Absolutely outstanding view from the balcony. I would highly recommend to everyone booking this hotel to get the option with the superior double room because these rooms are located on the highest floors and the view is stunning. I wouldn't say it is necessary to have an A/C in March but definitely needed for the summer month. Perfect location, less than 2 minutes walking from the beach and restaurants. Food in the restaurant is what to expect from an all-inclusive, huge variety. It is beneficial that there is a show cook who prepares omelettes in the morning and some basic meats in the evening.

Stayed for 7 nights, lovely hotel very clean but very tired, needs a little updating in rooms and with soft furnishings and fittings. Food on half board very good, plenty of choice for every one but often hot food choices only tepid not hot. Plenty of seafood and salad options and all sorts of different fruits on offer and same for desserts. Evening entertainment also good. Would definitely reccommend as only 200 yards from sea front and promenade and not too far from all shops.

Apart from check in where the computer system was down and the guy was stressed, he come across as grumpy but being in the industry I can understand. Rooms are spotless. Staff are very polite and respectful. Food is very nice. I booked half board but after 3 day upgraded to all inclusive. I will stay here again. I have no idea about negative reviews but I work in the industry and know no matter how good you place and services are you will always get people who love to complain. I have had great time here. I will stay again and I will tell my friends to stay here.

Just got back from the Sol Arona after a 10 day stay. Initially we weren't too sure about the hotel but we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was on the twelfth floor and the view was outstanding. The room could do with being upgrading slightly but no complaints even though we had no air-conditioning which we didn't miss. We had booked in for bed and breakfast which was superb. The pool area was excellent very clean and always plenty of beds available. We found plenty of lovely restaurants in the area. Would definitely go back.

I loved it here. Staff are friendly especially and professional Mila, Pacheco and Victor, even when their English was not very good....and why should it be? The food was great quality and somewhat varied. The rooms were fabulous with fantastic view of the sea and pool. The hotel had so many return visitors who have spent many visits there. They said it was always as good as we found it to be.

We’ve stayed at this hotel 4 times now and unfortunately it has really gone downhill. Yes the facilities are fab- there’s a good sized adult pool and also a small pool for children, a little mini market store, an on-site gym, games rooms and a nice little bar. However the restaurant is extremely repetitive- pretty much the same stuff each night. Yes there’s lots of different food that covers most cultures however it’s the same food each day which gets quite boring- especially if your staying more than a week like we were. The rooms are also really quite dated and run down. There were a total of 3 plug sockets throughout the room- none of which near mirrors. However the cleanliness was top l notch! The cleaners visited each day to make the beds and provide you with fresh towels. The hotel is quite close to shops and the sea which is a positive. However the entertainment at night has fully gone downhill, but if your not too fussed about your room/food/ evening entertainment then the sol Arona is a good hotel to stay at!

This Hotel was recommended to our Family, from previous guests! We loved it, exactly what we expected for our vacation. Very polite check in, food amazing couldn't decide on so much food variety for breakfast and dinner, staff very polite always with a smile to welcome us and cleaning our tables until we finish eating. Swimming activities were awesome, lots of fun. Other fun activities for families with kids, that was so needed! Suit bedroom with balcony was always clean and fresh, with a view to the city, and so close to the beach, so polite cleaning staff. Although it needs some refurbishment, we totally recommend!

The food was excellent, I can't recommend it enough on the food. The room we had was a bit small but we didn't spend much time on it. The staff were very good on the most part specially the 2 Cuban chaps. Needs more sun loungers and a better water dispenser

