We were so impressed with our stay at this hotel. We stayed on a Tuesday night - so it was not busy but we did not expect how quiet it would be! It was awesome! We stayed in the King Suite - it was spacious, spotless and comfortable. Beautiful room. I’ll be honest - I’ve not been in a hotel so clean! Not a spec of dust anywhere!!! Kudos to the staff! Everyone was so nice as well! From the hotel staff, to the food service staff to the slot attendant! We will definitely be back. Thank you for making our stay so restful! As for the casino - it was extremely clean. Hit like any other casino. Anytime you can play for hours and walk out about even is a great day!

All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was just fantastic. Very clean and spacious. The shower were awesome, did take a little bit longer than I would like for the hot water to start but it eventually did and it was fine after that

If you win it will be very little, play for entertainment not profit. We have lost the last three times we've been there. Last year before the new hotel the machines would at least allow you to win and we did , now it's almost impossible to get any bonus and if you do it's small. In our opinion it seems like they are paying for the hotel however, they are hurting their business by having the machines way too tight. The casino was almost empty , word gets around fast. The good news is they did an incredible job with the extensions it's very very nice , huge, the food is very good, customers service is still excellent. Smoke free completely separate from smoking smells very clean looks immaculate. Beautiful hotel rooms. We suggest try the weekend for better odds (maybe) if you walk in and it's quiet that should be your first clue to leave you won't win.

First time visiting. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The gaming area had all types of slot machines 🎰, and you can play any amount starting with one cent! Didn't try the food, but the menu looks ok. There is no shortage of drinks. Stay hydrated while you play! 😆 😊

Hotel room is beautiful. The location is not ideal. The slot machines do not payout. We left there after losing money. Then, stopped by The Mint in Bowling Green on the way home. We won all our money back. If you want to win, then I do not recommend Derby Gaming.

I stayed at the hotel as a holiday party and it was very nice! The room was big and cleaner than some I've been to. The service was very professional and personal, for what it is, it's a very inviting place. I got to eat at the chop house, and the food was surprisingly good! I am a picky eater, and I enjoyed a lot more than I expected at fancy diners. Though the price of staying and the cost of eating this is a place for the very luxurious and if it wasn't for me being a part of a party then I wouldn't have ever came here honestly. I'm not personally a big fan of the main event at the hotel, which is why most go, so I won't talk much on that portion. To me, the main 'gaming' is what's expected if you like that sort of thing.

First off I want to share that my room was beautiful it was clean smell good when you came to the hallway but I have a few negative things I would like to say first and foremost the check-in was horrible I felt rushed by the person that was checking me in he proceeded to ask me was this my first time being at the hotel I said yes but he never told me anything about the hotel I would like to know more about what type of experience I would have had I felt rushed when I was trying to pay for the room he was talking too fast he was rushing me to pay he never said have a good day. Secondly it was hard to communicate with the housekeepers on my floor because of the language barrier every time I ask for towels they said they speak no English we have to get a little better with that because communication is important I should not have to called down to the front desk to ask for extra towels or wash cloths when I seen the housekeeper on the floor. third of all my problem with the room was it was cold the whole stay thermostat was not acting right it had a message on there saying something about control you all need to fix that because that is important nobody should have to freeze when they're paying their money plus the thermostat kept going from heat to cold but other than that I really enjoyed the Chop House the staff was friendly and nice food was delicious

The room was very nice, the staff was very friendly and professional. We had a great time and will certainly go back! I did think the breakfast should have been included with the hotel room, I thought it was a bit pricey for what was offered at the buffet for breakfast. But overall we had a great stay!

We all know when we walk in here we're not walking out millionaires. I really do enjoy this place so much so I can't stay away!! It's definitely a great place to travel to if in Louisville Kentucky. It's fun very clean. The security is A+ the staff are all friendly!! It's a great place to have drinks watch sports live, enjoy live bands , possibility of hiring some extra money 🤑 we needed this place. So many people are coming out now to get the opportunity to enjoy the night life . The hotel is extremely nice, it's nice to see a business thriving so well in Kentucky!! Thank you for all that you do!!

My boyfriend and I just recently discovered this place (a little over a week ago) and for once I’m definitely not mad we have spent so much time at a casino. This one has kept him and I on a winning streak since day 1. It’s a really nice casino… only complaint I’d have is they have a lot of the same games throughout. No older spinners. Which we love. So that’s a bummer but other than that the place is PERFECT. It definitely pays to come here. And the hotel rooms are amazing and definitely worth the $150-$265 you’d spend on a king suite, Top floor😁(these are weekend rates… not sure of pricing during the week but probably cheaper like other hotels)

I've not stayed at the hotel portion as I'm local, but the gaming experience is nice. They have high roller areas split from the rest. Offer a fountain station of soda as well as venues for drinks and food. Penny slots are great! Folks seem friendly. Bathrooms are clean!

Great place to play! Non smoking is great. Plenty of games and self serve drinks. Very clean . Only negative was when checking out on 11/10. Lady at hotel desk never made eye contact. No one was in line or at counter. Walk up and stood there . Lady never said anything. Finally I said checking out. She never looked at me, only asked 2 questions and looked out the front doors while asking if everything was ok. Other than that it's a great place to stay .

