I used to live by the reservoir and had the opportunity to jog around the reservoir every day. It's a 2.5 mile loop. I'd get an easy 5 mile jog every day. I felt I'd get to breath fresh air every day. There's a dog park as well. The reservoir went through some renovations recently and pics were taken few months ago. Parking is on the side of the street and is free. You can park and walk or jog around the reservoir.

A refuge from the city. Walk around the reservoir with your dog or hike up through the neighborhood from the Metro Station at Vermont. The dog park at the end of the reservoir is always busy on weekends. When you finish your walk you can stroll down through the neighborhood and stop at.any of the many restaurants and coffee shops along the way. This.is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Excellent Views, Perfect Field for using the Sky View App to view ...SL rocket bodies orbiting around Earth 🌏 Not to mention Falcons in the morning and evening hours & if you’re an Owl 🦉 lover, 2:30-4:30 am you can spot several of them daily...2.2 miles plus access to the Mattachine stairs at Cove..! On Saturday & Sunday “Wheelys Cafe” is a mobile cafe @ the larger dog park (finally) 🙂. YES they also have fresh dog treats too...!..

A great path for a run/walk. I believe it is just under 2.2 miles that is fairly flat except one section that offers a steep incline. Path is crushed stone, dirt, and cement. I also like that it is close to the Mattachine Steps for an extra workout. Although I don’t like the aesthetic of the fence there is very good reason for it. It’s a great city park to find some open sky/space in LA.

Uh, it’s a reservoir. What am I comparing it to? Other reservoirs? Well it’s no Lake Hollywood. There isn’t much shade on certain sides and it’s a dirt path all around it. Not sure why it isn’t concrete. It’s not like it’s soft grass and low impact for the runners. It’s still compacted earth. Would be nice if it had more water fountains around. Or ones that worked most of the time. But at least the Meadow is on one side, dog parks on another and the quaint recreation center area to chill at because most hipster like to sit in the meadow in the direct sunlight for some reason. I say let them.

Excellent place to get a good early morning jog before work or an evening jog to relax after a hard day's work. Good scenery, and virtually all who go are friendly.

If you are on the east side and want to be around nature and water while exercising, this is the spot to go. It’s a 2.2 mile loop and takes about 45 mins to complete. Great workout and people watching. Surrounded by some really fabulous homes if architecture is your thing, take your puppy and stop at the dog park. Or go up the back streets to find stair cases to climb and lots of hills to walk up. They even have jazz bands playing in the park on weekends!

Great views. A bit crowded at times. It has a great dog park, beautiful lake, and greenery .

Great place for a good walk. Scenic Silver Lake is a go to spot for speed walking, jogging, bicycling or a simple stroll. I unload stress on every visit.

You can hardly call this a lake. You cant even swim in it or nothing. It has no green just stone with water in it and a big iron fence around it. They should call it silver puddle instead cause its not used as a reservoir either.

This is such a beautiful spot suitable for evening or morning walks. I visited this place often in summer for walks and the vibe is so nice. Lots of people around and the community is so clean.

This is my favorite place to run at night when I need to get some miles in. There is always people walking around the reservoir. One of my favorite places!

Peaceful sunny walk along a beautiful huge lake... There were quite a few people out though (even for it being a Monday)

Given how busy this area is and how many people come here for outdoor recreation, they could make it a little less hideous. Or at least connect the path that goes around lol.

No bathrooms, only downside. Great for long distance running.
