Didn’t stay at the hotel, but had coffee and tostada. The coffee was very good, although not hot enough. The seating is comfortable and the views are excellent. The architecture inside is stunning and a real treat.

Visited here a few times and enjoy it every time. It's a lovely colonial building and you must go inside the main building to take a look around if you visit. Food is good, a little on the pricey side but worth it.

I liked the place, great location by the sea and the atmosphere is very nice. Prices are good and the food is ok, a little lower than average. Ordered the English breakfast. They are generous with the portions except the toast of which is actually quite awful. I asked for some more toast and ketchup of which I had to remind them twice and took longer to bring than the English breakfast itself. I got a miserable piece of dry toast and enjoyed it with my now cold breakfast. The staff seem tired and unmotivated, some doing more work than others. I give it a 3 ⭐ because this place is a classic and there isn't much more competition. Definitely room for improvement.

Would recommend. We didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment on the rooms. The food was excellent and the service was attentive. They do have a fixed price menu but you may need to request to see it as it wasn't offered initially. Occasionally, there are Flamenco dancers or a Mariachi band performing, which is fun.

This is a fantastic place to eat and drink. My wife and I went for dinner and to watch flamenco dancing. We had a fabulous time. The location is right opposite the beach, the service was flawless and the food fantastic. When you go somewhere to eat with entertainment can be a bit of a lottery - not here - the dancers were very professional and entertaining. Highly recommended, especially if you like flamenco!

Fantastic location by the promenade at Los Alcazares. This is a quaint hotel with some original features that have been retained. Haven't stayed at the hotel yet, but the restaurant is very good. The food is lovely with a good tapas selection. There was a strange system in operation on our last visit where you had to sit at special tables if you wanted tapas. This is probably a winter thing as it wasn't in operation when we went in the summer. It meant we had to move tables (about 10m in the same room) so we could have tapas (how bizarre!). Anyway, food was excellent, great choice and excellent service. Will definitely be back, and may stay at the hotel later in the year.

A fantastic restaurant with amazing food. The staff are incredibly friendly and very efficient. I had the veal which was the best I've ever had. Booking is a must as it is very popular.

The place is a piece of history and just stunning. Absolutely loved it. We met a couple who was staying there and they showed us their room which had amazing views. A very Romeo and Juliette courtyard, and it was very classy with some lovely waiters. We also got a guided tour of the museum, where the baths were. It's really impressive.. Will be back again and again...

A great cafe in a stunning location right on the front of the Mar Menor. Great prices. The drinks were OK but average. The service was OK but a little slow. Still worth a visit though.

Friendly staff and lovely 'oldy worldy' features and accessories in and around the hotel and bedrooms. Only thing that lost a point was the ensuite bathroom as it looked a bit tired and in need of replacing but it was still a nice addition to have an ensuite even if it wasn’t in keeping with the quaint old still bedroom. Beautiful location and really enjoyed staying there.

Happened across this hotel whilst on a day out along the marmenor. It has been a hotel since around the early 1900. Very quirky, beautiful central courtyard and very old fashioned dining room. Busy sunny terrace looking over the marmenor. Will definitely be booking a couple of nights in the spring,it's dog friendly so will take our dog.

Went for lunch. Absolutely amazing experience. Service was great. Dining was over the top. They kept bringing food. Thought we were done, then the servers told us they still have to bring out the main course. I went with the Bream, excellent choice. Then came the dessert…wow. If you have a chance please try it. Excellent lo location. Highly recommend it.

Wonderful building on the sea front with an amazing open courtyard, birds singing in the evening. The staff were also fantastic, helping us with our terrible Spanish after such a long time away. The food was also cooked to perfection. I will definitely be going back again. Simply wonderful.

Built 1904 and not to be missed. Rooms old fashioned comfort plus mod cons. Excellent restaurant. Serviceshould be 10*. 70 euros including breakfast for two. If you visit go and see the thermal baths.(now not used. Also the courtyard is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a beer on a hot day.

Beautiful setting and good atmosphere. Staff and service was very good. Having eaten here a few years ago, I would have to say the food was better then and also having paid a similar amount for meals in other restaurants what we had was a bit overpriced.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel last week. It is amazing. It has such charm. The inner courtyard is so pretty. We sat and had our breakfast there everyday. The little birds that live in the courtyard are a dream. They fly down and around you and I couldn't help but give them a few bits of my toast. They was adorable. It was so lovely. The rooms are old fashioned but that is to be expected as the hotel is really old and the rooms are charming. I have to comment on the cleanliness of the rooms. Everyday they was cleaned , the bed made , the coffee/tea etc stocked up. The rooms were spotless. The food at the hotel aswell was so good. We loved the potato bravas!! The hotel setting is stunning with it being so close to the beach. What more could you want. Fantastic beautiful, clean seafront hotel with such charm and lovely staff. Will defiantly be returning sometime.

