This place is POPPING. Tons of different options of food. All great good. You can find a HUGE variety of foods, really. I don't know if I can explain it in words. Just come check this place out, it's tasty. There are some cheap options and some real expensive options. There are some dessert places, some breakfast, but mainly it's lunch and dinner food.

An indoor mall of great street food! An excellent place to visit if the goal is to try different food and beverage varieties across cuisines. Many shops were closed even though google hours indicated they were open, so the best bet would be to visit during morning hours or close to lunch. Some seating is available for those who wish to eat there, taking in the busy street food ambience! Best suited for groups with varying culinary preferences, won’t need to make multiple stops!

Vibrant market with mainly food and beverage stalls. There are a few stalls selling other things like jewellery and chilis. Lots of seating all around and a variety of good options to choose from. It is quite touristy and can get busy during meal hours. Would recommend visiting and grabbing some food from multiple stores to share among one another.

I went to China Cafe, and the seafood wonton soup was so delicious. The service is great if, we consider the amount of people that just always around. The flavor, the spices, and the broth complementing the soup. The atmosphere around really change, nowadays it's more gentrify. Everything changed, the good old food stands disappears.

A foodie paradise all under one roof. Food brings cultures together in an amazing way. At Grand Central Market, you have a taste of L.A., a solid mix of foods from different corners of Los Angeles. Lively vibe, upbeat. Bustling with life. A happy place to be.

A really good place to go on a food trip. The variety of food you‘ll get from Asian, European or Mexican food. Since my family prepares Filipino food, we opt for Mexican. The best Mexican we ever had (living in Germany). The atmosphere was very friendly and fun. You have to go around to be able to decide which one you‘ll get.

This is a great place for a variety of foods and sweets! I would recommend coming in the morning if you only want donuts, coffee, tacos, or chinese because not everyone is open in the morning. If you want the full experience coming around 1pm or later, more places will be open and there is plenty of seating! The taco stand and donut place (next to each other) are amazing. The coffee bar on the other side is also amazing. There are just endless options! Great place to visit even if you're just passing through LA.

OMG, I have always wanted to come here but never had the time, this trip we made the time and it did not disappoint. Cannot wait to go back and try some new things. 3 favorites were the lobster roll, best one I have ever had.. then the fresh made banana pudding and the egg and bacon sandwich . Tacos were good and the kids loved their wood fired pizza. I have had better Pad Thai but it still wasn't bad but probably wouldn't get it again. Donuts were pretty good too. So much to choose from

Got there about 10 minutes after they opened. It was not as busy as it gets once it’s later in the day. If you don’t want to wait around too much and have it be so crowded then I’d suggest you get there early! It was a great atmosphere with delicious foods/desserts all around you! Every time I’ve gone to California I have enjoyed stopping by for a meal due to the experience. Dogs are not allowed but if you get there early enough they’re not very strict about it. I had my dog in a stroller (I know) and wasn’t given any problems! Others were also walking around with their dogs but as I mentioned it wasn’t very crowded so the dogs had no issue walking around. If you go later in the day when it’s busy I’d be careful with having your dog come! I would for sure go back and try different foods!

I've been coming here for many years. I love the mix of old and new, and the mix of options available. I wish more food halls existed similar to this place. It has parking and bathrooms are downstairs. For the most part it's kept pretty clean but my only complaint is I wish there were more seating arrangements. The downstairs is often not utilized and it would be great for this I think. (Watch your head going down!) But other than that, always a lovely experience that reminds me of why LA is great. Never felt unsafe here either. :)

This place is always a great stop whether you are a visiting tourist or local. I love having all of the food options. Tonight there was live music which boosted the overall Friday night vibes. There is a parking garage attached which helps for convenient parking. Not much to complain about this market. You can go many times without eating the same thing. Highly recommend.

Loved the options! Great food, reasonable wait time even for the most popular ones, and great vendors for their markets on the weekend. Some may say it's a sketchier place of town but I felt fine visiting while staying at a nearby hotel, though it wasn't dark. Great vegan, vegetarian, healthy AND treat-worthy eats.

