When I was young, the road going up to Agila Base was a mix of dirt road and trails. Now it's all concrete which is sad for us trail enthusiasts and mountain bikers. Definitely an unnecessary project of the government to earn kickbacks..

Forested and shaded trail that is great for hiking or trail running!

Interestingness - There are many things to do in the park, from exploring mud springs to a full-blown hike to the peak. Trails - These are clear and easy to tread. Campsite - There are several campsites sites have good facilities. There are toilets and shower rooms in the campsite and faucets and sinks for washing cookware. Water is readily available. Temperatures are nice and cool even in the summer.

The place has a calming effect. The tall trees surrounding you. The breath of fresh air never fails.

Mt. Makiling is one of my favorite mountains to climb, in spite of the blood leeches (limatik). It's one of the mountains in the south that's well-preserved so you get to see a lot of flora and fauna. Also, its forest protects you from the sun even during the hottest months of summer. So, even if it doesn't have a 360 degree view at its summit, I keep coming back. :-)

We were here on 11 may 2022. We could only go to the forest reservation, the summit was closed. We had to be back at 2 pm. We had to register at least a day before.

Me and my friend walked up to station 8, we weren't able to see till Station 11, unfortunately. We had a long estimated ~ 3.5km walk, the scenery is picturesque, and soothing. If you like this kind of tranquility, then it this is the easy mode for that, since most trail is already cemented. Though there are still some trails left untouched. Be sure to ready your water, snacks, and money for entrance fee.
