There isn’t a lot of shade here, but there’s a lot of space and people picnicking about. There are dogs off leash, kids playing with kites, and people working out. Take some time and relax with some food or take a nice walk around the lake!

Very clean, not too many homeless people have destroyed it yet. Lots of areas to sit in the grass near the water and watch the sunset. Parking can be tricky. Tons of foot traffic along the edges of the grassy area. But nice area within the city. Would recommend.

Serene area perfect for picnics or nice easy walks. Be aware shade is limited, as well as parking (street parking only)

Stopped here to kill some time and throw the Frisbee around. I was sort of complaining about there being so many gopher holes. Then we noticed Gophy, named by my bid in the pic, being super active. Gophy was cool and let us check him out. There's a small path that runs through this little section. Dogs aren't allowed. Couple benches to chill on. There were people having a picnic or drinking some wine, or both 😁 The road is SUPER busy. We had to cross the street to because that's the only place to park. Be very careful. I was with a third grader so that was a bonus, say than a stroller. There will be a break but it might take awhile depending on the time. The road is generally very busy.

Great little park with large open field. Very well maintained with clean grounds. Peaceful relaxed vibe. Greats for families or to meet up with friends.

While I like how it looks, I don’t like it that I can’t get near the water. Also there is no bathroom…no wonder my experience was disappointing, especially for a fancy place like silver lake.

After the rains that LA has been experiencing, the meadows were green and lush. Families were out and lounging on the grass. A great vibe.

Its exactly what it says a meadow. No restrooms. Ment to be dog free but many people walk their dogs through it. Long list of city don'ts ball games etc, but a nice place to stop if walking around the reservoir or just want to chill on grass .One drinking fountain can be found near the cross walk.

Nice walk, but it has too many woke posters and advertisements all over.. like let me enjoy the walk without rubbing all that in my face....

This is great. It reminds my friend of home. Wish there were lights for when it’s starting to get dark

Quiet, small local park near the reservoir. There aren't any restrooms and dogs aren't allowed. We go often and have a couple friends who have been ticketed by park rangers for bringing dogs.

Amazing place for a Sunday picnic. No restrooms but clean. About two to three hours is appropriate with friends or with pup.

Beautiful location to relax, hang out with family and friends, and even walk the perimeter of the reservoir. It probably can use a restroom for patrons while hanging out and soaking up the sun

Silver Lake is a splendid location in LA. We relaxed here and then a bit later took on the 'hidden Staircases of Silver Lake' Got to most of them but left three for 'next time'

It is definitely a place to put on the map is vast and wide and lush and green and it seems to have a lot of nature and paths or walkway around it for joggers dog walkers and people wanting to go for a high purchase get some for sure alike it's very clean and lush and I was actually doing it delivery right across the street so I am getting easier chance to scour the whole area but from what I could see it was very inviting and enticing in the returns of people there that were super energetic and like I said walking their dogs are exercising and just out in nature it's wonderful beautiful different kinds of birds and trees and the sky was just a few clouds white clouds. It was awesome!

Great park for a picnic, no dogs allowed so you can go barefoot, plenty of street parking, posted hours are actually “Open Dawn to Dusk.” Lost a star due to lack of bathrooms. (Whole Foods is a short walk away and they won’t hassle you for using their bathroom.)

Great place to relax outside, and a staple of the neighborhood. In the warmer months, shade can be hard to come by, so consider wearing sunscreen or bringing an umbrella.

Love this place! So nice to see tons of people hanging out, a lot of families and fun happening on the weekends. Super super chill place. Go hang, tan, bring your guitar and/or hammock.

Great spot to have a picnic, chill vibes, people of all ages, and a scenic backdrop with the reservoir and the mountains.

Enjoy the location, view and space. Would be nice if the open grass space was better maintained and had less gopher holes. Otherwise great.

Can get crowded on the weekend but a great spot to lay out as an alternative to the grass area by the south end.

Sadly, I was pretty disappointed with this walk. I had been recommended to check it out by numerous people, but left feeling like I had not gotten the most out of my time here. The Meadows themselves were...ok. Not the best upkeep, with a lot of patchiness and uneven grass. Supposedly it was also dog free, but I saw numerous people with their dogs next to them on the grass. I don't really care about that, but be noted. The meadows are surrounded by a walking path around the reservoir, but the whole reservoir is guarded by a very tall fence that makes it difficult to really see the water and made it feel.....less welcoming. The actual walking path is quite close to the road, so a relaxing walk/run was often interrupted by cars zooming by. Perhaps my expectations were just too high, but I was hoping for something more than what was offered here. I could see how if you live directly in the neighborhood it would be a nice way to spend an afternoon with some friends, but coming from up in the Valley, it left a lot to be desired.

Pretty area. But parking is difficult, and meadow has lack of shade. Still get 4 stars for being maintained and being a park in the middle of our concrete jungle.
