I've been here several times and cannot recommended it enough. Everything is tasty, the ambiance is gorgeous, and the location is great. The lunch menu prices are wonderful, but only available on the patio. To get these gorgeous and delicious cocktails, I prefer to dine inside. It is abundantly clear that great care has been taken with every ingredient, dish selection, and presentation. I took my omnivore friend and they loved it. They said that they wouldn't have been able to tell it's plant-based. Vegan sushi is having a revolution and Niku Nashi is leading the way.

Niku Nashi elevates plant-based sushi to a stellar culinary level! The house sauces with Sriracha on the rolls are delicious ‘as is’- didn’t even need to add my soy sauce and wasabi. Don’t miss the rolls with No-Crab- Niku Nashi cut rolls and No-Crab hand roll. 🍽️ Excellent 5-star service! Very classy, clean decor, & fun ambiance with a DJ (music is slightly loud). 🍹A special botanical bar APB operates in the restaurant. Sundays are dry days with non-alcoholic libations. The Apple drink was a little too sweet. ♻️ Cloth napkins and ceramic ramekins are a plus. Bring your own (or forego plastic) straws. 🅿️ Street parking

It's worth to try awesome vegan Japanese dishes. Not just sushi. The Japanese fried chicken made of mushrooms is so yummy, crispy and flavorful, so you don't really think that it's made of mushrooms and it's not something more processed. The most favorite is for us the dragon roll, the cheese was amazing, the eggplant, avocado, and all the flavors composed together... really nice. The other sushi we got was Barbie sushi which tastes really refreshing and the pink soy paper is just so cute! I am a lover of burdock root, because it's so strong taste and so strong root with many health benefits, so to me this was a must try and it was delicious. The vegan caviar and all the other ingredients so precisely detailed and put together deserve a big culinary effort, so there is no question that it's all worth. Thank you for great dinner experience.

The best vegan sushi in LA. The vibe is spot on and everything was five stars. So excited to have this place in LA.

This is a really cool place. The sushi is amazingly good and you can’t even tell it’s vegan. We ordered the dragon roll, the niku nashi roll, and the hot summer roll. Each one was perfect! The seating is a little different. There’s no indoor area so the server has to constantly come out to serve you. Which is not terrible, but left alone too long, it would be easy to dine and dash. I would recommend having someone out there more often. The drinks are available only at night at the bar next to them.

Really solid vegan sushi options. Atmosphere is a little interesting given that it has a French feel and they play hip hop music while eating sushi. Definitely will come back!

Great experience! We came here on a Tuesday night and there was a DJ and the vibes were nice. The food was great, but we are used to a bottle of sake vs the little sippy cup of sake that they gave us in a mini glass so just a heads up. The other cocktails we got were great and definitely Instagram worthy if you're into that kind of thing. The tacos are a must and we enjoyed the pink lady roll more than the citrus roll!

Niku Nashi is in a class of its own. It's some of the best vegan sushi I've ever had. The pink lady roll and Niku nashi roll were my favorite rolls, and were complex and exploding with flavor. The gyoza and ceviche tacos were also must haves. Sunday is a dry bar day, and their mocktails are insanely good. This place is reasonably priced and the inside vibes make it a really enjoyable experience. Will definitely be going back regularly.

The food and drinks here are some of the best I’ve had in a while! The kitchen staff members were awesome, and the vibe seemed pretty chill. The wait staff, however, was snarky, sarcastic, and generally unprofessional. They mocked some of our menu choices, and defended the ill-behavior of our seemingly intoxicated server. Icing on the cake was being rushed out the door because they needed our tables for bottle service. 5 stars for the kitchen and PHENOMENAL food, 1 star for the rest of the staff. **Updated review to 4 stars after returning: service has greatly improved, though we went on a Monday early in the evening. The food remains excellent, and I can only hope that APB keeps up with the staffing choices.

Honestly one the best restaurants for great planted based food, supportive staff, and amazing vibes (+ good cocktails/mocktails). My partner is vegan and used to love sushi, so for her birthday Niku Nashi helped me do that with nice seats, special bday rolls, and specialty cocktails! The bill was affordable and well worth it! Highly recommend. I wish I posted this review much earlier but I got caught up in work and only remembered now months later.

This place is seriously amazing. I've been a few times since its grand opening and the food literally keeps getting better and better. Last night was no exception. We got the niku nashi roll (which is a must-try & my favorite) and the crispy spicy tuna too (should also make sure to try) and then a shrimp tempura roll which was my boyfriends favorite. The drinks are amazing too—we ordered the Bruce Banner pitcher which had a really cute presentation and was deliiiiiiicious. The wait staff are above and beyond friendly as are the owners who always make people feel welcome. They gave everyone in the restaurant and bar free sake shots just because and did it with a smile. Also there are plants EVERYWHERE which adds to the gorgeous aesthetic of the place. It's super cute and clean and I hope it stays around for a very long time!

We got the Gyoza, Niku Nashi Roll and Chef Special Roll - all were amazing and the service was fast. Highly recommend for a new, vegan sushi spot.

This place was amazing !! Food was incredible, and service was 10/10—food came out super fast and our waitress was amazing at recommending options and checking in on us. However we went at lunch time when only the outside is open. You're best to go for dinner so you can enjoy the inside.

everything was extremely delicious! A super creative menu and fun dining experience! Came here for a birthday dinner and it was perfect. The atmosphere is wonderful - the staff are friendly - and the food of course is some of the best vegan sushi I’ve ever had. The konjac fish tastes and looks so much like fish. The vegan cheesecake (we had the matcha) is also a must.

AMAZING. The workers were all great and seemed to enjoy working here. Alex went above and beyond. The decor and overall vibes were really good and chill. The sushi and drinks were yummy and the matcha cheesecake (that was given to us for free because of a birthday) was INCREDIBLE. We will definitely be back and we will definitely eat more of this cake. It was insane.

I was staying at a hotel a couple miles away and my dinner plans fell through, so I went looking for something I could get delivered without having to get my car out of valet. I got a half order of udon, the Philadelphia Maki, and the No Shrimp Tempura Maki. I loved everything but the Philadelphia Maki was out of this world. The smoked carrot "salmon" combined with the cream cheese was perfection. Everything was so flavorful and artfully crafted. This is hands down the best vegan sushi I've ever had. I also really appreciated that my food was delivered in boxes instead of plastic containers. I bet it is even better when served/ plated fresh in the restaurant. Niku Nashi will be first on my list of vegan restaurants to eat at next time I am in Los Angeles!

Hands down the best vegan sushi I’ve ever had. The food is great, the service is great, the design and interior decor are great. They even have some patio seating if you love to bring your dog (or adventure cat) when you dine out. We went for my birthday and got the sushi boat for a huge sushi platter. A feast for a royal family! I went with vegan friends and omnivore friends and everyone absolutely loved it! Also you absolutely must get the vegan cheesecake. I think the flavor rotates but on this visit we had matcha cheesecake and it was one of the most amazing cheesecakes. They partnered with East Side Cheesecakes for the cashew base but they make the cakes in house and it was to die for! Also personal recs for the individual sushi rolls are the Niku Nashi roll, the citrus roll and the dragon roll. But everything I’ve had there was so delicious I feel like you can’t go wrong. Don’t forget to stop by the APB bar inside for some of the best cocktails in town!
