At dawn and dusk breathtaking views of Albuquerque, Corrales and the Sandias can be captured. In the Crepuscular hours you may see Coyotes hunting, Cooper's Hawks perching and Gambels Quail scurrying around. Roadrunners and Jack rabbits are also seen on a regular basis. There is little to no shade once the sun comes up so grab a hat and put on sunscreen if you're going to be out for any length of time. I carry water if I plan on being out for more than two miles in the sun.

One of the best views on the west side in Rio Rancho! Perfect place for balloon watching as well as spotting migrating Canadian geese and sandhill cranes!

Pretty cool. Amazing views. It can be hot, but otherwise it’s a nice short little walk. Good place to just talk with friends or maybe go out to eat/have a picnic.

Whenever I want to catch one of our beautiful sunrises, I always head to the Thompson fenceline trail. The overlook there is simply stunning! It's also a beautiful place to walk and it's great for watching the action from the balloon fiesta if the north winds are friendly! I have been coming here for over 20 years, and it never disappoints!!! Their hiking trails are phenomenal and breathtaking! Dint take my word for it, this is something you just gotta see for yourself!! Its a beautiful place to check out in the evening when the sandia mountains turn watermelon-y too!!

πŸ‘ disc golf review only. 9 holes. short course ~24 minutes to play it all. 1 hole over 400 and a few over 300. bring a midrange disc. OB is generally the road or someones back yard with a brick fench. hole 3 and * is near play park so might have to wait a few minutes for the kids to clear away....