Hassle free Package holiday Resort Jet2 Holidays Preferred Resort - 3 Star 2 Adults + 2 Children - Half Board - Xmas at the hotel Family hotel with large proportion of older folks. Reception ------------------ Always manned 24x7 It was always busy. They have enough staff but preference is given to people checking in and we have to queue if we have a small query or need some quick assistance The staff is always eager to help and provides good resolutions when they can All your queries can be sorted through the reception Room ----- Excellent Well maintained room with beach view balcony 4 single beds in two bedrooms TV + Remote Kettle + Cups Good seating with Sofa and chair Clean toilet with Bath Room cleaned every day with fresh sheets and towels Excellent storage area Couple of electric sockets all working Accessibility -------------------------- Ramp access is a available through out the resort to cater for older and people with walking difficulties 4 lifts available but since the hotel has around 20 floors its very slow during peak times and will have to wait for longer periods. Restaurant ---------------------- Excellent arry of food and drinks Ample seating with Staff all round The Xmas spread was just out of the world Meat and fish lovers will adore this place Live kitchen during breakfast and dinner for fish and meat and egg The quantity is massive but it might not up the quality tree for everyone I thoroughly enjoyed the spread with salads and breads. Facilities ------------------- Stage available with ample seating indoor and outdoor for Live Shows at night and entertainment for kids. But the shows are not as vivid and jazzy as you see in big resorts but something to keep you occupied. There is something happening every day! Table tennis and pool tables available Arcade games available Small Gym with essential basic training facilities available A fully fledged mini market within the resort for all your needs - excellent service. The lady is so helpful There is enough sun beds available around the pool and in the 1st floor. Didn't see any massive rush to book these although it wasn't the peak summer period The only let down in this resort is freaking COLD swimming pools both adult and child. Fully manned bar is available at different points. Mini golf available Service -------------- All the staff are very helpful and always willing to engage in finding solutions to any of your problems Location -------------------- Close vicinity to all the places - beach, market, bars and restaurants All coaches stop just outside the hotel including for Siam Water park, Jungle Park

Some of the worst staff i have experienced. No air con. No fridge in room. Toilets smell next to bar. Food was great. Drinks not very good. Very good for ease of getting to beach, supermarket, and more livelier pubs opposite direction to beach

It's 23:00 and it's a loud concert in the front of the hotel, to the bar of the swimming pool. I close the windows but I feel like in a club. No A/C and it's very hot in the room, like in a sauna and I can not open window, it's too loud. I tried to call the reception to ask when music will finish but nobody answer. If you look to relax or you have children, avoid this hotel.

Budget hotel.....great for the cost cutting Brits . Would I stay here again.....no. Walls are paper thin and can hear noise from next door and above. Get a room nearer the carpark entrance to the hotel and not at the back of the hotel...the delivery trucks will wake U at 7am. No water given to you if your half board . You can't have any drink at all...U less U pay. Even water..! Got that fed up went to another hotel for 2 days just to get a good sleep and nice room. Don't know how this hotel got three stars. Rooms are tired and bathroom smells.. not for me ....sorry.

My daughter and her partner arrived here today. Room is dreadful. Bath was filthy, room tiny, no plug sockets. Needs decorating badly Asked to move rooms and told it would be another 30€ a night. No chance Food dreadful ( she sent me a photo and it looks appalling). Looks nothing like the pictures. Really scruffy dirty place with rude staff. Drinks really overpriced also

Great location, nice place to stay and really friendly service and staff, not easy with the coronavirus situation, everyone wore masks, and my room was cleaned every day, brilliant cleaning service, they work hard to maintain a safe environment, will stay again next year.

Absolutely satisfied! The pictures are real, the hotel is old but very good and clean, it offers a good product. Room cleaning, reception and the restaurant personal, everyone of those people are helpful and very friendly. For the breakfast and the dinner just one word - amazing! Thank you very much! We will be come back again 😊 definitely.

We stayed here for three days. Next time we would come here outside of August as very full with families so the pool was a no go and breakfast time certainly a challenge. Overall though, the hotel was very clean and the food excellent. Out room overlooked the beach and so we had the luxury of witnessing the sunsets.

Shockingly poor! Bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The room didn't have air conditioning - in 26C weather. Basic motels have this. Ridiculous. Staff were unfriendly throughout and left a poor woman stuck in an elevator for several hours. I thought Melia was a good hotel brand but wow was I wrong.