I would highly recommend this place as a family outing or even first date! There’s a lot of great food in there for anyone /all diets. Also great for people watching. Once you’re done here, take a stop at The Last Bookstore next door, then visit the tram for $2

Hige variety of food and drinks. The food is bursting with flavor. It has authentic Chinese food. Shrimp chop suey. comes with rice and soup (chicken broth) with green onions. There were plenty of options for a vegetarian and a meat-eater Portion sizes vary but some dishes can be large. Free samples are also a bonus. There are tables scattered around each stall but if it's busy it is very hard to find a place to sit. Great selection of food options, with choices for everyone. A great place to meet friends and family for some social dining, with lots of room to sit, relax, catch-up and enjoy the food and drinks. Toilets and bonus sales of clothes and accessories can be found on the bottom floor. Worth the visit and can accommodate people in any kind of group.

Always a great time, and this time, I tried the seafood taco platter from La Tostaderia for brunch & the tacos were delicious! (I usually go to the Thai place called Sticky Rice which has great Pad Thai and Thai fried rice!). As always, dessert from The Donut Man didn’t disappoint & was so fresh!

After a visit to the Broad museum, we were pretty hungry, so we decided to go to the Grand Central Market for some food. It’s always a fun spot to visit people watch eat lunch eat snacks they’ve got it all. Definitely a variety of food from American to Italian Mexican Asian. Hey, serve beer in different places the restrooms they got sweets so one stop shop for delicious food. It’s an open air market and it’s quite lively. Little busy but nothing too bad. We are easily able to find a spot to have four of us sit and eat and enjoy our delicious Carnitas! We ended up parking in the structure pretty much attached to the market cost was four dollars so pretty cheap and was easy to get in and out. Recommend parking in that location.

Cool place to eat and drink. They have a parking building located right next to it, and the parking fee is reasonable. But in my opinion, it's too small if you are planning to spend half day shop and eat here. There are also not too many food options in the morning. We only spent 1 hour to browse and shop the whole market. It is great that they have security and cleaners in the market which makes me feel safe since it's located in downtown LA. Anyway, I would recommend if you have time while visiting LA! But no need to drive a long way to see it.

Visited Grand Central Market recently with my friend. It has tons of options for food, drinks, coffee etc. Amazing ambience and has that locality market vibe to it. It is clean and very well maintained. Everyone was wearing masks and there was a person at the entrance to check whether everyone was wearing masks or not. We went during the day to get some coffee. It's a great place to hangout and eat with friends. If you are in LA downtown area, I would definitely recommend you visit this market.

I recently visited this venue and was happy I did. They have so much to offer it’s complete with so many options offering different types of food and drinks. You could spend a decent amount of time checking out all the options in the warehouse type venue. I’d highly recommend checking this place out.

This historic landmark has a little something for everyone. There's so many great food vendors! Didn't realize Central Market has been around since 1917. The eclectic cuisine reflects the diverse culture and history of LA. Place can get pretty busy on the weekends, especially around lunchtime. Highly recommend the on-site parking on Hill St. Parking garage rates is $4 for the first 90 min. Which isn't bad considering it's DTLA. My go-to places are LA Tostaderia (seafood centric Mexican spot) and Sticky Rice (Thai). Super seasoned, fresh, and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the food vendors.

It was H O T, and extremely hard to find a table. The food was great, but the place was too tight. I would recommend going here if you needed takeout, but definitely not a place to dine in if you want to relax and enjoy your food.

Food is on the pricey side, with medium to small portions in return. It's extremely hard to find a seat and table to sit, gotta hunt. You can find equal or better tasting food in local businesses in the surrounding area for cheaper prices.

