This is not a great representation of a Ritz Carlton property. We chose this property for our anniversary and were disappointed. We encountered rude people at the front desk. We experienced some questionable housekeeping decisions. We've stayed at many Ritz Carlton properties around the world and this was far from being our best experience—in fact, it was our worst. I've stayed at the JW Marriott in the same building on multiple occasions and found that service to be far more attentive and thorough. We were truly disappointed with this experience. Not the ideal way to spend our anniversary. One positive was that the valets were great! They were very friendly, as were those tending the doors. We did meet one of the managers on the elevator. He was also very pleasant. But unfortunately, these experiences were few and far between.

Worst Ritz-Carlton I have stayed at. Staff was racist and very up tight as if treating guest are not part of the name. Just because the Ritz-Carlton has a reputation doesn't mean they always hold up to it. Never staying there again the location in Rancho Mirage is far more respectful and helpful.

The hotel is in a good location and the rooms are very well equipped. The entrance is a bit strange, the reception is very small and unexpected, but the staff is very professional and friendly. Cleanliness is at a high level. Breakfast is served in the neighboring hotel, which is connected by a short corridor. A special attraction is the swimming pool on the roof, which provides all the conditions for relaxation. It is possible to order drinks even after working hours. The view from the pool is 360 degrees and indescribable. The hotel is highly recommended.

Sadly, this particular hotel failed us in every way a hotel can fail its guests. The front desk failed to respond timely to simple requests from start to finish. Examples include the cleaning staff inadvertently threw away valuable possessions after posting a "do not disturb" sign on the door, failing to bring additional pillows and bedding for my 8 year old son, failing to provide turn down service when asked and then providing it was specially not asked. The list goes on an on. After this experience, the hotel did not even offer a simple apology. For those reading this, I own 9 restaurants in San Francisco including one in a Viceroy Hotel. This experience was as bad as I have experienced and I will not be returning to this property again. I wish others a better experience.

The Ritz Los Angeles has been our second home since my now 16-year-old daughter was 5 years old. Throughout the years we have seen employees come and go. Our most recent stay was on September 2, 2023. We were greeted by Mr. Nikko Fernandez and a female co-worker at the front desk. Nikko took really good care of us! His ability to anticipate our needs and preferences is unmatched! We had a few issues during check-in. He was extremely patient and attentive! The young lady (Nikko's co-worker) provided champagne to during this brief ordeal. She was very gracious and hospitable! Throughout our stay Nikko checked on us and even sent a bottle of our favorite champagne with a handwritten letter! Nikko is an excellent representation of the RC brand. He is a walking personal concierge! We look forward to staying at the RC again very soon! This review would not be complete if I did not mention our longtime friends Darius and David! They continue to make our stay pleasant! Because of all these folks my wife and I will also favor the RC LA over other competitors!

We stayed here while there for KCON. Beautiful facility, luxury rooms, spectacular views, close to Crypto and the staff was amazing! We upgraded to lounge access and it was every bit worthwhile. It allowed an extra space for lounging, food and beverages, meeting new friends, tv surfing and more (7am-10pm)! Loved it and highly recommend pampering yourself. You only live once.

We were excited to stay at this Ritz in LA as it had the club level experience open. We were frustrated initially as it would not accept our our club level upgrade certificates and therefore we were charged a very expensive room rate but as it was a special weekend we went ahead and paid. The rooms were modern and quite nice. Nothing special was done for our visit yet the money gouging was in full force. As we were visiting our son we had him come over to the hotel and after a swim he came into the club lounge with us on the Friday. He did not eat or drink in the lounge but upon discharge I was charged $172 for his visit. I made 3 calls to the LA Ritz and was directed to the accounting office each time. Even after being on hold once for 2 hours no one answered or called back. Terrible customer service by both the club level staff for not informing us of the charge and the front desk for not answering my concerns. I am considered a lifetime titanium level elite member. I would hate to see what service is for less loyal Marriott members.

I used the spa at this location and will absolutely be going back as often as I can afford to! Sheila was friendly, professional, and kind and the rest of the staff were just as amazing. It honestly felt like entering into another world from the busy and. dirty streets of DTLA.

Poor at best Ritz Carlton, bad representation of a Ritz property. I would not recommend lodging or dining here. The food is comparable to Buffalo Wild Wings. Marriott should rebrand this to a Residence Inn, Courtyard or similar. Hopefully they revamp this to truly represent a Ritz property.

The general manager emailed me a week before our stay. Check one! He emailed me again two days before asking what they could do to make our stay special. Check two! Once we checked in, we were upgraded to a suite which made our anniversary special. Every single team member’s service level was exemplary! Every staff member asked what they could do additionally. From the beginning to the end, this was the best hotel stay we’ve ever had. And this is the best Ritz Carlton stay we’ve had! Five stars isn’t high enough. By the way, I rarely write reviews. JUST AWESOME!