Although the hotel has approximately 300 rooms there is always sunbeds available. Staff very friendly and helpful although with only the pool bar open and usually only one staff serving getting a drink could be a wait. Really good choice and quality of good for all tastes.

Great stay we had in this hotel. Everything was always clean normally (other than the rinsed cups from housekeeping and slight lack of tea etc). Breakfast was tasty, but seemed a bit manic when it came to getting a table. It was just letting in as many people and scrambling to find a table. I would advise going earlier rather than later to make it a nicer experience. Very close to the seafront for food and nice walks. We would stay here again as it seemed good value for the money. We had an xtra room and a great view too.

The hotel is situated near the beach about 5 mins walk. If you walk further along there is a bigger beach. Sea Water is a lot warner than the hotel pool. Lovely and clear. The rooms are cleaned every day the beds are comfortable and bedding crisp and white. Clean bright white towels. Pool towel provided in room. as is the hotel. Nice location. We paid extra for a family room as there is a kettle provided and a fridge. The food is ok and there is a choice. The food can be a bit cold would be good if microwave provided in evening as well as the morning. . If you go early it is better... The pool area could be cleaner because too many flies are attracted to spilt drinks that arnt cleaned up. Not lilos are allowed in main pool or ball games Staff are very pleasant. We had a great holiday, entertainment was very good, overall enjoyed it for a three star hotel couldn't expect more.

We enjoyed our holiday here but the accommodation is basic (or at least it was when we visited in November 2022) The room we were allocated was small and got very hot and humid (even in autumn). Our housekeeper was very friendly and always said hello with a smile, we enjoyed talking to her and she genuinely seems like a lovely lady who enjoys her job however this was not the case with the reception team and I didn’t feel comfortable asking them questions about the resort or any general inquiry as they appeared miserable and as if it was an effort to help. We stayed on a bed & breakfast basis and this was fine, it set us up for the morning. Pool area was adequate and clean, the housekeeping team do a really good job with the outside and public areas. My personal recommendation would be to avoid a pool view room and ask for a higher floor because we were allocated a room on the first floor adjacent to the outside bar area and the music and entertainment carried on until well past midnight and it was very very noisy. Overall, facilities and services are basic but I would stay again if the room rate was justifiable but only on a B&B basis.

Beds not comfortable. Hotel was immaculately clean and the cleaning staff were both pleasant and courteous. The breakfast was excellent though the restaurant was extremely cool with windows open and fans circulating so extra layers were required - this may have been in an effort to reduce covid risk. The sunbathing facilities were good.

Good hotel, rooms are very dated but functional, nice grounds with good pools nice stage area and a good outside bar. Evening entertainment was varied. We upgraded from half board to all inclusive the restaurant was a good size and the quality and the quantity was good. Short 10 minute walk to the beach area, If the rooms were updated and modernised, then this would have got more stars

Older building, wear shows. Efficient service in breakfast restaurant. Selection was good in general, but unfortunately food was quite tasteless. I would not recommend all inclusive based on breakfast, but maybe Lunch, dinner and free drinks would be tasty for someone. Pool was smaller than I expected, but otherwise nice. Location near beach, some good restaurants and easy car access to tf-1. Plenty of free parking space!