It is an awesome place to visit! I dare to say that this place is a must stop for angelenos. There's a palatable variety of food, desserts, produce, and spices(Filipino,Salvadoran,Mexican, American food etc.) There is also a variety of performances like art, trivia or bazaar The environment is very welcoming for families or couples. The only challenge could be getting a table,in case the Market is packed (mostly during the weekend) However there is security within the premises because the place is also a home to several people who lease apartments within the building.I recommend this place! Gotta love LA💙

A must in LA. Such a cool place with great food and shopping options. Atmosphere is electric on a Sunday mid-day. Donuts, coffee, sushi, tacos. And a lot more. I heard a lady say “they have Mexican here.” Uh, yeah they do! I took my toddlers with me which was an adventure unto itself but it’s definitely doable. Give time for lines and maneuvering.

  • 4/5 Mohamed A. 1 year ago on Google
There was the perfect selection of food, and the atmosphere was one that encouraged exploration, discovery, and friendly conversation. The variety of cuisines was overwhelming, with something to please everyone from vegan to omnivores. Many of the vendors' stands featured local, organic, and handmade ingredients, which was wonderful to see. The layout was easy to navigate and could be conquered in an afternoon, but you definitely need to factor in extra time if you want to sample from more than one vendor. There were frequent live music performances and impromptu tango dancing which added life to the atmosphere. Grand Central Market was definitely worth the trip - I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a genuine and cultural culinary experience.

This place’s amazing! Lots of restaurants to choose from! You’ve got Mexican, El Salvadorean, Korean, Japanese and many more! The place has its own parking space adjacent to the building so it won’t be an issue. It has a very nice and inviting ambiance with a few displays that’s worth taking a picture of!

I had the lobster roll from Broad Street Oyster Co. It was a bit expensive for what it was but also very very tasty!. It was packed with tender lobster. I loved it. They also had good fries and I appreciated the Malt Vinegar offering. I gave the Market 4 stars because hardly any vendors were open when we got there at a little before 8pm on a Wednesday. Its kind of inconvenient to check each vendors hours before you visit a market like that.

This building has 2 floors dedicated to restaurants. Come eat and check out the whole place. Food, desserts, drinks. Parking garage attached. My husband and I sat at one of the restaurants & were told to sit elsewhere since we didn't order food from them specifically. But they had no customers and a bunch of seating. So it was a little difficult to find an open spot to sit since it was pretty packed in there. I like the variety but they are missing an Indian restaurant in there:) Would be cool if 1 of each culture was in there. Also, each place is a bit expensive.

Iconic food court in the middle of downtown. It's a true culinary destination, so yes it's worth going out of your way to come. There are so many varied options here that there is really something for everyone, from Thai to sausages to burgers to beer and wine to Mexican, and so much more. It will be crowded, but watch for long enough and you'll snag a table. Definitely worth a visit! Perfect for lunch as well. Check out Angel's Flight across the street when you're done.

It's situated near the broad and Walt Disney concert hall. It's really crowded n hot in the market with no place to sit. I was really excited to visit it but when I did, I wanted to eat asap n get out of there. It can be very confusing for people who are new to the country and once u order u have to wait a lot to get the food and food is not cheap. I prefer eating from food trucks located outside The Broad Museum. There is no proper ventilation once u step inside the market.

This was my first time visiting Grand Central Market and I was pleasantly surprised. The place is huge and offer so much variety in food. I saw fresh juices, seafood, sushi, desserts, fried chicken, cookies, seafood, bbq, burgers and lots and lots of tacos. I appreciated how organized and clean everything was. There was always someone cleaning the tables and everyone was very friendly. Felt comfortable and safe. Would come again to try more yummy food.

This place is a must if you visit LA. Lots of food options, from fresh squeezed juice and smoothies to the biggest tacos I've ever had. It's usually very busy and it's hard to find a place to sit down but it's worth going. The upper area is all food and the lower area has clothing, and art vendors. Parking around the area can be hard to find, however there's a parking lot $$

I might come at the wrong time 😄 I expect more crowded more vibe more people. I’m familiar with Asian food court market and European fresh food market which offers atmosphere of good prepared food, with attractive display, especially the vibe of eager “trying out all the shops”. I came at noon, i followed the review and parked at the park haus with connection to the market. it was very convenient. The restrooms are clean. The space generally was clean but not the vibe I expected. Maybe I will try another time.

