tight schedule for lunch.

When I think of real homestyle cooking, the chicken fried steak did the job...The gravey was excellent,especially recommending the jalapeno gravy..

This was my first time here. I ordered the mango grilled chicken salad. It was great however I did not expect the honey sauce it came with to be peppery (I think that is the right word). I have a sensitive mouth, so when I told our waitress Ali V, she substituted it no problem with their BLAT. Which was amazing and it definitely did not hurt my mouth as much. I felt so bad for having to send back the salad as it was definitely a decent size. She informed me it was no big deal. Definitely the best first experience at a restaurant ever. And she had the best customer service I've ever seen in the restaurant business. THANK YOU ALI!

I always order Doordash from here- I'm a AZ/Cali transplant, I have to say this is my favorite restaurant in Texas. Its good, its cheap, and I am never disappointed by trying something new. The chicken and dumplings and desserts are on point!

Ordered food to go. food was good, but my order was incomplete so I waited an extra 10 minutes for the chicken fried steak. Also, the togo person was very defensive when I asked about checking the order. I won't dock them another star but if a customer smiles and asks politely if their order matches what was received.. the natural answer is to say, let's check. You work for Cotton Patch not yourself. I shouldn't have to ask for a manager

I had the blackened tilapia and shrimp and I literally could not eat it ..it was way to fishy/dirt/ mud tasting . The steamed veggies were plain , no seasoning. The salad was good though. My daughter ordered the brisket tacos and she didn't realize a very sweet BBQ sauce would be on them, so she didn't like that at all. We had poor service. Our server was being trained and her nor her trainer gave refills we had to ask a few times for refills. I had to ask for my salad. It was 77.00 for 4 meals. Def not worth it. Will not return

Food was without flavor My son who eats anything, left food on his plate he said the Mac and Cheese was cold Best thing about the whole meal was the roll

The food was great. Our waitress was extremely attentive to us. She was Friendly so was the hostesses. The restaurant was disgusting. Every other table was filthy covered with dishes. The carpet had food all over it. There was a good amount of staff. So that didn't make sense at all. There where tables that where dirty before our eight top arrived and ate for my sisters birthday. The tables where dirty when we left. An hour and a half later. I mean three or four around us. This Longview location used to be one of the best. What has happened??