Rooms were great and the location was brilliant. The view from the balcony was incredible as you could see the sea and whole town from my side of the hotel. The pool and activities were brilliant however very crowded as expected in the summer holidays, you definitely need to get down early to get a sun bed. Food was generally pretty good, it was buffet style and there was lots of selection. My only few complaints would be the lack of air con not just in the rooms but in public areas as well, the dining room was always stifling as all they had were a few useless fans on the ceiling which moved so slowly that they created no airflow. When we asked about air con in the rooms they said we could hire a fan for €30 but it did little except cycle the hot air around. My other issue was with the divide between all inclusive guests and those just with food included, we only had food and that meant that at dinner the staff were particularly rude to us regarding drinks. Multiple people got told off for using the “all inclusive water” and we instead had to wait until half way through our meal when one of the few servers would ask us if we wanted drinks and would bring over a small jug of tap water which tasted very chlorinated and we had read online that was not always safe to drink. Due to this we instead started buying water and brought our own into dinner since we weren’t allowed theirs but were made to keep our bottles under the table as they “weren’t from the restaurant and shouldn’t be brought in”. However since they refused to give us potable water we didn’t see another option. Other than this, staff were reasonably friendly and would book taxis for us every night and the pool activity instructors were particularly great. For the price and location I would recommend but recommend going all inclusive and upgrading to a room with air con particularly if it’s very hot.

Nice hotel, good choice of food and drinks. Kids entertainment was excellent. Evening entertainment was ok. Only the pool bar was open making it a bit if a walk if you wanted to sit inside and usually only one staff serving. There was no hotel information showing the layout of pools and facilities plus check out times. However we would return for a Tenerife holiday to this hotel.

I was alone on this vacation but I was very satisfied. The hotel is 3 stars but it is remarkably clean, the towels are changed every day in the rooms. I would just like to note that in business any spoken language is accepted; English is an international language, anyone can speak it; Italian is spoken very easily in this hotel. The pool is very clean and the cocktails are very well prepared. I'm sorry, but I can only give the restaurant 3 stars, even though in the last 3 days I stayed, a major change (for the better) was seen. The kitchen chefs 10 stars. I saw samosa, lasagna, fish on a bed of potatoes, etc. Recommend.

Overall we had a nice stay at the hotel. Weather was lovely and the walk from the hotel to the beach was 5 minutes. We booked for bed& breakfast however was highly disappointed with the range of food we had to eat out most mornings. Room was very outdated and found that the housekeepers would only clean if you put a sign on your door… we received new towels everyday but found that some towels had holes in them. The bathroom also didn’t get wiped down& cleaned. The floor was also very dusty and dirty meaning they didn’t sweep or mop the floor. Prior to this we found as we were packing our things away the night before my partners swim shorts were taken and informed the hotel reception about this. They weren’t helpful at all and just presumed they were took with the laundry& they would check through it. On day of check out there was still no update so had to leave without finding the shorts (may I also add these were an expensive pair of swim shorts)& are unhappy with the lack of laziness from the housekeeping. The pool area was nice and the pool was fairly clean however wasn’t maintained throughout the day and leaves would be in the pool.

Our stay at Sol Arona Tenerife over the past week has been absolutely fantastic. The Xtra double rooms are highly recommended and were a brilliant choice for our special trip away. Great added goodies. Pool is lovely and sea view + mountain view from the balcony was breathtaking. Great rotating breakfast choice for freshness. Rooms were cleaned to a great standard. Staff all around were friendly. Shop downstairs hotel basement is a life saver, great choice of everything you need. Would just wish for maybe more golf clubs for the mini golf as we missed our chance when it got busy. Will definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again

I am on my last night (8 nights all inclusive) and I am VERY sad to leave. What an amazing hotel definitely deserves more than 3*. The food is fantastic, the variety each day is impressive and there is so much of it! The drinks are amazing too beer and wine on tap to help yourself and soft drinks and water always available at different parts of the hotel. We had a huge room - Arona room with Lounge I couldn’t believe how spacious it was and we had a lovely balcony that overlooked the pool and the sea. The hotel is very clean both inside and outside by the pool area which is great. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels etc. We hired a fan for the week as there is no air con or fan in the room we chose, which cost £30 euros and it was well worth it! The location is perfect 2 min walk to the beach and all the shops- free bus for Siam park right outside the front of the hotel! A taxi to Las Americas cost us €5.10 - the taxis are everywhere and reception always happy to call one to pick up from outside hotel. Entertainment was good - something different each night. The thing that made the hotel stand out for me was the staff. They are so friendly and helpful and really good at their jobs. I want to say a thank you to Nestor and Adam in the restaurant- it’s busy in there and they always had a smile on their face whilst cleaning LOTS of tables :). The pool is cold but I think that is down to the weather we had whilst here (very cloudy). My only complaint is that the beds were two separate which meant they slid apart in the night. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Tenerife, we had an amazing week thank you!

