Broken
Mouth
is
located
in
a
slightly
sketchy
location
so
we
were
worried
when
we
parked
our
car
on
the
street.
Aside
from
that,
it's
like
a
food
hall
where
there
are
multiple
food
vendors
and
an
open
cafeteria
seating
set-up.
It
was
our
first
time
trying
Broken
Mouth
so
the
owner
made
us
some
recommendations
and
even
offered
us
2
Lilikoi
cans
which
is
a
famous
soda
(?)
in
Hawaii!
Beef
Plate:
This
comes
with
Hawaii's
Meat
Jun
which
is
egg-battered
ribeye
beef
slices.
It's
served
with
the
meat
jun
sauce,
purple
rice,
&
Korean
greens.
The
meat
jun
is
just
so
creative,
unique,
&
delicious
that
you're
left
satisfied
after
eating
this
meal.
The
egg
batter
around
the
beef
can
get
soggy
if
you
get
it
to
go/delivered
so
I
recommend
eating
it
at
the
food
hall
if
you
can.
We
poured
the
sauce
all
over
the
meat
and
left
a
bit
for
dipping.
Everything
was
so
good
as
individual
components
and
as
a
whole
dish.
The
flavors
&
textures
have
all
been
perfected.
I
don't
understand
how
purple
rice
can
be
this
soft
(but
not
mushy)
and
so
tasty
on
its
own.
Then
you
have
the
Korean
greens
to
just
balance
everything
out.
Shrimp
Plate:
This
plate
comes
with
5
pieces
of
Kahuka-style
garlic
butter
shrimp,
purple
rice,
&
Korean
greens.
These
were
the
best,
juiciest
garlic
butter
shrimps
I've
ever
had.
The
garlic
and
butter
ratio
was
on
point
and
so
flavorful.
Definitely
need
to
come
back
to
try
the
spam
musubi
next!

Overall:
4.3/5
(08-05-2023
Doordash
group
delivery)
We
put
in
a
huge
order
via
Doordash
for
our
Hard
Summer
pre-game
party.
Unfortunately
the
food
wasn't
as
amazing
as
the
other
times
we
had
it
and
it's
enough
to
drop
the
rating
down
half
a
star.
Hawaii's
Meat
Jun
(Beef):
Still
the
best
bowl
here.
The
beef
is
just
so
flavorful,
tender,
and
always
cooked
to
perfection.
We
got
half
purple
rice
and
salad.
Unfortunately
the
purple
rice
wasn't
as
good
for
all
bowls
this
time
around
too.
Teri
Chicken:
A
lot
of
the
pieces
were
burnt
on
the
surface
and
it
wasn't
as
juicy
as
I
was
hoping
for
chicken
thighs.
Shrimp:
These
garlic
butter
shrimps
were
good
but
are
much
better
when
eaten
fresh
in
person.
I
also
don't
like
that
the
shrimps
have
their
shells
on
since
I
hate
eating
them,
eating
around
them,
or
peeling
them
off.
Potato-Mac
Salad:
This
is
definitely
my
preferred
potato
Mac
salad.
Not
overly
creamy
and
doesn't
taste
heavy.
Cucumber
Kimchi:
Oh
my
goodness
these
were
addicting!
My
husband
and
I
loved
this
so
much,
I
think
we
could
eat
one
portion
each!
A
must
have
side
:)
Spam
Musubi:
I
was
really
excited
to
try
this
since
our
cousin
was
raving
about
it
but
it
was
sorely
disappointing
and
the
least
tastiest
item
we
tried.
______
The
owner
Tim
truly
stands
behind
his
food
and
cares
about
customer
satisfaction.
He
reached
out
to
me
after
my
review
and
offered
to
make
it
right.
He
decided
to
remake
the
3
items
I
wasn't
satisfied
with
and
have
me
re-try
them
on
the
house.
We
had
a
nice
chat
in
person
as
well.
I
can
definitely
see
why
Broken
Mouth
continues
to
be
on
Yelp's
top
lists
in
multiple
categories.
Spam
Musubi:
It's
much
better
than
the
last
time
in
terms
of
flavor
but
a
tad
bit
salty.
There
was
also
a
bit
too
much
rice
for
my
liking
but
not
a
big
deal.
Garlic
Butter
Shrimp
Plate:
So
I
found
out
that
you
can
ask
for
your
shrimp
to
be
deshelled.
I
definitely
liked
it
a
lot
better
since
I
feel
like
it
really
soaks
up
all
the
garlic
butter
flavor.
Definitely
the
umami
bomb
I
remember
when
I
first
had
it.
The
purple
rice
also
soaks
up
the
butter
so
there's
more
of
a
consistent
flavor
with
this
plate.
Teri
Chicken:
It's
a
generous
portion
of
chicken
thighs
so
we
had
a
little
bit
left
over.
They
were
grilled
beautifully
this
time
and
were
so
tasty,
it
was
hard
to
control
myself.
There
was
a
good
amount
of
salad
too
so
it
helped
balance
out
the
chicken.
