This review is for both the fish market and the restaurant. Went on a weekday right before noon on a beautiful weekday. There’s plenty of parking spaces and a close walking distance to the location. All the restaurants next door were open, and the whale watching and boat cruises were opened. The fish market sells both live and fresh seafood. If you enjoy dining on fresh seafood on the spot, you can purchase wild Dungeness crabs and lobsters and have the staff steam them for you! They also carry fresh oysters sold by the dozen. Plenty of fish, but expect to pay above your local supermarket rate. Everyone usually selects for the world-famous shrimp tray when they visit and this meal size is no joke. Depending on their size and hunger level, the two-person shrimp tray portion might feed three to four people. We opted for the simple combo and chips plates, including fried shrimps, fish, calamari, coleslaw, French fries, and two dipping sauces. It wasn’t bad and the outdoor sitting watching the boats pass by, the scent of the ocean, and everyone enjoying their meals and alcohol made this a positive 5-star experience.

Yes there is a line. Yes you will wait 45 minutes to 1 hour in front. Then wait 45 minutes for drinks and 30 minutes to 1 hour for food after ordering which takes 20+ minutes. Come with multiple people have a plan. Someone order food which easily can be $200-300 for a 3-4 person feeding, someone grab a table and someone get in line for the drinks. Great quality seafood however 2-3 times the price. Forgot to give us our bread but we were able to get it upon returning to the counter. Plan to spend your money and your time. Lots of it...

Outdoor food trucks next to the Harbor and conveniently on 15 minutes from The Long Beach Terminal. The fish is very fresh and so is the ceviche but the latter lacks flavor. Fish and chips, ceviche, garlic bread and two margaritas came to $70. Parking was about $5 Easy and quick to order from QC codes on the table and they bring the food to you.

I'll make this quick and simple as we all have no time for an autobiographical review 🤘 What to expect: Parking can be confusing so follow the signs carefully. Having said that, finding a spot is not a problem ✅ You must get there by at least 9:30am. If you can get there by 9:15am, it's perfect ✅ If you come later, it'll be packed. 5-7 people - get the super tray. ✅ 8-12 people get the king's feast ✅ A couple should be okay with the world's famous shrimp tray ✅ See pictures to kinda get a feel of what's inside and outside. Enjoy! 😎

I watched a video about this place thinking the experience would be like the one in the video. As a reviewer I should have checked Yelp /Google reviews first right? Wrong I did not! I was too excited to check it out. The video showcased a fish market where you chose and pick out all the seafood you want in plain sight then they cook it for you. That’s not how it was. My experience was, you go in, you see a bunch of tables, find a place to sit, order via QR code by phone. That’s the entire experience. It was disappointing, because the video really hyped me up to get the experience but the food was still good. The price can hike up as you add on to your platter. The presentation wasn’t as good either but that’s what we had to work with. The good thing about the place is the parking fee was not bad at all. So we that was cool. I was told they were renovating to make like the old fish market again. But, I don’t know…I probably won’t come back here again unless it changes to something better.

Came on November 28,2021 Came for a visit on Sunday after the Warriors and Clippers game around 4:30 Pm. Crowded was an understatement, don't get me wrong I know this place is always busy but god dam was it packed. My Husband went to grab a table and I went to select a whole fish for him. The Line to choose your own fish is long. It wraps around the Ice bed of fish to the other side. I waited for more than 20 plus minutes for it to move and me be closer to the front of the register. The only issue with this is the Line to choose your own fish its really only for the uncooked fish and other seafood items at the other counter. We had to get in the other line which took another 20 plus minutes to get to the front just to get the platter with the shrimp and veggies. So much waiting just to order food then course we had to wait even more time to even receive our food. Since it was my husbands first time I figured he would enjoy it. He enjoyed his whole fried fish more. But the food was good, was it amazing? No but decent. The Garlic Bread was cold and not crispy, shrimp were overcooked and definitely needed lemon and hot sauce to taste good. Lets be honest its more of the experience coming here and eating then actually thinking your coming for the quality of food.

I been wanting to come here since 2019. I was bummed out that their old location was closed. They just reopened yesterday so they have lots of areas to improve. I will be honest. Bathrooms are really nice, clean and handicap accessible. There was lots of workers who were not very well trained about the menu or what they were selling( drink prices or customer service). Definitely needs improvement in explaining what comes in the meal. I would recommend a menu with pictures to make it easier to order food and a faster production. Beer is very expensive , the big bottles that probably fit about a pitcher or less costs about $55. A pitcher is $35 depending what beer you get. No wine or champagne will be sold. They will eventually have 5 cocktail drinks available but not sure when. Unfortunately and surprisingly food did not have much flavor. I had to add lots of pepper and salt to my meal. Shrimp was cooked good. Their hot sauce that they give is not spicy at all. Luckily I had just purchased hot sauce before coming and tried my best to flavor up the food. Bring your own hot sauce. I would recommend them to give samples of their bottles hot sauce or have them on the table so if people like them, than they will buy them. I wouldn’t purchase a bottle if I had no idea of what it tasted like. The garlic bread was very good. I had to order more of it and it definitely helped me finish my meal. I wish I would of been to their old location which I heard the view was nice. The workers are nice. Some just need to be trained better in their departments.

