If
there
is
a
word
to
describe
this
place,
it's
an
institution.
Walking
into
the
restaurant
felt
like
walking
into
a
place
stuck
in
time.
And
it
was
good
that
we
came
around
10
in
the
morning,
so
we
got
seated
right
away.
As
we
came
out
around
noon,
there
was
a
small
line
of
hungry
customers
waiting
for
seats
outside
the
door.
Our
server
Frank
helped
us
pick
the
food,
and
he
did
it
well.
The
world-famous
number
19,
pastrami
with
Swiss
cheese
and
coleslaw,
was
a
solid
pick.
The
pastrami
was
very
flavourful,
generous
in
portion,
and
contrasted
well
with
the
cool
coleslaw.
I
also
ordered
pastrami
and
chopped
liver
sandwich.
The
liver
added
a
new
and
interesting
texture
to
the
sandwich,
and
would
entice
liver
lovers.
The
pastrami
chilli
cheese
fries
came
highly
recommended,
but
to
be
honest,
we
found
it
quite
passable
of
not
for
the
tender
morsels
of
the
pastrami
on
the
top.
We
found
that
one
order
of
sandwich,
which
came
in
two
halves,
may
be
enough
for
two
people,
if
they're
not
too
hungry.
Keep
that
in
mind
when
you
are
ordering
food
for
the
table.
I'm
not
a
big
sandwich
connoisseur,
but
I
think
this
restaurant
will
be
a
place
worth
revisiting
whenever
I'm
in
LA.
