Overall, with this price, I was expecting a better quality. We spent a total of $850 for 6 people. Unlikely to visit again. Service was great, very friendly servers. The style and vibe of the restaurant was really good, very fancy. (guess that's where I had too much expectation when walking in) However, the entrees were very average to me. The sea bass/salmon I had: the tomato sauce is a very basic kind of tomato sauce, I can't taste the chef's effort. It did not surprise me at all. So did the salmon. Portion was way too small for an adult to feel full. Desserts were better, they look amazing and taste great. Nothing to complain. Loved the 2 cakes in the pictures (sorry I can't recall what they'er called).

The food here looks incredible! Every dish arrived at my table looking spectacular. To start, I had an off menu octopus special and the hamachi. The octopus was one of the best I've ever had, not slimy or chewy at all. It was grilled to perfection with a beautiful char and exquisite flavor. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal. Alongside it I had the fish which was light and fresh in a tasty jalepeno ponzu sauce. For main courses I had the duck breast and lamb chop.  The dishes looked fantastic, especially the lamb chop. However, these were extremely small portions. The lamb was all of four bites and the duck was four small slices, not to mention dry as well. I was definitely wanting for more with the main courses. The sides however made up for the tiny protein servings. I had the crispy potatoes and the "Hen of the wild," a plate of oyster mushrooms. The potatoes were the star of the dinner. They were a hit - hot, crispy on the outside, soft inside and bursting with flavor. They were soooooo good. The mushrooms were also really tasty. For dessert, I had the funnel cake with berries and sherbet. The flavors were good, but the funnel cake was a little oily for me. Overall, the dinner was good. If you're really hungry, I'd say go somewhere else. Craft is definitely more of a quality over quantity kind of place.

Great service and ambiance. I am not a steak person, but I figured Tom's restaurant would be a good place to try wagyu, and I'm SO GLAD I ordered it. I ordered it medium and it was perfect. I expected things to be more pricey (on Google it's listed as "$$$$" but it's incredibly reasonable. Servers were attentive it was a great experience and dinner. Try the carrots too! My wife enjoyed the chicken.

I have known about Craft for many years and have seen every season of Top Chef and would consider myself a Tom Colicchio fan so I was very excited to try Craft for dinner last night. I am happy to say it did not disappoint! The interior is truly beautiful and open. The well known architectural firm Bentel & Bentel did a wonderful job with the design. Parking is extremely easy and available underneath the restaurant with free validated parking. They also have valet right in front but the self parking entrance is literally right next to the valet stand. They have a large seating area inside, as well as a beautiful outdoor seating area. Last night we chose to eat inside since it was our first time, but next time we will opt for an outside table. For my starter I chose the Beet Salad and it was delicious. A wonderful taste of Spring in the Summer. For my entrée I chose the Soft Shell Crab because soft shell has been one of my favorite dishes since I was a child and it continues to be. The hot sauce with it made for a perfect level of spice and it would be something I would happily order again. I highly recommend to anyone for any occasion. I work a block away so the area is very convenient for me but it is also centrally located for anyone visiting LA as well.

What an absolutely incredible Experience! Start to finish food and service was on point. I actually had a minor world-shattering moment in my first Bite of steak, sent tingles through my jaw, absolutely divine. Mr Rigsby the chef knows how to impress and Jason my server was an absolute legend. Can't wait to go back

The waiter was really helpful and super friendly, the rest of the staff was on top of making sure we had everything needed like water and clean plates. We had the ribs super tasty and the melt in your mouth. We also had the chicken but it was a bit basic and no other side with it. The mashed potatoes are to die for but they need to give you a bigger portion because I could eat a mountain. My favorite part is the dessert I had the strawberry danish and the chocolate bar both super tasty! With a latte or coffee that they brew fresh and tasted fantastic! Over all wonderful! Kinda on the expensive side, it’s more of a fancy date kinda place.