I booked this hotel through American Express and I will have to say, my experience has no words. The level of professionalism and service was absolutely incredible. When I first arrived, I accidentally went to the JW Marriott but was easily able to have the valet transfer my car and have the bell hop transfer my luggage to the correct location. At first I encountered a small issue with not receiving the correct confirmation code which took some background work to resolve, and did not receive the correct room at first but after those minor issues were resolved my experience was truly peaceful. Every need that I had whether it was in room dining, or asking for some ice, the concierge service was EXTREMELY polite and helpful. Daniel the bell hop gave me a tour of my room, and also brought a gift from the guest services supervisor which I thought was a wonderful gesture of a “welcome to the hotel.” The hotel is AMAZING and I would ALWAYS recommend staying at this hotel at least once in your lifetime to truly enjoy the experience. It’s well worth it. In total I should’ve spent $1200 for my stay but the cost was covered through AMEX points, but it was all worth it. 100/100 would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! :)

Horrible experience. I was checking in and I was told my room would be ready from 6-7pm. The front desk kept apologizing without offering any solutions. This is not what you except at a Ritz Carlton. Switched to a Four Seasons right away.

Looooove! Nice, comfortable room + perfect bathroom. I love the tv in the mirror In the bathroom, made the time pass by while pressing my hair, lol. The Ritz Carlton is attached to the JW Marriott so two hotels in one. I love that there's a complimentary wine tasted, bowling, yoga + other perks while staying. Ready to stay again when I'm in LA. Help others with another review

We were upgraded to a huge suite (1200 sq ft) for free. Service was impeccable (turndown, champagne, etc). Really, the best hotel of the trip. I have nothing to say negative except of course they nickel and dime you like all expensive hotels do. ($30 "destination fee" gets you popcorn at the Regal across the street and a few other meaningless things. $49 parking) Skip their restaurants because there are great ones far better/less expensive within a few blocks.

My two week stay was perfect. The hotel was clean and beautiful. The club level offerings were outstanding - the food was tasty and offered throughout the day. The staff that I interacted with were always pleasant and greeted me by name. Some staff members truly stood out (Aurora, Darius, Kim, Cameron, Nikko, Patricia, Nathan & Abba) and gave me some of the best customer service experiences that I have ever had.

Outstanding 20th anniversary at the Ritz Carlton! The entire team was incredibly responsive and genuinely committed to making our stay special. Nathan, in particular, went above and beyond, making our day truly unforgettable with his attention to detail. Eager to return. 5 stars!

Staff were very nice. AC doesn't cool as well as we would have liked. Went to use the robe and noticed it was dirty/stained on the inside. Mentioned to the front desk both issues and that the dirty robe was on the floor could they replace, when we came back they didn't replace the robe only took it away.

Le Petit Chef was wonderful! The experience was amazing and fun! The food was actually pretty good as well. The whole thing was timed and executed with excellent precision and the waitstaff was superb and very attentive. Definitely worth the $$$$ rating on OpenTable. I thoroughly enjoyed this and definitely recommend you go before it leaves and moves on to a new location in a new city!

Awful Experience. My son got food pointing at restaurant SAVOCA which is joined to the RC. Manager Ivan Camacho was supposed to give me a $100 credit but never did. Had to call hotel multiple times to try to get the credit onto my statement which they still have not issued to me. Having to call multiple times and re explain multiple times. Room bathroom mirror had a burned out light. Hotel told me I was getting 5 hours of charging for my Tesla and they never charged the car although I inquired and asked no less that 6 times about getting the car charged. The restaurant Sendero - although amazing did not actually have the type of steak that we both wanted - they told us they only had one and we would have to split it and order something else. Disappointing and frustrating considering how much time I had to spend following up on these issues. I did not actually ASK for any credits. These were offered to me by staff.

The lounge and rooms here are great! Staff are ready to assist in any way, and the food & drinks provided at the lounge are a nice way to start or end the day. The view and location is always nice, and I’m happy to visit with family.

So I have mixed reviews about staying here. Everything was fine. Service was fine, the hotel very clean. Minus the nail in our room that wasn’t removed for 2 days. It’s close to everything you would need; for LA it’s 20 minutes in an Uber to almost any place. However; being attached to the Marriott, everything happens at the Marriott. Drinks, breakfast and your Uber won’t be able to find you unless you’re at the Marriott. Love the location as your right beside the arena, convention center and numerous restaurants. So the hotel is fine, but you could also just stay at the Marriott.

