Enjoyed a great dinner with friends and family on Saturday evening. We reserved Walt Disney's table 31 for our dinner. And, being fans we loved dining on a piece of Americana. PROS: Traditional Scottish pub atmosphere, original artwork, oil paintings, fireplaces lit, savory Scottish rarebit, succulent prime rib, soft and tasty Yorkshire pudding, wonderful creamed spinach and corn, all food was a delightful and delicious. However, as great as the ambiance and food was, Gerardo was an awesome server. He was great and hosted and amazing table and truly made the evening memorable. CONS: The greeter and hostess seemed a bit short and rude.

We came to Tam’s as part of a self-designed Walt Disney tour. We made reservations in advance and requested Walt’s table - which they were able to provide. Such an amazing opportunity to dine in the place where so much magic was born. However, not only was Tam’s a great Disney destination, but the food is amazing. We wanted to order so many things on the menu - but settled on the prime rib - which was absolutely outstanding. I would definitely return here again for prime rib and the ambiance alone. Definitely recommend!

The Prince Charlie Cut Prime Rib was really delicious and the creamed corn too, so good, I wish I had more. Absolutely make a reservation here, it's a must. I highly recommend stopping here. Great atmosphere. There's dining inside and there's outside dining as well. There is valet parking, for a nominal fee of $8 bucks.

My husband and I got the opportunity to dine here as part of our Walt tour with the Anaheim tour company. Walt Disney frequented this place himself and there is a booth where he sat with an embossed placard on it. If you look very closely at the table you will see one of the sketches that he drew. We had the opportunity to sit there for a photo picture. His table was number 31 and Walt has a drink named for him. Also note the restaurant models Snow White's cottage with the dwarves. We were actually seated at a booth where John Wayne ate. Our tour guide left us alone to dine. Our waiter was most friendly and helpful. My husband had the fish and chips while I had the cheeseburger and fries. Although we waited some time to get the food it was indeed worth the wait. They were both delicious! During that time I got to see the other rooms in the restaurant and some of the characture portraits they had hanging. They have a full bar here. Although known for their prime rib we decided to skip that since we wanted to split a dessert. We decided to get a strawberry trifle and asked our waiter to hurry up since we didn't want to overextend our stay while on a tour clock. He did so and gave us two spoons and forks so we could enjoy it. It wasn't overly heavy and was sweet and yummy! We paid the check and had a look outside. There is a British style phone booth and nice scenery by the front door. We were so happy we had an opportunity to dine here where otherwise we would not have had a chance were we not on tour. Definitely will return here again if I'm ever in the area.

One of our favorite places to go and we were so excited to sit inside this visit! Our son's favorite place to go for the corned beef sandwich and prime rib dinner. Yesterday was special, he got to tour Walt Disney's mansion then eat lunch at Walt's favorite place (hopefully next visit he can check out Walt's booth too). I had the avocado toast with poached eggs, didn't look like much at first but it was tasty and very filling. Jameson had the prime rib sandwich with fries and a side of mashed potatoes with gravy. He was a super happy camper. My mom enjoyed her Cobb salad and the hubby loved his fry (breakfast plate). They also have an extensive selection of drinks, I went with a red/Malbec, pretty good. Loved that the staff was dressed up for Halloween and they are so nice, always! Service was great, as usual, food came out quickly and hot and is always good! Ambiance is beyond amazing (love it around the holidays as well)! Make sure to stop by when you are in the area! Always worth our drive up from San Diego!!!! Prime rib sandwiches to go for the kids! Why go grocery shopping when you can grab dinner from the Tam to take home?!

First time here. My Son treated me to lunch at a "special favorite of his". I loved it. We both enjoyed the fish and chips plate. Wonderful fish, delicious Cole Slaw and chips. Definitely, I will dine here again. Hint: try the English Trifle for dessert...very good on a hot day.

Delicious steak and chicken big enough to share or take home for a snack later. Chicken had a lovely crisp and I really enjoyed the salad. The interior is a nice relaxed setting and servers were all very nice. Will go back to try more.

A friend who lived in LA recommended Tam O'Shanter and insisted it was worth the hour drive in traffic. It definitely was - the Prince Charlie cut off prime rib was perfectly cooked and delicious, sand the creamed corn was the best I ever had. I wish I had asked them to replace the other sides and just bring me more creamed corn.

Food was good. Atmosphere was different. Cool place for the experience. Service was good. It was cold inside so wish they would make it more comfortable temperature to dine at. When the temp drop outside should be a comfortable temperature inside. Wished we would have done outside by the fire.

Great historic place. I stopped in by myself during travel from Palm Dessert to Santa Barbara. I had the Tam O Shanter cut prime rib with mashed and creamed spinach. I also had the French onion soup and sticky toffee pudding. The soup and pudding were pretty good. The prime rib was great. The history and atmosphere are worth the visit.

