Hey. Really great place to stay when discovering the LA and California by both public transport and car. 8 minute walk to metro and 2 minutes to the bus. Big car park onside for those with the car. Rooms cleaned daily with the fresh bedding. Reception staff and security super nice and polite. Many take aways, coffee shop, and even supermarket next to the hotel. Overall great experience . Thanks!

Booking was made for 6 adults, in 3 rooms, Two queen beds in each room. Upon arrival from Australia, when checking in the check in staff told me there was only one bed in each room. I produced paperwork for the booking which openly stated that there was meant to be 2 beds in each room, yet he refused to provide these rooms unless i paid an extra $120USD. Absolute Scam. I have previously stayed here before and it was fine. Will never be staying here again.

We give this place a 5* rating overall, because the service was 5* at reception. Rooms were clean but if you have someone making loud noises, you'll def. Hear it. It is a good hotel for some nights, if you want to explore LA. WiFi is good.

We chose the hotel based on the availability of parking at the hotel, proximity to Hollywood Boulevard and reasonable cost. And everything coincided! We asked for a quiet room and they provided it to us. The area around the hotel is quiet, despite the fact that there is a highway nearby, and there are no homeless people. Solid recommendations!

Clean rooms. Staff is friendly and helped with our Handicap needs with a ground floor. Next door to a 7-11. Restaurants are in walking distance and close about 9 or 10 pm. Not too far from Hollywood Blvd. We took an Uber to get to the Walk of Fame and all the attractions. $7 and took about 5 mins or so.

It was a good experience. The rooms are nice, just a bit small. The parking is OK, the service is good, worth a mention to the cleaning staff, they are great.

Good, comfortable rooms. Good base for Hollywood and Griffith Park. Friendly staff TV and fridge in the room, Starbucks a few minutes along the road as well as a Target department store handy for snacks. Ten minutes walk to nearest metro station and 40 - 50 minutes walk to main Hollywood area (Hollywood and Highland).

Stayed at the Dunes Inn for five nights; was pleasantly surprised by it - especially at this price point compared to other Hollywood-adjacent motels. The cleaning staff do a great job in keeping the place neat and tidy; there's ample free parking out front, and the rooms are spacious enough with decent, well-kept bathrooms. The lack of a kettle or any kind of coffee-making facilities in the room is a bit of a letdown, but there's a Starbucks two minutes away so it's not a huge inconvenience. The location is fine - there's some sketchy characters lingering around nearby, but they'll likely leave you alone if you do likewise. There's a Target and a Walgreens down the street for essentials, plus a few fast food options in the immediate vicinity. Griffith Park is a short walk away, making a brisk hike up to the observatory a breeze. There's a metro station around 7 minutes walk (if you're compelled to take the subway for some strange reason), and buses are pretty frequent too if you're relying on LA's public transit to get around. For drivers, it's located right near the 101, which is convenient if you're heading further afield. Had a perfectly pleasant stay here. It's not particularly glamorous and loaded with luxury, but if you need a base to explore Hollywood and beyond, it's great value and should tick all your required boxes.

Fair value for money. Good location. Close to Hollywood Blvd. No breakfast options. Rooms are basic and somewhat dated but clean and everything works. Fridge and AC in the room. Friendly staff.

I love this hotel, it is so clean and the people are so friendly. It is a simple and warm place, perfect to rest and spend your vacation days. The room smells delicious. Good prices, and there are many things to eat and buy nearby. I recommend it! Thank you all. I’m going come back!

Location it’s 5, clean and cozy. Very comfortable beds and nice water pressure at the showers. Free parking it’s a strong bonus. Parking in LA sits expensive and tricky. Price affordable. Staff was professional but they mess with our reservation a little bit, noting that cause any discomfort for us but definitely unnecessarily.

Clean reasonable price good location and the staff was nice. I Detucted 1 star 🌟 because it was a little noise at night, and they were just starting to clean our room when we checked in, so ( lack of communication going on there). I don't know if the noise problem was their fault, but it sounded like something was clicking. Maybe a malfunction of the Air Conditioner 🤔 because it was extra hot 🔥 in the room at night 🌙 🤔.

Good location in east Hollywood. Rooms are basic, but clean. Free parking and wifi. If you stay there, go visit Leo's Tacos Truck 100m down sunset blvd. (east)

Clean, no-frills motel in a super convenient location in Hollywood. The building is well maintained and parking is easy. The room I stayed in has no microwave or iron, and NO LAMPS! Plenty of terrible overhead light (including a blinding one right above the bed), but I found it odd that there were no beside lamps. Would recommend staying here if you just need a place to lay your head.

I do like how cozy and comfy the rooms are. I really like the respect to my privacy given by the Dunes staff. I just wish they had a bigger parking lot. Granted its location is surrounded by the motel on all sides but after midnight forget trying to find one unless you have a handicap placard. Parking on Sunset is the only option. Plus I dont trust LA drivers not to hit any car parked on Sunset.

