I'm not a fan of vegan food, but this restaurant is on another level. Everything I tried was fresh and full of flavor. I ordered the Drunken noodles, spicy eggplant, wonton soup, and spring rolls. Everything was delicious. I'll be coming back to try other items in the menu.

It's our first time eating at this restaurant. We ordered the golden fried tofu, Thai fried rice, egg rolls, Padsee Ew, and orange chicken. The food was great, except for the orange chicken who sauce tasted like they had heated up a jar of orange marmalade and drizzled it on top of fried tofu. This is one of the reasons why I'm giving them a three-star instead of five, and also due to the fact that there is no rear entry to the restaurant we walked all the way around the block to get to the front of the restaurant, only to find that we have to walk all the way back to the back of the restaurant where we parked just to reach the bathroom to wash our hands. Very awkward arrangement of parking to the front door and then back to the restaurant bathroom.

Very nice vegan dishes. Big menu, nice service, fast and tasty. We had crispy tacos, the taco shells are not fresh, ot was fine but it's not authentic mexican taste, which was ok, but I suggest here to order something with vegan chicken. We LOVED the mango chicken, and also the chicken wrap with tasty tahini dressing is great, for a fair price. We will come back for the pineapple rice. Thanks for good food!

Pretty dam good! My work bestie took us here and the food gave! The presentation was a complete surprise for me and I genuinely didn't think I was going to enjoy the food, but dam, did looks deceive. The fish dinner was delicious and had seasoning, sauce, and flavor. I prefer my vegetables sauted, but the raw cooked veggies were just as good and tasted great with the brown rice and fish. I would come here again and today was a nice surprise from him:) The carrot cake wasn't the best, but I wasn't surprised. A lot of vegan establishments have the same type/brand of cakes. Overall, L.A was a enjoyable first impression with sweet service and yummy food :)

Love this little spot! Unsuspecting from the outside. Very nicely decorated on the inside. Small but cozy feel. Food was on point. Had the breakfast combo w pancakes and the orange chicken. Delicious! Pancakes were VERY Good! Orange chicken was Good as well. Would definitely return to this location. I left my camera battery and charger behind before we left for the airport. I was able to ship them a prepaid envelope and she was VERY NICE and thoughtful to help ship it back. Looking forward to coming back!

My family and I have been regular customers for over a decade and it rarely disappoints. Staff is friendly and adept, restaurant is clean and casual, easy to park, fair prices, varied menu, and the food does the job. A great casual spot that has stood the test of time.

I ordered a small bowl of Tom Yum Koong soup and immediately regretted that I didn't order the large bowl - it was so tasty. The pancakes are super fluffy and delicious. Also tried the (fried) seaweed roll. Update: we visited a 2nd time on this trip, this time choosing the Tom Kah Kai cocunut soup (large bowl this time!) and the Drunken Noodles. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to visit next time I'm in town. 😋

I'm not vegan, but wow! This place blew my freaking mind! Unreal! We got the lunch special. $10.50 for an amazing curry, amazing rice, great salad, two little wantons and it was incredible! Unreal. My gf got kong pao. Insanely flavorful. Nice people. Comfy little spot. Honestly unreal... Best Thai food I've ever had, vegan or not vegan.

Food exceeded my expectations, I had the pad thai and orange "chicken" from the lunch specials menu. Both were huge portions and tasted delicious. If I ever come back to California I'd definitely come back here again 😊

Amazing!! Got soy chicken sate for appetizer, Main dishes were Kung pao soy chicken and orange chicken, both amazing!! And we had enough to pack up for lunch next day. Dessert was coconut mango sticky rice!

LA Vegan has the best dishes consistently for years!! The owner is so welcoming and the staff always give excellent service! Whenever my son is in town, I don’t even have to ask, I know his first choice is LA Vegan … Papaya salad… Drunken noodles with fresh vegetables… and more, so good!

  • 5/5 Brent H. 2 years ago on Google
LA vegan is a go to for me and my wife. Huge menu offering and their noodle dishes are literally some of the best quality and quantity of vegan food I’ve ever had. Great value as nothing is over priced. I recommend the Pad Thai or drunken Noodles. Definitely recommend this place for a casual night out or for take out!

  • 5/5 Helga L. 2 years ago on Google
My favorite place ever. It’s every vegan’s paradise. The service is fast and amazing, everyone is always nice and considerate. The food is simply incredible: no matter what you decide to get you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend to try it, even if you don’t like vegan food! My favorite thing on the menu is Pad Thai with soy meat. <3

  • 5/5 Lindy M. 2 years ago on Google
The red curry with tofu was delicious and reasonably priced ($12) as was the Thai iced tea ($4). The server was attentive without being intrusive and was on top of water refills and grabbing the check. They had free parking in the back, which is always a plus in Los Angeles. No complaints. Everything was great. I, myself, am not vegan and thought the food was wonderful and my vegan friend enjoyed her pad Thai dish. I would recommend to vegan an non-vegan alike (at least for what we ordered).

We order from LA Vegan often and they never disappoint! Our favorite orders being the Orange Chicken and the Chicken Quesadilla. One time during a pickup order I did wait quite a while after they told me it would be ready, however considering how often we order, I knew this was out of the norm. Staff is friendly and always smiling. Also worth noting, I am vegan, but none of my roommates, nor my partner is vegan and they all love this food just the same! The menu isn’t intimidating at all for non-vegans! 10/10 recommend!!