Highly recommend and will certainly be returning. Food: the portions were large. Between two people, we shared the fried pickles (the dipping sauce was more of a mustard and not my liking), French onion soup, and their famous prime rib. Everything was delicious. Their prime rib was the best I’ve had. We left very satisfied. Service: they provided the best customer service. They were attentive and welcoming. They were accommodating to our ADA needs even though we were a walk-in. They walked around with us to find the most suitable seating. The aesthetic from the outside to inside is unique and something to experience.

The Tam O'Shanter is so cool. I have driven by almost everyday and never realized what a gem was tucked inside. I feel like I am being transported back one hundred years into a medieval tavern. We dined around 8 pm and had reservations so we did not have to worry about waiting. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. We started off with some brussel sprouts and shrimp cocktails. My main dish was the fish and chips but their prime rib looked amazing too. The service was awesome and our waiter showed us the table that Walt Disney sat at. I can't wait to go back again.

A very cool nostalgic place, with a history dating back over a hundred years. Had a traditional corned beef dinner to celebrate my birthday, the corned beef was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was very nice and quite pleasant and included our introduction with a brief history of the location. We sat at the famous Walt Disney table. All in all was a wonderful experience.

I hadn't been here in years and I was so pleased that everything was still top notch. Of course I had to have the prime rib, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes with the traditional Yorkshire pudding. The meal absolutely hit the spot. We decided to eat here at the spur of moment. I wish that we had made reservations in order to eat on the patio to enjoy the beautiful day.

Love the atmosphere here. Feels very old school and love the coziness of this restaurant. It has alot of history, like the seat that Walt Disney always sat on. Prime rib cuts and taste are identical to lawry's minus the whole fine dining experience.

A historical place to eat prime rib as they have been around for 100 years. Lots of artifacts relating to Walt Disney are shown around the restaurant. You can also request to sit at Walt's table 31. The Prime Rib was yummy, but not as good as Lawry's carved table side. The Cesar salad was OK. The service was good and busboys kept our water filled. The atmosphere here is generally good, but the this time there was a young boy at the next table that was loud and making shrieking sounds constantly that ruined our dining experience. Wish parents would do more to control their kids or take them outside. Good place to have a prime rib dinner, but would still recommend Lawry's over them.

This is probably one of my favorite restaurants. Awesome “Cheers” style decor & a nice homely feel that serves the greatest prime rib of all time. I ordered Tam O Shanter Cut with mash potatoes/gravy & creamed corn. My cut was about 10 ounces and it was delicious. Perfectly seasoned and I got it medium rare. I highly recommend the creamy horse radish to give it that extra flavorful pop. The Mac & cheese was great, Guinness nitro beer was super smooth & a bottle of their red wine really made the prime rib shine. The desert I had was also delicious with a side of vanilla ice cream. It was delicious layers of cake and cream. I highly recommend that dessert if it’s available. Customer service is excellent & just be aware that walk in’s are a hit and miss. I highly recommend getting a reservation via Open Table app or website. Also parking is limited on street but they do have valet as their main parking. ***update*** The corner table inside the restaurant was a table where Walt Disney sketched the designs for Disneyland. We found out after numerous people were taking a pic of the corner of the table.

We were there for drinks after work. Drinks are not watered-down. The Welsh Rarebit is great as always. From past visits, I can recommend the brisket sandwich, the burger, and of course, the prime rib plates. It gets quite noisy in the bar area after 7 p.m., so if you want a conversation, you might prefer to sit in the outside eating area which is a lovely place, or make reservations for the dining room. I've been coming here for many years, and it continues to be one of my favorite places in Los Angeles.

We went here for lunch. We primarily went because of the Disney history associated with the restaurant. We had the macaroni and cheese, the prime rib dinner, and the little gem salad. We were not impressed with the quality of the food. It was equivalent to cafeteria food in many aspects. We did eat our food, so it wasn’t horrible, but considering the price, we didn’t think it was worth it. For example, the mashed potatoes seemed to come from a packet, and the creamed corn seemed to come from a can. Prime rib was cooked well, but lacked seasoning. Nevertheless, service was incredible and speedy. Our waiter was very attentive. The atmosphere was nice and niche. Again, we would preferred if the food quality was better.

Jonathan is the best server! He made our night so special! Food was delicious. Scotch rarebit & wedge salad followed by classic prime rib. We will definitely be back soon!