100 CC for incidentals. Stepped out to get a bite found someone looking in my window. Employer reserved weekly it’s a place to stay there is no microwave, the restaurant has been closed the year i stayed. Wild people all around

Clean rooms, comfortable bed, quiet and pleasant. Easy parking. Much better accommodations than any of the other hotels in the area for the price. Courteous and helpful staff. 5☆'s

Nice motel right on Sunset Blvd. Parking lot on site with lots of spots. We arrived at 8pm and got a spot. Rooms are nice and they are clean but doors are super close to each other.

It's OK for the price..beds clean and shower clean and comfortable..only bad point carpets need washing. Bring slippers for walking inside. Or your feet will be dirty

Clean enough and although the location was convenient, it was so rough that we were forced to carry our passports everywhere with us as there was no safe within our room, although there was onsite security. Clean towels and bed made daily which was appreciated. Fridge in our room but would have been handy to have coffee and tea facilities in the room. Adequate parking, on a first come first served basis. Wouldn’t dare go out at night but it was cheap and cheerful. Wouldn’t dream of visiting here without a car. To summarise, clean and fit for purpose, just wrong location and could do with some additional facilities. Would be handy if the tv’s were updated so visitors can log in Netflix or at least do TV casting. Staff pleasant.

I've been 2 nights in this motel during my stay in Los Angeles. The room was spacious and clean: I'm not particularly demanding when it comes to accomodations so that's enough for me. There's a 7eleven very close and that is very handy for someone like me who was on a road trip.

We stayed in the dunes inn for 3 nights as part of our road trip around route 66, Pros: the rooms were big, clean and comfortable, the hotel staff were super friendly and welcoming (like all of the people in America!), the location is perfect with lots of shops & food places within walking distance and great parking with lots of spaces (and it’s free!). Cons: the air con is super dated and very noisy! I am a light sleeper which didn’t help but I did not sleep a full night whilst staying here! (Which was fine we only stayed 3 nights) however if we were staying longer I think I would have to change hotels. The tv does not have cable and isn’t very reliable (again we weren’t here long so it didn’t matter too much). The neighbourhood is a little rough we however did not encounter any issues with the locals! There is a super friendly security guard on site ( I did not see him at nighttime though) people could easily wonder in off the streets and would be straight at your motel door which scared me a little. All in all though I would stay again if I am passing through LA again.

Me and my family stayed for nine nights and are very satisfied! Simple, but clean, friendly and nice! Easy with parking and close to a lot of things to do and see. We walked around a lot and felt safe!

Very old hotel, small room but very clean. Cleaning staff not friendly. Sits between a 7-11 store and She'll gas station. Restaurant on site not opened

Nice LA style motel. Staff was really good, I forgot my glasses in the room, and they took care of shipping them back to my home.

Great location, rooms were clean and spacious. Amenities were standard, bathroom/shower was clean and pretty much new. Huge plus is being close to restaurants, scooters, the Walk of Fame/TCL theater, and more. Private parking is a plus. Prices were very fair, we had an overall comfortable stay!

Good stay, clean motel. Parking is available. Street noises can be heard throughout the night but apart from the occasional yelling outside it is as quiet as it gets for a motel.

SUPER clean! SUPER friendly staff. Room was cozy, quiet, and clean. Walking distance to food & shopping. Very happy with decision to stay here and would definitely recommend and stay again. Fair and moderate price. Felt safe and had no issues with parking.

This is the worst experience I had. The person who works at the lobby doesn't care what his company does. The hotel told me I could get a room at noon. When I showed up at 11:30 the guy at the lobby told me "check-in is at 2pm". I show him the message from the hotel telling me I could get a room at noon and he says "I didn't write that". I tried to explain that it didn't matter who wrote it, I have a wedding at 2pm and I need the room early to shower and prepare. He kept saying there was nothing he could do. I asked him to check if rooms were cleaned and he says "they'll let me know". Refused to do anything to fix the problem and canceled my reservation, leaving homeless 1.5h before the wedding.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff were amazing! They were very warm and welcoming. My stay was very quiet and relaxing. When we come back next year, we’ll definitely be staying here again! Plus, it’s less than two blocks away from Hollywood Blvd! That was a huge plus, especially being from out of town.

What's a dump in a good location? This motel. No good can come out of staying here, especially at their rates. If you're gonna spend this much money than might as well just go further down the road to one of the other hundreds of cheap motels in the area, you can actually find good options.

I really liked this hotel. My room was fairly priced, had a bathtub, desk, tv stand, and table with 2 chairs. Walkable to walk of fame etc on sunset. Target right across the street. The TV channels stink sorta but still giving 5 stars. Cesar at the front desk was so friendly and kind to us at check in, and check out. Thanks for letting me use the scissors man! Would stay here again 100%.