Great place if you want lots of delicious options (appetizers, drinks, entrees, desserts and more!) - plenty of places to choose. 2nd time here! It is busy, loud and warm but venture to outer ends for seating & eating/drinking. Vendors are super nice and helpful. Food quantities are plentiful. Prices vary. Daughter enjoyed both times her burgers from Jose Chiquitos are worthy of the drive from IE to downtown LA ($13 w/fries & drink). Teddy's Tiny Bites' mini fluffy pancakes w/churro cereal was amazing! There is certainly something special about this place!

A lot of people and really crowded. Food to me is overpriced. Felt a snatch of money and a slap in the face. Wasn't a bad chicken sandwich. It's just not worth what I paid. Ice cream overpriced. Tried it once. I don't need to go back!

Always a stop for me when Im fortunate enough to be over in Los Angeles. Perfectly placed in a bustling touristy area. I highly recommend a walk after visiting the market to see some gorgeous architecture surrounding you. Abandoned theatre’s abound will make your imagination run wild of what it must have looked and sounded like in the 50’s. I tried a new cafè I hadn’t come across on the numerous times I’d been in the past. BASTION : By Bakers Kneaded. Great double shot of espresso! Tasty pastries to boot! It was around Halloween so the festive decor added to the overall experience! Blue Bottle is a stones throw away and a great option to fuel the fire of gawking as you go go go!

The Grand Central Market was such a fun stop on our recent trip to Los Angeles. The atmosphere was busy, lively, and really fun. Plus there were yummy new smells every few feet! They have something for everyone there and many different ethnic food were represented. I was especially delighted to see the Donut Man shop there - I wanted to try their donuts but didn’t want to drive out to Glendora. They were delicious! Everything we got there was really good. My only complaint was that drinks were expensive, we couldn’t find a drinking fountain, and there wasn’t a gas station or convenience store anywhere nearby. We left parched (because I had already spent a small fortune on food and parking and wait didn’t want to spend more on a drink I could get food a dollar at 7/11). Other than that it was so fun and well worth the visit!

Just about every kind of food you could want. Friendly vendors with easy access to everything. It tends to get very warm down on the main level with all the cooking and no A/C but just find a table upstairs near the brewery and bars and you get a great breeze.

A great spot for locals and tourists alike to explore different cuisines and get a quick bite! I was amazed by the sheer variety of different cuisines in the food stalls inside, ranging from Mexican to Filipino to contemporary American and more! It feels like every time you go, there’s always something new to try. Though it was busy on the weekday afternoon we went, it didn’t feel overcrowded and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely worth checking out.

Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner/ Snack’s, Grand Central Market have it all! Always a good vibe and quite crowded. Do expect a line to most of the places especially after 12PM. Preparing yourself to be a bit patient before getting your goods and you will be well rewarded. All the food is tasty and fresh. A perfect spot to meet up with friends, family, have a first meeting with a potential someone or just for a self care day all to yourself!

really lovely food market with lots of different options. I went for Mexican food - the queue moved quickly and portions were very generous. Quite busy even on a weekday lunch so it may be quite difficult to get a table. There is also a market on the floor below selling clothes, jewellery etc.

Cool place with plenty of dining options. There are a bunch of different price ranges and many places to choose from, and even if there’s a lot of people in here it also somehow stays clean. I’d add more seating space because it’s a bit hard to find a table during rush hours. It’s also in a convenient location. We paid about 6 for the taco and 23 for the lox

Surprisingly, I found parking directly at the grand central parking lot. The market was not too crowded on Friday evening. Strolled though aisles and had dinner at 2 different places. Good variety of selections of food and dessert places. Thai, Filipino, Ramen (Vegan option), burger, Italian cuisine were all available. Beers selection was good. Fresh juice section had long queue. Would come again.