REVIEW WAS DELETED AND I WILL KEEP REPOSTING!!! BEWARE OF FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS!! This Ritz is inferior to Ritz in other states besides the location, nothing exceptional about this place. Some of the staff are pleasant while others are the complete opposite but overall the staff is okay at best. The restaurants on the 24th floor were by far the worse experience from staff to food. Female bartenders are rude, slow with drinks, and if you're a pretty woman be prepared for the condescending (jealousy) attitude. The males will ignore you until 1 of them "decides" to service you. Aviod the food as a few people including myself became ill afterwards. I was offered a credit but have no desire to use it. The restaurant on the ground floor is better but it's on the Marriot side, so the ambiance doesn't have that upscale vibe I prefer when I stay at the Ritz. The Marriot and Ritz being conjoined brings the experience/quality down. I was on the Marriot side for food/drinks the majority of the time and was only at the "Ritz" for my room. So don't even bother booking the Ritz unless you have points/discounts as the Marriot is a better price option and there's nothing at the Ritz that makes it worth it to pay more when there's a cheaper alternative literally in the same space. However as for me, I won't be booking with the Bonvoy chain ever again.

The Ritz Carlton in Los Angeles, where I stayed in late April, offered a luxurious urban retreat. Located in the vibrant heart of the city, the hotel provides easy access to LA's renowned attractions steps away from Crypto Arena formerly known as the Staple Center. The rooms offered panoramic views of the cityscape, and the rooftop pool was a serene escape from the urban bustle. The hotel's dining options were a highlight, featuring innovative cuisine and elegant settings.

We had a great stay even though we were only there for one night. We had flown into town in the afternoon from Dallas to watch the Rangers play the Angels in Anaheim, so we left pretty much right after we checked in. The Guest Relations Coordinator, Nathan, e-mailed us in advance to find out when we were arriving, if we were celebrating any special occasions, and if we needed anything special. We did let him know we'd probably be arriving a tad before check-in and would leave our bags and that we were celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary. When we got to the hotel, we were greeted right away and by a very polite gentleman at the front desk (I wish I could remember his name). They actually did have our room ready early, which was a great treat as we could get ready in our room to head to the ballgame. We were also delighted to find out that we'd been upgraded, which from what I understand, is a rare occurrence at this hotel. I am a platinum member and lifetime silver, but I was still surprised. The room was on one of the top floors, accessible only by a separate elevator, and it had an extra office area which came in very handy the next morning when my husband had some zoom calls to make. When we got back from the game, we saw that the 24th floor lounge was open when we got off of the elevator and went to have a drink. The lounge had incredible views and the drinks were tasty. We were surprised there weren't more people in there, but it was around 9:30 at that time. When we went back to the room, we found that Nathan had delivered a bottle of champagne and strawberries, not to mention a very sweet hand-written card congratulating us. It was a fine touch and again, unexpected. The extra touches at the hotel, such as slippers, two robes, straightening iron, TV in the bathroom mirror, turndown service, etc - all very much appreciated and will likely encourage us to stay at finer hotels such as this one in the future. All-in-all, it was a great stay, and we very much appreciated the personal care shown to us while we were there.

This hotel is located near my place. This is my go-to hotel for many years already. It has very nice surroundings and very well designs architecture place that you will be amazed. It's really a very big place that you will appreciate the food, and it's the class of the hotel. A very big and spacious parking lots where the security guards standing-by ready to assist you to park your car. It was all perfect for me. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed in an executive king corner room with club lounge access. The room itself was perfect and super spacious. Everyone in the club lounge was amazing - especially Patricia! One star off because we found dirty women's underwear hiding under our shoe rack. Kind of off-putting to find that when we are paying so much for the room.

My wife and I come here every time we come to this coffee shop. They have good coffee and cake. The staff here are all very friendly and dog friendly, which is always a bonus. We were here every day for five days straight on our holiday! I will surely come back after this pandemic ends and recommend the place to my friends.

The service from the moment we walked in was impeccable. Front desk, valet, bar, restaurant, room service, literally every interaction I had with staff was positive and welcoming. I could tell the housekeeping staff paid very close attention to detail. They came by in the morning and in the evening, which was great for us as we mostly slept in and then went out in the afternoon/evening/night and would still come back to a fresh spotless room. The room itself (which I got as part of a flight package on Priceline) was beautiful, had very high end finishes, a huge bathtub, and a great view of downtown and the staples center from the 26th floor. The pool is stunning. Overall just an amazing stay. Will definitely return.

The stay was decent, employees were nice, BUT…..only 3 star hotel. First we were bumped from our booked room which was for a high floor, corner view room, because they “don’t have that room available” AND we were down graded!?! Ridiculous! We were given a $100 room credit for the inconvenience, which brings me to the 2nd reason for poor rating….We had to eat breakfast at the JW Marriott (the two hotels are connected) because the RC restaurant is closed, the breakfast buffet at the JW was horrible ($70 for 2 people) thank goodness for the room credit! 3rd reason; it was connect to the JW and if we would have known this we would’ve booked the JW at the lower price because that’s what we got lower quality stay. The pool area was a disaster. Cushions were in a pile, no where to sit and relax with your morning coffee. Thank goodness it was a one night stay!