Yum! I've been a customer at this mom & pop shop for years and the food is always good, well-portioned, and consistent. The restaurant is clean and peaceful. They also have a wide range on their menu so I can almost always find something that suits my mood. I always feel good after I eat here. Also, the people there are so kind - it always keeps me coming back. Thank you LV for your hard work , great food and service. I appreciate you all! :)

  • 5/5 Norel Ann de L. 2 years ago on Google
Great food. Yellow curry was fragrant, tofu was done really well, not like store bought tofu just tossed in. The pad Thai sauce was flavorful and the noodles were one of the best ones I've had. Would go again whenever I'm close to the area. Prices are very responsible, as well.

My fellow travelers here will surely agree: when it comes to finding a spot to eat, especially at the end of a draining journey from Seattle to Los Angeles, there is no such thing as being picky. But believe me, friends, when I say that THIS place is worth spending your last gallons of fuel on- metaphorically or not. Exhausted, homesick yet tearing up at the thought of having only one last meal left on American land before catching a flight back to France: these were the circumstances in which I found this place, or, to be exact, in which this place found me. As a foreigner, specifically as a Parisian aspiring gourmet, I would tend to judge a book by its cover and a diner by its store front, and LA Vegan’s decor may not look like much or might not resemble what you expect from a West Coast vegan breakfast restaurant. But if you trust me enough to come in here and order anything- ANYTHING from the menu, you’ll be rewarded with the everlasting feeling that for once you made the right decisions in life. No, feeding someone after a three weeks long roadtrip across the worst A&Ws of the West isn’t that hard; but haunting a French mind for almost a year now with the world’s most delicious mock-fried chicken is.

This used to be our favorite place to go eat when we are in Los Angeles. The last three times we went were pure disappointment. We ordered curry one time and the potatoes were hard and not cooked through. When we ordered the orange chicken, we found a metal staple (from a big carton in the kitchen probably) in my food. I was in shock. I could have overlooked it and cut my mouth open with it. When telling the waitress about it, she said sorry, took the plate and still charged us for the food. I told myself that I couldn't return to this place ever again. The variety of food is great but the quality not anymore unfortunately.

  • 4/5 Andrew L. 2 years ago on Google
The orange chicken is so close to being perfect! The texture and crunchiness of the "chicken" is amazing, however the sauce really lets it down. The sauce is too liquidy and too vinegary. The sauce should be the easy part, hopefully they fix that. As it stands, it's more of a 3/5 star dish but with the potential to be 5/5 stars!!

This place blows me away every time. I'm new to eating vegan food and I'm amazed they make it taste so good! Really expansive menu, quick delivery, and delicious food! I keep wanting to try more items from the menu because I'm determined to find something I don't like!

I am not even done with my dessert and I had to start writing this out. Amazing service from Paula, and incredible, heart warming food. We ordered the steamed dumplings, the fried spring rolls, pad Thai (amazinggg), the lentil loaf, carrot cake, and mmmmmmmm the mango sticky RICE I will be dreaming about. The couple next to us was raving about the wings, and the guy address from us ordered dinner and pancakes. Seriously all around good food. Thank you!

  • 5/5 Cole C. 8 months ago on Google

I order take out from them once and a while they are great. Usually order the orange chicken and the pad see ew with chicken. I do like their mango and sticky rice as dessert. Pick up is usually pretty speedy and food is tasty. Definitely give them a try

The food was good but the woman who served my table was very rude and I did not feel the need to tip so I left the change that was left over from a dollar and when the woman saw the change I heard her smack her lips and same way something in her Asian language to her coworker In a disrespectful way. Although I can not understand they're language I'm sure it was something rude. Even though the foo d is good I will not be returning to eat here again.

They only accept phone orders and I had to call outside the restaurant because they don't accept walk ins. I was searching up "best wings in LA" then google showed San Tung and I gave it a try (best decision ever lmaooo). The dry chicken wings is really good, reasonable price and best quality! Will definitely order again soon.

This is excellent, fresh vegan food. The prices add up but the sushi is worth it, especially when you see the time and care put into each bite. Loved open invitation, butler's key, and candlestick rolls. I almost wish I could keep this place a secret.

Big Lantern is our Chinese take-out place of choice! It's somewhat pricey, but they don't skimp on the meat and veggies. So, it's Chinese comfort food but not cheap Chinese.

  • 5/5 Brandee H. 3 years ago on Google
Best thai spot on the Westside. Pineapple fried rice is so good and it's a large portion. Fried spring rolls are a must try. Pad Se Ew and Pad Thai are both winners too. The pancakes at brunch are ridiculously good.

I love this place. I come here relatively frequently since it is so close to my house and the food is SO good. Their Mongolian beef, shrimp and asparagus, chow mein, and orange chicken are some of my favorite dishes. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this review. As La Crescenta's gem, I'm hoping New Moon continues to stay amazing. Only thing is, ordering and picking up takes at least an hour, so beware of ordering while starving.

This place was soooo good! I will definitely be coming back!!! My boyfriend Chris is obsessed with their basil chicken and their yellow curry was perfect. They had a bunch of cool Thai drinks I've never seen or had that were pretty good. My only complaint is that it can get a bit busy and they only have 2 unisex bathrooms for the whole restaurant.
