Fantastic operation!! I met Cole to purchase a baby zebra mantis. I found him just by searching mantis breeders in the area, and there was a local news article that highlighted his business. I really respect the passion and drive he has for entomology, and it was so refreshing and wholesome to meet a fellow mantis lover. My mantis was L3 or so when I first got her, and she is now three molts in and beautiful! This is probably the most fun hobby I’ve found and I’m grateful to Cole for providing me with such a healthy pet.

Matis Universe, has the best mantis options on the market. I search before buying. Both Cole and Jessica were fantastic when I had issues with USPS delivery. Stayed in contact through the whole process and luckily both mantis were alive still when they arrived late( to no fault of mantis Universe). Had such a WONDERFUL experience with Cole and Jessica! I ordered a ghost mantis and choose to pick it up, as it was a birthday present for an 11 year old. Even though I made the purchase at night, I got an immediate response. Jessica was very accommodating and she met me on a Wednesday morning so I could avoid traffic. She was so informative regarding how to care for the mantis and it was wonderful learning how her son started his business. Will definitely purchase again from Mantis Universe!

Cole and Jessica were so helpful in giving me information about my ghost mantis prior to sending him/her to me (still can't figure out the gender, but it's a cutie!). The care that was taken in sending the mantis to me was also wonderful. I live all the way on the other side of the country, but they were able to ship the mantis from California to Brooklyn within two days. The heat pack they put in the package was still warm, and the mantis did not seem stressed at all. Mantalorian (as we're calling it) is doing great and eating fruit flies at the moment. I can't wait to see how the mantis grows in the next few months!

I am brand new to mantids and my friend recommended mantis universe to me. The shipping for overnight was not nearly as bad as I expected, they arrived fast and packaged extremely well. The cups they arrive in are sanded on the sides and the top is like mesh, very thought out and you can tell they really care about what they do! Their customer service was also awesome, all my questions were answered and they even sent links for feeders (also just super friendly in general, not just like a robot sounding person). Got my mantis in December for research and I've honestly become head over heels towards my mantis. They are SO interesting! I can just observe them for hours! I had someone personally reach out to me about how cold it was going to be during shipment and gave me several options about my order, including the option to have my package held at my local post office so my baby wouldn't die out there. They followed up with detailed instructions for care for those who need it and even reached out again when my package got to the post office to let me know it was there! Mantis arrived alive and well, if not a little shell shocked (as they tend to be). Was well packaged to protect against the elements on its journey. I had a VERY odd request and Mantis Universe really came through and saved the day. My dad is a Biologist hobbyist and his favorite bug is a praying mantis. He brought one home from work one day and named him Scout. He bought him a cage and took care of him everyday and sat outside in the backyard with him. He would say things like how excited he was to watch this thing grow. I took the job of taking care of Scout while my dad was away on vacation, but on day 1 there was a terrible accident. Scout became cat food for the resident kitten. I was so sad for my dad and hadn't told him yet. He rarely gets that sentimental about things, so I thought maybe there's a slim chance I can replace Scout without him noticing. I reached out to every pet store, gardener, nursery, etc. and all were dead ends. I was eventually told to reach out to Mantis Universe since they can supply mantises to schools and are local. They answered right away and within 48-hrs my dad's mantis was "restored". I can't tell you how grateful I am that you all saved me from breaking my dad's heart. :) Edit: I'd also like to add that you guys didn't just come through, but you really went above and beyond. It was a weekend and I know you were busy but you still made the time to make this transaction happen for me. There is a level of care and customer service here that is just top notch.

We found Mantis Universe through our local library in San Francisco. The librarians had a great experience working with them. My son greatly enjoyed the two little ghost mantis so far. They arrived in great condition and were easy to settle in our home, mostly my son’s bedroom.