My stay in here was second to none. The staff was incredible, friendly, and helpful all day long! They've got an amazing location too which can't be beaten for sightseeing in this part of town. The room I booked online before arriving came with a complimentary breakfast buffet that had something new each morning.

This experience was top-notch from the day before arriving until the last moment at checkout. The staff and their level of service was impeccable. My friends and I have stayed all over the world and this by far was the best hotel experience ever! I would be remiss if I did not mention the staff members that provided excellent service. Mariana gets the VIP award for this hotel. She reached out the night before my arrival to welcome me with a warm and thoughtful email. Upon arrival, I met Victor at the front desk and the checkin process was perfect. He was kind and helpful and provided me with useful information while visiting the city. Next, the Club Lounge staff was one of a kind. Shout out to Emad and Cameron for making custom cocktails and sharing ideas about things to do while in town. From the room cleaning professionals to the guest services management and staff, I highly recommend this hotel! You won’t regret it! My friends and I will be back very soon!

Fantastic 2-day stay here! Really enjoyed the popping of the bubbly when checking in. The room service was fresh and tasty even when ordered late. Pool was really nice, the bar up there made one of the best mojitos I've ever had! Loved it, will be back soon!!

I rarely take the time to comment on my experience, but when I meet a special group of people that leave a lasting impression, it's the least I can do to recognize their excellence. My colleague and I from OC were in downtown LA for a conference; we stumbled upon Sendero at the Ritz Carlton in the JW Marriott downtown Los Angeles. I mention them both as I want leadership from both to recognize them. The first night we encountered Maddox and Manny. Both of them were very professional and engaging. They reviewed the cocktail menu and provided a brief layout of the property. Once they knew we were there for drinks, they quickly anticipated our needs and explained their specialty cocktails. We enjoyed the great presentation on the Palo Santo cocktail. The presentation of the beverage and the attitude of the people is what make the experience. I have personally been in the hospitality industry and have worked at some of the best hotels in the US, ranging from the Montage Beverly Hills, Encore, Aria Sky Suites, and the Fairmont Grand Del Mar. These properties are all known for their Forbes services which I am accustomed to. We had such a great time the first night with Maddox and Manny that we returned the next night. The next night we met Desiree, Alonzo, and the manager, Dan. It was with the utmost pleasure that they exuded the service level from the night before. We came to find out that Maddox was on break the second night but was delighted to see her come by while we were there. This group of staff members created a memorable experience that I will never forget. They made me feel special and ran the bar seamlessly. All the patrons were happy, as were we, and I will be sure to tell anyone traveling to downtown LA to go by and experience the fantastic staff. This experience again proves that it's about the people, not the place. The team of Maddox, Manny, Desiree, Alonzo, and Dan has left an impression on me that I will never forget. I will always be sure to stop by the bar and grab a drink with the hopes I get to see them again. Thank you for the unforgettable experience, and keep on elevating the guest experience. Best Regards, Kamron Naderkhani

Great location! The Front Desk staff was excellent Malad and Hephram was awesome so was Danny! I would highly recommend this hotel. I'm a Titanium Elite member and was able to get an upgrade to the Executive Suite which was amazing especially the views at night. Patricia did a great job setting up our car and dinner reservations. TOP Knotch treatment from beginning to end. Ask for Jessie to help with departure! My home away from home!

Excellent room, fast room service. Very quiet for a busy weekend. Thick walls. Beds are very soft as is the pillows. Tub in bathroom was best part of the room tbh.

A bit underwhelming for the Ritz! Service was unbeatable and the pool was absolutely stunning with views of the Hollywood sign. I’ve had similar experiences at Westin hotels and I guess I was expecting a bit more. Would definitely return though!

Absolutely my fav Ritz Carlton! Fabulous from checkin until you get to the room! We stayed in the 23rd floor and room was so chic and very modern which I prefer over the traditional Al decor of the Ritz Carlton. We ran into Floyd Mayweather also on our way to an even downstairs.

I love the Ritz, I stay at many of them, but this was truly disappointing. Parked there for a Laker game, brought friends from out of town and apparently you can’t eat there unless you’re staying and the valet is 3rd party. Staff was extremely rude and stuffy and we had to pay for our valet after we were turned away from the restaurant.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ .ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your stay. This website will compare countless booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the most well known in the area. I've been coming here for years. If you stay for a few nights you won't be disappointed. Everything was Amazing. SARAH who checked us in was invaluable on a birthday weekend. Amazing. We will probably only stay here now. Pool...service...views exceptional.

Love this downtown LA located, quite amazing customer service. I always go for ritz due to how private they are and welcoming to everyone. Usually this is my go-to stay in place when I visit LA. Valet parking only. They are sharing with JW next door.