Visited with my in-laws. Bought the King's Feast ($352) and we thoroughly enjoyed every bit! Also ordered the raw oysters and king crab legs. My hubby rates the oysters 12/10! The mariachi played and sang so well it sounded like they ate a CD. The views were beautiful. Definitely will be returning!

Came out on a nice sunny Thursday! The wait lines are pretty long, took us about 30 minutes just to order our food. Definitely fresh seafood served all over the place! However my only issue is the bunch of birds that will bug you if you don’t give them a piece of your food. Other than that experience was nice while eating and looking into the harbor!

This is the place for all your seafood cravings! There are 2 spots, one is the restaurant and the other is the fish market. The restaurant serves platters and various dishes. But I go for the market, you pick your own seafood, veggies and sauces and the cook it up for you in a giant platter! BOMB.COM Outdoor seating with a bar, sometimes there karaoke and live music. I highly recommend this place.

Took a minute to get the lay of the land, but we finally found a vendor to purchase from. We ordered and got our food, sat down and ate. The food was great! For $20.00 we each ate really well. Do yourself a favor and come down here and get a shrimp combo. You’ll be glad you did!

I was disappointed with the food and options. Everything was ordered outside so I never got to see it cooked. I thought that I was at a fish market, and so did others in line. People made reservations thinking that they were at the fish Market as well. I took an Uber from LAX to San Pedro, paid extra, extra for crab leg cluster, extra for corn. Drink was $5.99 and bottle of water $4.99. I was sooo disappointed.

I have been going to San Pedro Fish Market since I was a little boy with my mom. It's our favorite and must go to whenever we visit LA and area. Food is always great, always fresh, always a great experience. This last time it seemed like they'll be doing a full remodel soon since they moved down 200 yards away from the building location and the building is closed off with fencing and had workers near the building. Still glad that the food was delicious as always and we beat the long waiting line they usually have.

Just arrived from Florida for a cruise and needed something to eat. Had good reviews and was in walking distance from the hotel. It’s not where google maps says it is but enough sign’s guiding you to it. The food was great and filling. They even had a band playing. Staff were helpful. All outside dining by the way and right on the water.

It was my first time here and I liked it a lot. I had tilapia with vegetables and garlic bread. The fish was really good but next time I won’t have it deep fried. You have to pay $2.50 for the side lemon, $3.25 for the hot sauce, $9 for the vegetables, $6 for garlic bread. The fish and vegetable tray is good for 2 to 3 people depending on how much you like fish! Very friendly environment. Drinks are a little pricey but taste good. I’ll be back for sure!

They have moved to a temp spot. Parking seems free, there's a sign that says pay for parking but it didn't work. I asked around and iyhete didn't pay for parking either. There's a qr code on the table, scan that and order your food. Food took about 25 mins to arrive. They won't let you bring alcohol in. There's a port-a- loo outside but a nicer trailer toilet on the inside. They also have a claw machine and some tides for kids. With the shade of the umbrellas , it's not too bad. They had some musicians walking around that was nice for the atmosphere Food was underwhelming. Scallops which we added were the small baby scallops, wish we knew that before ordering. I wouldn't order the shrimp tray again.

The food is amazing the environment is great and so is the beer. It was my first time being here and I had a great experience here. The line to order your food might be really long and a little slow but trust me it’s worth the wait! 10/10 service, food and drinks. I’ll be back for sure! 😋

I use to like it here, but when they had more variety of spots to eat. This particular spot Shrimps didn’t have that original spicy 🌶 garlic flavor. So not happy, potatoes were half cooked. The drinks are good 👍🏼 I love it here because my dad brought us since we were little. Now is just memories. I do love the churros stand outside delicious 😋

This was my first visit to the San Pedro Fish Market and it was such a vibe! The outside seating was Oceanfront with a cute little walkway. The menu had some fire choices which I ended up getting Whitefish that was fry perfectly, white fish Ceviche with avocado and small chunks of pineapple which I had never had before that were off of the chain and grilled scallops and shrimp and being a seafood lover I love me some grilled shrimp and the scallops were so delish good job will be back soon kisses!

They were currently going through a major renovation and set up an outdoor food area to eat with a smaller menu. The food and portion sizes were really good. I had a tray for a single person and could only eat half of it.

Delicious fresh seafood! I had the shrimp tacos and they were delicious and very filling. We also ordered several trays of food and everything in them were delicious. The crab legs were exceptionally good and sweet! It was great that you scan a code and order through your phone we didn't have to wait very long for out food to be brought straight out to our table. The views of the shipping are also really awesome. The outdoor seating was very nice a large and open allowed for some larger groups to easily be sat together. With it being outside it can get a little chilly if the weather changes or the wind picks up. Highly recommend for fresh seafood.

Have been coming here with family and friends for 35+ years. Finally going to review it as their 65 year lease is up and will be changing its location. I've had some great memories at this place. I remember walking through the old port village next to this restaurant as a kid and was lucky enough to do the same with my kids before the city tore everything down. Thank you San Pedro fish market, for all the good times I've had, coming over here to eat and making new memories each occasion. This location shall be missed.

Good times. Good food. Good people. It was a fun and vibrant place to have a seat and eat seafood by the ocean. Recommend this place. The food are overpriced but the experience makes it all worth it. Definitely bring a jacket because it can get windy. Come and try this place, a lot of people come to San Pedro just to eat here from out of state.
