Always a delight to come across an indie book store while traveling, especially a children’s one.

I've been coming here for years, but yesterday was publishing day for Kelly Yang and my partner and I felt that this was the most fun we've had at a small event since COVID. The staff were absolutely amazing!! (and so was Kelly Yang!)

This is our favorite book store, suitable for both kids and teenagers.

Great neighborhood book store. Definitely a nice feel, with a carefully curated selection of quality books, especially for kids and adults who love good character driven novels. Great for finding thoughtful gifts. We came in to hear an author speak, and it was a great experience. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy parking. The way neighborhood shopping should be.

This is a splendid store, and popular, as there were lots of customers and activity while I was shopping there. The store sports a unique and large collection of children's books (and a smaller but thoughtful collection of books for grownups too). The staff was super friendly and patient, and the owners are uniquely passionate folks. From the street, it's the best looking store in the whole downtown! Kids and their parents will find this to be a great place to actually experience books before buying them, something lost in the online experience. Linden Tree Books is a real treasure.

I love this bookstore! A real treasure in a time when physical bookstores are rapidly disappearing. The kids and I found a couple of really interesting books on evolution and we also found a couple of fiction books. It's a local store and a place I turn to if I want to browse and buy. They also order books that they don't have in stock and you can pick up from the store.

Our kids love the outdoor story time every Sunday at 10:30am.

Linden Tree Children's Books is a fantastic book store. They have books for children of all ages. Books of all sorts. My granddaughter is 10 months old and she gets very excited when we go into the store! They have books ranging from wildlife, cartoon learning, race, gender, science, exploration, and many other things I can't enumerate. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. I would invite anyone of any age to take a look around. You will either find something for yourself or something to give away to someone special.

A unique destination, very special for the community in Los Altos.. Amazing for children’s book.

Besides the lady being a little obnoxious my kids love coming here so I got them gift card so they can pick out books on their own.

Beautiful bookstore. I was there to get an autographed copy of a book by Karen Obuhanych called This Little Kitty. She's a champion in my book!

A huge reason why I love visiting downtown Los Altos! Wide selection of books and cute displays for children. 🙌 to this independently owned bookstore!

Our favorite place in downtown Los Altos. They have also a story time Sundays at 10am which my daughter loves. Next to it there’s Manresa Bread where you can have fresh bread and coffee while you’re sitting outside. Can’t get any better!