We went here for the first time recently and requested to sit at "Table 31", a favorite of Walt Disney's. The ambience, service and food were all outstanding. Gerardo was our server, and his attention to detail was incredible. Throughout the meal he gave us fun little snippets of info about the restaurant, the recipes, and the history of the table we were seated at. He even pulled up pictures to show us how the restaurant's old stone oven interior may have led to the inspiration for Snow White. He was extremely attentive to our every request and made a very pleasant visit that much better. He even explained how Tam O'Shanter got the rights and recipe for the CC Brown's hot fudge, which is exclusively used at the restaurant for their sundaes, and is the best hot fudge I've ever had. The food was great, as to be expected from a Lawry's Company restaurant. Everything was cooked perfectly, the drinks and drink service were impeccable and the ice cream sundae was out of this world. Would highly recommend giving this place a visit if you're looking for Lawry's quality, but with less dress and a much more fun environment.

We have always loved the Tam. Our table had tape holding it together and plastic binding around the edge that was peeling and poking. The staff varied and dressed way too casually for a nice restaurant. The French Onion soup was too salty and I LOVE salty. Even the Valet didn't touch a door on the car. Still okay, but perhaps not worth the prices they charge for "fine dining". Made me sad, really.

Such a fun place..especially for the holidays. Makes you feel a bit like you're in Scotland for the holidays. The service here is so engaging and fun, especially at the bar, and the drinks are wonderful. Thanks for the fun times!

What a find!!! From a British girl who is living the dream in California I have to admit I miss traditional home comfort food. I seen this place last minute and turned the car around to check it out and I was not disappointed. I ordered the toad in the hole and it was delicious the beef was cooked perfect. The staff was super friendly and the decor was like being home in a traditional pub. Never one to write reviews but this place really put a smile on my face today and a full belly!

Ordered the Tam O'shater cut, my wife order the California cut and father inlaw order English cut. All amazing order cooked to perfection. Got nachos and fish and chips as well and it's also amazing. They also do a small dessert for special occasion

We came here because we heard that it was one of Walt Disney's favorite restaurants. We ordered sandwiches while our friend ordered the prime rib (not shown). The sandwiches were dry and everything was under seasoned thus lacking a lot of flavor. It was a shame. The only saving grace was using horseradish and a side of scotch rarebit sauce on the sandwiches.

Had lunch with client there. Had the Prime rib and Toad in the hole. Tasty but it came cold. Service was OK due to large bus group that came in. And another patron would not take no for an answer if he couldnt find a plug. Thats probably why our food came cold. Expected better service and food for the price. Interior is old world Scottish charm. Saw the table where Walt Disney use to have service at! Make reservations!

What a cool place and another LA staple I never had the pleasure of going to before. The decor is 100% cool, the food was delicious (had the corned beef and cabbage), and the drinks were superb (had the caramel old fashioned). Parking is also available in the back lot. I just want to come back here for dinner with a group or sit by a lit fireplace. I just wish they stayed open past 9pm though.

Just as good as I remember. It’s been years since I’ve been here, but I grew up coming here often. I can’t rave about the prime rib enough. I wish I could just keep eating. They don’t need a big menu when they get everything right. They’ve been around 100 years for a reason. I hope they never change. Don’t shy away from ordering their sides or other entrees. Even their sandwiches are amazing.

The staff were awesome. Enjoyed drinks before dinner and the cozy cocktail area with the 'satellite' bar. Slight wait, since it was a busy night, but worth it. O m g, find me a ramp to roll me down to my car. The prince Charlie cut was very filling. Thankful to the server who suggested the creamed spinach. Wifey was thoroughly happy, I'd say the sticky toffee pudding could use more crunchy edges, since she only left me the soft center. Saving the last star for my next visit. Looking forward to another enjoyable evening soon.

Had a nice relaxing evening with family here. Loved the comfortable decor and history within this place and we were pleasantly surprised with our prime rib , Mac n cheese , and bone marrow selections. The deviled eggs while not on the menu are a must. We tried their old fashioned and some of their other specialty drinks and will definitely be back to do one of their scotch tastings that they offer.

Private event with 50 plus people. When you have that many people attending an event dinner nothing is going to be perfect.

Early dinner on a Tuesday and there were very few others in the indoor seating. Plenty of outdoor tables available as well. Our server shared some of the history of this venerable dining institution. It was peaceful and quiet inside, and the food was faultless. Server was friendly and attentive to all our needs, heading off a food allergy that we had told her about and that the chef "backstage" identified in one of the items ordered. It has been too long since my last visit, and it won't be this long until the next!

One of my favorite spots in LA. Interior decor is the most visually appealing of any place in LA, no cap. Creates a warm and festive atmosphere. Steaks are incredible

The food was great, we had Shishito peppers for an appetizer and the Tam O'Shanter cut prime rib for dinner. It's a neat place and was unique. We saw the Walt Disney booth that was cool too. The server was amazing!

We celebrated my mother-in-law's 70th birthday here, reserving the back room. It was a bit tight for the 18 of us, but we made it work. We chose prime rib as our entree from the prefixed menu. It was pretty good, though I'd say that I find the prime rib at Lawry's more flavorful. The side dishes were yummy as well as the dessert.
