It’s a good location but try not to come from 3-8pm, it’s over run with teenagers and you won’t get to use any weight training equipment for the entire time. If this is your only time to exercise I highly recommend another gym. There’s only a very limited amount of weight equipment anyways. Hope this helps people from wasting their time.

First Day at the YMCA and IT WAS AMAZING!! Payment for Teen Adult is 24.99 per month (I went to check out the pool and the girls locker room was amazing beautiful big mirror with extentions to hair dyers and then a dyers for your wet clothes , changing rooms and lockers ) This place is everything i need to be de-stressed. People in the front are really amazing and sweet (Shout-out to Nancy!!) THE PICTUREZ BELOW WHERE THE BOTTOM PLACE WHERE STARBUCKS IS

I am visiting from out of town and the employees were beyond friendly and got me signed in quickly as a visiting member. The YMCA members who were working out were also friendly and inviting. The equipment seems old and the building could use a bit of a facelift, but they had a lot of equipment to use. The also had a nice basketball court and racquetball courts which were in great condition.

In the heart of downtown, the Ketchum Los Angeles YMCA is in a perfect location for the office and residential crowd in the area. It has lots of parking available downstairs with a huge and well-maintained gym. Considering the prices at neighboring gyms, the YMCA is a great option. And the proceeds go to help underprivileged kids and families in downtown Los Angeles.

Never had such a horrible experience at a gym before, not just at this location but at all YMCAs in Los Angeles (and the one in San Diego for that matter). Every time I’m here I’m either harassed or some facility doesn’t work, like more than one time the power went out while I was swimming and they kicked everyone out. The space is a dirty wreck, the staff are always in a bad mood and extremely unhelpful (plus they give inaccurate info) and they close at weird hours all the time for no reason. Why is the pool always closed? I just wanted to work out, man. I was a member for 3 months and they probably took years off my life from all the stress.

I love this gym. It has the most wholesome vibes and people are always helping each other out in the weights rooms. I joined for the pool because it's beautiful. But I've stayed for the big windows overlooking LA, the nice people, the good equipment and the classes (especially joes power yoga). This is the first time I've joined a gym and actually go regularly.

Water fountain been out of order for weeks . Drink machine always empty. Weights missing, staff don’t know much info. A gym fundamental is water and no hydration station, I was told to take an elevator to floor 3 for a fountain . They always film there , so you can have days when you either can not exit or arrive . This is an Honest observation , just stating the facts . Fall 2022-

Probably the best YMCA ever. You take the elevator to the roof so you will not deal with too many homeless. Most days there are no homeless in this area. They open at 5:30. I wish they open at 5 but still a great time to open so you can work out and head to work after. Great equipment!!

This location is convenient. The facilities are modern. The pool leaves much to be desired. It's a lap pool that is three foot deep. They offer additional locker services and a "spa" separate from the steam room and the sauna. It's cool. The hours are a bit limited.

Usually a great gym to go to. Very spacious, three floors, large locker rooms, plenty of machines, but only one standard bench for bench presses. This last time I went, the hot tub AND steam room were both down, and the dry sauna wasn't getting as hot as I remember it in the past. I barely worked up a sweat.

Decent workout equipment. Sad that the Jacuzzi is constantly out of order. Even before the pandemic the Jacuzzi was always a issue. There is also a smell of mold in the locker room and bathroom areas. The staff is super nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Cheaper than Gold's and not as pretentious.

Very happy with my decision to join Ketchum-Downtown YMCA after being with 24hr fitness for 20 years. Large, clean facility with all of the amenities that you could possibly enjoy. The facility inspires me to workout more often which is a great plus. Highly recommended!

🎶YMCA🎶 such a quant treasure in the middle of downtown LA. There's nothing better than a pool 🏊‍♀️ with lifeguards!! Water fitness is my favorite class. It doesn't matter who I workout with, as long as it's low impact on the knees. There's room between all machines🏋️and they close for an hour to clean everything due to COVID-19. Tai Chi Chuan is another 💎 gem in this amazing gym. I never expected to find a Tai Chi 🗡️ Sword network. I would say, the only thing old are the lockers.😊

This ymca has so much more potential! Everything is pretty much up to date! Especially the views at night !! Downfalls are PARKING, can be expensive since it uses a public lot. Also the HOURS SUCK! If this gym can be open literally 24 hours. This gym would be such a game changer. And have for-sure more consumers.

Have been sick this month. On dec 2nd I requested to pause my membership for December because I don’t want to spread my sickness. On December 7th I got a respond to my request saying it was too late to pause for December. I told them I requested it on the 2nd day of the month. Still no luck and I’m out $90 now.

This facility is not clean. Nor was the staff helpful. I asked if they were going to give me a tour of the facility and they looked at me as if I lost my mind. I then informed them that I would explore the facility by myself and walked away.

Great community space. Classes are well paced by instructors and everyone is very friendly. Best to avoid peak times.

Happy with the staff, and facilities are good, though the clientele (gym users) are on the whole unsavory.
