I've
been
coming
to
this
gym
since
it
opened
20
years
ago.
I
was
here
before
they
added
the
2nd
level,
before
people
lined
the
machines
playing
on
their
phones,
before
they
installed
WI-FI,
even
before
most
of
the
employees
graduated
high
school.
Over
the
years,
I've
seen
a
steady
decline
in
the
quality
of
this
gym.
From
some
of
the
clientele
that
frequents
here
to
the
often
broken
down
and
worn
machines.
It
feels
like
management/corporate
is
satisfied
with
mediocre.
Some
of
the
TVs
are
functional
sometimes
and
even
when
they
are
you
can
bet
that
they
aren't
showing
any
support
for
the
local
LA
teams.
There's
rarely
any
hand
sanitizer
and
disinfecting
solution
despite
the
recent
pandemic.
Even
more
rare
is
the
visibility
of
their
employees
doing
anything
except
for
chatting
it
up
at
the
front
desk.
It
can,
at
times,
be
a
free
for
all
with
people
going
shirtless,
publicly
displaying
affection,
or
my
personal
favorite;
the
cirque
de
soleil
performances.
It
isn't
much
to
ask
for
their
employees
to
clean
up
a
little
and
help
organize
the
equipment,
or
to
ensure
that
the
equipment
is
functional,
or
to
make
sure
there's
ways
to
disinfect
ourselves
and
wipe
down
the
sweaty
equipment.
It
would
be
amazing
if
they
actually
had
working
AC
so
that
I
didn't
feel
like
I
was
working
out
in
the
sauna.
In
a
perfect
world,
all
I
would
have
to
worry
about
visiting
here
are
the
unsightly
crocs
people
wear
to
the
gym,but
that
isn't
the
case.
I
still
have
to
be
exposed
to
that
along
with
the
many
other
complaints
that
come
with
a
membership
here.
I
will
still
keep
coming
here
out
of
mere
convenience
and
the
fact
that
I
primarily
do
MMA
at
a
different
gym,
but
it
would
be
a
lot
more
pleasant
if
these
issues
were
added
because
I
know
the
rates
will
be
going
up
and
we
still
won't
see
the
results
that
we
all
want.
