Stayed
at
the
Dunes
Inn
for
five
nights;
was
pleasantly
surprised
by
it
-
especially
at
this
price
point
compared
to
other
Hollywood-adjacent
motels.
The
cleaning
staff
do
a
great
job
in
keeping
the
place
neat
and
tidy;
there's
ample
free
parking
out
front,
and
the
rooms
are
spacious
enough
with
decent,
well-kept
bathrooms.
The
lack
of
a
kettle
or
any
kind
of
coffee-making
facilities
in
the
room
is
a
bit
of
a
letdown,
but
there's
a
Starbucks
two
minutes
away
so
it's
not
a
huge
inconvenience.
The
location
is
fine
-
there's
some
sketchy
characters
lingering
around
nearby,
but
they'll
likely
leave
you
alone
if
you
do
likewise.
There's
a
Target
and
a
Walgreens
down
the
street
for
essentials,
plus
a
few
fast
food
options
in
the
immediate
vicinity.
Griffith
Park
is
a
short
walk
away,
making
a
brisk
hike
up
to
the
observatory
a
breeze.
There's
a
metro
station
around
7
minutes
walk
(if
you're
compelled
to
take
the
subway
for
some
strange
reason),
and
buses
are
pretty
frequent
too
if
you're
relying
on
LA's
public
transit
to
get
around.
For
drivers,
it's
located
right
near
the
101,
which
is
convenient
if
you're
heading
further
afield.
Had
a
perfectly
pleasant
stay
here.
It's
not
particularly
glamorous
and
loaded
with
luxury,
but
if
you
need
a
base
to
explore
Hollywood
and
beyond,
it's
great
value
and
should
tick
all
your
required
boxes.