With how famous this place is in the area its amazing how bad the service is. The food isn't a whole lot better. 3.75 for 3 small churros con chocolate. We waited over 30minutes for a coffee at midday. This is Easter Bank Holiday weekend, yes it is busy, but 30minutes for a simple white coffee is absurd. The English breakfast is 2 eggs, baked beans and spanish ham fried with a half of fried toast. There are much better options in the area. But if you just want a coffee and toast then sure go here. But expect a wait.

Already had some drinks there before and today I thought I’d try some tapas. Although there was a whole army of waiters running around dressing the tables, I had to ask for my glas of wine 3 times before it arrived long after the tapas did. Result: 1 hot tapa was cold and 1 cold tapa was warm. To finish the experience they charged me 2 wines in stead of 1. Also, quite expensive according to Spanish prices: I paid 16,75€ for 2 tapas, a glass of wine and half a liter of water

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ La Encarnación beachside restaurant exceeded all expectations! The food was simply amazing, with a diverse menu that catered to all tastes. Every dish was prepared with precision and bursting with flavor. But what truly sets this place apart are the breathtaking views. Dining by the beachside provided an unforgettable backdrop to an already incredible meal. Highly recommend for an unforgettable dining experience!

Fabulous gem of a hotel and restaurant. A step back in time to 1904, with original features and a simply amazing courtyard. A modern, comfortable seating area outside to enjoy the happy hour. Look forward to spending more time here. Nice staff

Go for dinner and the flamenco show on a Sunday evening. Show starts at about 7:30. To be honest it is a tad pricey but the food is delicious and the show is just wonderful... Enjoy

I went there because it had Beefeater tents and adverts around to suggest the meals will have a decent amount of beef menu. Got there only to realise there was more fish based menu than beef. Quite disappointed. I should have just gone to the kebab shop. However, night life does seem like quite an experience with all the open umbrellas and sea breeze.

Really enjoyed our meal at La Encarnacion, the food was very good. Highly recommend the Octopus and Calamari to start, then the Sea Bass in salt and Paella as a main. Only minor thing, the dishes were all large, we really didn't need starters as well, kids meals were the same size as adult portions, wasteful imo as my 6 and 7 year olds only managed less than half of the dish.

We attended for dinner and we’re impressed by the location and ambience of the restaurant. There was a classical concert in the building and the music added to the atmosphere. The menu was a bit of a challenge in terms of what the food was actually going to be like when it arrived. We therefore opted for relatively safe options and were delighted with the quality of the food. The real selling point for this restaurant is the seafront location and the quality feel.

I haven’t stayed here so I can’t comment on the rooms but everything else about the place, the food, the service, the price, location and the restaurant and building itself is just fabulous. Had a really great long lunch here. The waitress gave us great advice on certain dishes and some wine! Perfect!!! 👌🏼

Fantastic, authentic and well kept fin de siecle bath hotel situated right on the beach. Restaurant with patio and long hour breakfast. A luscious courtyard with plants and birds chirping away. Don’t expect top modern facilities, but that’s the whole point of the place. Original and independent hotels are so much more fun!

There are no words to describe this amazing gem in Los Alcazares. Even if you are not staying here you really must venture into the courtyard for a meal & drink you will not be disappointed. The food is spectacular - try the Gourmet Salad as a starter dish...we always visit this location when in the area.

It’s easy to see why Spain has some of the best restaurants in world, when you see the range of foods on offer in ordinary restaurants. The sheer range of tapas and salads is stomach achingly good. Washed with a good Rioja and watching a mesmerising performance of a flamenco 💃🏽 dancer, the stomach, heart and head become giddy with delight. Staff are just great

Hotel of views and history Over the years, I have visited Hotel La Encarnación for drinks, however this year we decided to stay for a few nights. The location is perfect being a few feet from the beach, which provides wonderful views. The menu provided a good variety of food with a choice to eat the the courtyard surrounded by the singing of birds or on the veranda overlooking the sea. The rooms are quirky with the basic necessities. However, no a/c . The hotels atmosphere is relaxed, with charming staff who are attentive to guests needs. Silvia our regular waitress was especially helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Absolutely incredible. I would give a sixth star if I could. Starting from the venue itself, the location, decoration and maintenance is just perfect. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Then, the food is awesome; there were so many options that sounded delicious. We ordered couple of entrees to share, and then two mains, but I would love to come back to try others cause everything we tried was just perfect; everything cooked to the perfection. Very tasty, all dishes were quite large, and served realisability quick. The price, although it is not a cheap restaurant, I personally don’t find it extremely expensive considering the service, quality and size of dishes. If you are around, I highly recommend you to try this place.

On Saturday 17th September I booked a table on the terrace. This was the first time we have been able to have dinner since the Cov-id outbreak. Oh what a disgusting meal, the starter was a whole squid in black ink, this is not what I wanted and this was not explained when ordering. The main meal, well what can be said, my wife had duck salad, it was sent back to the kitchen in disgust, I would not feed this salad to animals on a farm, my meal was fillet steak, cooked rare to medium, it came cooked well done, awfull. This the last time we will be eating at the restaurant, and will not be recomending to anyone. What should have been a enjoyable evening was ruined by a very bad meal and obviously a very bad chief and waiting staff who cannot explain the menu properly. D M Eccles.