Craft Los Angeles has always been a very good experience! Fantastic food and service. A big, uncluttered dinning room. Some places you feel cramped and in the dark (Beverly hills Mastr*s) but not here! Craft made my celebration special...again

It was a Wednesday evening, late at night, when my parents and I stumbled upon this enchanting eatery tucked away in a sleepy neighborhood. Owned by none other than Tom Colicchio, the culinary mastermind behind Top Chef, my inner professional chef and devoted fan were bursting with anticipation. The adventure commenced with a warm, aromatic gougere paired with our $3-per-person bread, which though a tad pricey, was a sign of a sophisticated gastronomic experience. The avocado salad, rich and creamy, dazzled our taste buds with the unexpected crunch and flavor of spiced peanuts. Sharing a delightful trinity of mains - wagyu pasta, Chilean Seabass, and a side of earthy hen of the woods mushrooms - we were enraptured by the flavors before us. However, an initial hiccup with the undercooked Seabass left us puzzled. Though the staff graciously tried to remedy the situation, we still found it tough to cut, despite its mouthwatering taste. Thankfully, management's gracious gesture of comping the dish left us appreciative of their care. The ambience was a symphony of soft, dim lights and a hushed, intimate atmosphere, all while being serenaded by the picturesque scenery outside. While the service was impeccable, the food - although delicious - didn't quite align with the premium price we paid. That said, this late-night discovery remains a captivating experience for any Top Chef fan seeking an unexpected culinary adventure.

OVERRATED, PRETENTIOUS, and DISAPPOINTING! Food quality is not up to par. Food cooking style has technical errors. Food is unbalanced in tastes. Service is very slow and inattentive. Ambience doesn’t exist. Cold and lifeless ambience. Parking is a Nightmare!!!!

Literally cannot say enough about how great the food and experience is at Craft. Every person that we encountered during our time at Craft was so kind and genuinely seemed happy that we were there. The food was also top notch. Definitely recommend the waygu! The pork belly appetizer was also phenomenal, as well as the lamb entree. If you are looking for a great dining experience I couldn’t recommend Craft enough!

Overall, I had hoped for a higher quality for this price. For six people, we spent $850 in total. Not likely to return. Very friendly servers provided excellent service. The restaurant had a really nice, upscale look and feel. However, I found the entrees to be fairly average (guess that's where I went into the restaurant with too high of expectations). The tomato sauce on the sea bass or salmon I had was very basic; I couldn't taste the chef's effort. I was not at all surprised by it. The salmon also did. For an adult to feel satisfied, the portion was far too small. Desserts were better; they tasted great and looked amazing. Nothing to be upset about. I'm sorry, but I loved the two cakes in the photos.

That I couldn't get enough of that taste. Staff were really nice and friendly and their service lived up to my expectations. I would really like to visit this place again.

  • 4/5 Manish B. 1 year ago on Google
The service was first rate, including accommodating us without a reservation. The food was fancy and good, but I'd say not the most memorable. The preparations were generous. The wines were very pricey even for LA ($80 for three). The dessert menu was not that special either. There's valet parking. Definitely a special occasion place. Fancy but generic fancy and thus a bit immemorable.

Really surprised that this place was not packed on a Saturday night. The ambience is excellent. The restaurant is tucked away in a corporate setting near the mall. The bread plate to start is highly recommended. They had some vegetarian options, such as the gnocchi and the black garlic fettuccine, both which were solid. A bit pricey, but certainly fits the decor.

This restaurant was amazing and captivating! Aside from that, the dishes and beverages I ordered were all wonderful and satisfying. And the lady who took my order was friendly, inviting, and helpful. I rested for an hour after finishing my meal and realized that this restaurant was trendy and fun to frequent. The most popular restaurant in my town. I stumbled onto this wonderful location by chance and consider myself really fortunate to have chosen it for my birthday party. Their personnel are competent plus hygienic. They look fabulous in their uniforms. They did a fantastic service! In contrast to most, there are no hidden costs. Thank you very much to anyone! Thank you so much!

3.5 - Vibe is great. Service is stellar. Food is really just okay… if you are just looking for a nice place for a date night and don’t care that much about food itself, then it’s right for you. Otherwise, there are other places with better food taste :)

Took my fiancé to this restaurant for her birthday, sad to say I was disappointed. The restaurant offers free parking validation in Los Angeles for their restaurant which is a major positive. You are able to park in the parking structure, the problem is the labeling is bad. You need to park and take the elevators on the correct side, or you end up In Another tower. I was able to navigate with my fiancé to the restaurant location. The staff was nice and courteous. The waiter was attentive and professional. The food took a long time, and it was very lack luster. My fiancé had the pork chops and I had the quail. While the pork chops were flavored well, the pork chops were undercooked and bloody. The quail while, small, had a good aesthetic to the plate. That’s where the pleasantness ended. The quail was very under-flavored and the polenta was plain. They should have at-least served it with a bit of sauce to keep the dish interesting instead of un-flavorful. While the restaurant excelled In ambiance, it lacked in food quality. Sadly, that is why you go to a restaurant. I do not recommend, receive a better dinner or meal for your money somewhere else.