We stayed for 2 weeks all inclusive in August 2022, the food is excellent and plenty of variety, all staff are friendly and hard working. The hotel Is close to the beach and an excellent choice of bars, restaurants and shops. The room is cleaned daily, beds made and fresh towels when needed. The hotel could do with more tables and chairs around the entertainment area as some guests had to sit on the sunbeds next to the pool. The Hotel put on different activities most days in the pool including a foam party, water runner and inflatable assault course. The lifeguards monitored the sunbeds and removed Towels if beds were unused for an hour which is a brilliant idea as you do get people reserving several beds in the morning and not returning until late afternoon.

One of the largest and nicest hotels on the island. Very nice and professional staff. The restaurant exceeded all expectations and pleasantly surprised with the assortment and quality of cooking. The cost of living is quite reasonable and reasonable. Hotel prosperity.

Guys do you seriously think that playing cheap and unprofessional gigs every night for a bunch of guest at a level of a massive stadium is acceptable? We a large group staying in several rooms and to be honest I am shocked how loud the entertainment is. What is the point of playing so loud? Do you think that people sitting near the pool won't hear the gig if you play at a normal level? Or do you think all guests must hear in their rooms until 11pm every flipping evening? Seriously ? What is wrong with the management of this place?

The Sol Arona is a three star hotel in Los Christianos. We booked it as the rooms looked nice and the hotel had decent reviews on booking.com and is fairly close to the beach. The thing we really liked was the staff are really friendly and polite. The hotel room was immaculately clean and we had a giant bed. We were also upgraded to a huge room, albeit on the 13th floor, so quite high! Amazing views but not for those with vertigo! The restaurant food was also very good - buffet style, with a good selection at breakfast and dinner, including salad bar, starters, cooled options, a fresh grill and desserts. The chefs also got me soya milk and offered to make me a non dairy dessert :) In term of amenities, the hotel has a big gym with lots of weights machines and a treadmill, a mini arcade, mini golf, pool, a kids playground and an adults and kids swimming pool. The main pool is lovely. Whilst it's not huge it gets the sun all day and there were plenty of beds. You can also rent beach towels from reception during your stay. In terms of areas for improvement? It's a 1970s building and it's not pretty from the outside! On the inside, it could basically do with modernising (new bathrooms, paint, pictures, furniture ..). With a little bit of investment, this hotel could be really lovely, possibly even four star... That said, if you're looking for a bargain stay, with nice people, nice food, close to the beach with a pool, you'll be sorted.

Worst hotel I've been to. Superior room not superior its a bedsit without a fridge or kettle a dump. And food is cold and no choice for kids even though base themselves as a family hotel it's vile. They discriminate British people but want the money. Cockroach everywhere infested and bad customer service from certain staff. Nothing is up and running it's all on for show never is this place a 4* it's more a 2 or 3 at a push save your money and go elsewhere

Very good breakfast. 😊Friendly staff at the reception. Good location close to restaurants. Great to have a walk by the beach. 8 minutes by foot from the bus stop (bus from Tenerife South airport) the only downside was the big bug that showed up in our room.

Good + communication with the hotel is good + the breakfast is surprisingly good + large rooms + clean overall Depending on what you like ~ the location is in a noisy tourist party area ~ the clientele is very boozy, party kids and casual pool hangouts ~ the interior is very simple and plain ~ there's evening entertainment Bad - the check in process is just too long and there's just one person responsible for it. We waited for check in half an hour and had 2 parties in front of us. Later I saw a queue of at least 6 parties. - the furniture in the room is old and very basic.