I used to dread when my friend would ask me to here as I never ever won. Each time I left disappointed that I had not gained a dollar. I do realize this is the risk you take. It's literally called gambling for a reason. But going many times and walking out a loser will make you not want to return. Well I'm happy to report those days are behind me. I don't know if it's because my luck has returned or if they are paying out more. I don't like going on the weekends because they are packed and if you have a favorite game more than likely someone is playing it. You constantly bump into other people and there is never any ice in the drink machines. Do yourself a favor and go through the week and if able go around 2am. It's a totally different place and you will have a wide selection of games to play. I still have not won "big" but have walked out either breaking even or more than I brought. I enjoy playing here. Through the week there is no issue with parking but the weekends are tricky. The only big complaint I have is how the smokers are treated. They are literally sat out into the outside elements. If it's cold out you will freeze as it has huge openings to the outside. If it's hot outside your gonna sweat. They do have heat and air inside there but it just gets sucked outside. I guess it is better than not having a place at all to smoke and be able to play at the same time. I have not tried the new downtown location but the parking, which you have to pay for detours me from wanting to visit. I look forward to hitting it big!!! I'm manifesting this for everyone who reads this and me!!! Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor!!!

Did not stay in a room but enjoyable experience. Well maintained machines and gambling area. Clean environment. I liked the High limit area as they have some of the Diamond and triple 7 machines I enjoy. The staff was welcoming and attentive.

My only issue is that I keep a tier 2 card. Using it approximately 5 times and most the time o don't use it at all because it seems to cause loosing more than anything. After 5 days a week I go spend monet and 13 dollars of free play is all that's given. 5 dollars and 8 dollars what you do with that.

This place was awesome 👏 not only was the front desk lady whose name is Karen( the good kind) she was so amazing and nice! She literally is world class customer service! The place smells really good when you get to the rooms and it’s really nice and roomy! It has a pretty good selections of slot machines such as prosperity, fortune mist, huff n puff the pig game!

Very nice casino! Not a huge variety of different slots. A lot of the same slots just located in different areas. First time visiting and had a great time. Did not stay at hotel so unable to rate.

The room was phenomenal awesome decoration work. Drinks were reasonably priced. The casino was ok machines don't give back much. There seemed to be alot of people not playing just sitting in the seats at the machines watching other people play. Also the location Is not in the best area.( Security does a good job patrolling the Parking lot). I would stay again but probably would not venture out at night.

Such a beautiful hotel, very reasonable, and super clean. The rooms were just as great and everywhere throughout the hotel every employee was as friendly and helpful as can be. We like video poker and there were only 4 $1 machines. Only thing we would have liked better would been location. There isn't much nearby so we had to do some driving.

This place is constantly and constantly evolving. New machines go in weekly and a good flow of traffic. I usually don’t have to wait very long for my machines that I want to play and let me tell you there’s a lot of them. This past year I’ve had two hand pats. Thanks guys. But please get more drink girls.

We go there for lunch and we call a head, we've never had a problem. This last time the girl who answered the phone told me she would put me on hold because she had too many in line and only one drawer open. I work on Gilmore Industrial Blvd . I was still on hold when we walked in and there was no one in line. We had to wait forever to get our food.... no apology for the never-ending hold or the fact that my food took forever. In fact, she was almost rude. It's a shame because Sherry the lady that was there previously never put us on hold or was rude. Probably gonna mark this place off of our lunch list, but it will save us the money we put in the machines.

The bar tender made a shotty drink and wouldn't fix it. I talked to management and I watched the bar tender pour the same drink in a new glass. Anybody back and told you I don't like the drink to go to embark in the next time.$15. I left.

Atmosphere was ok, beer was cold, place was clean. If you would like to win, this casino is not suggested. I have been to many casinos to play slots and I have never been to one as tight as this one. Save your money or play somewhere else. I'm from NY, so the vending machines were cool. We don't have them here

Too much attention to only the big spenders, Host are not interested in some of us that actually are good spenders just that we lose to much I guess, not a problem though we still have Caesar's that still remembers us little people, and also I was one of the first 500 to be in derby city and all the drawings they have numbers that a being called are 6,7,&8digit numbers use 3 digit # don't matter no more, but all in all it is a pretty decent place to gamble! Hotel rooms are very very expensive though! Also us smoker's are definitely not given any attention,no waitresses to serve us, now Newport gaming is #1 in service just so far to go but the service and attention they give is excellent to all who comes and the restroom is alot cleaner and smells decent, and the smoke room has a bar, restrooms, entertainment stage, change machine, and card machine so you actually don't have to go out of the smoke room for anything even self service drink station

We have been going here for the last year or so. We win some we lose some. I'm gonna say we win enough to keep us coming back. They always have some type of giveaway going on. I know I'm never gonna win a new car or anything but wishful thinking keeps me coming back. I will continue to swing in here when I'm feeling lucky. I'm not always gonna win just like life isn't always fair. But if you don't try you never know.

I have not stayed the night there yet, I went with friends just to have fun in the casino and at the bar for some drinks, when we needed a break we went upstairs to relax and unwind. I didn't like the elevators, I'm sure it's a safety thing, but if you don't have a room key, you can't access them. The rooms were nice, very relaxing, and for the most part quiet. Now the bathroom, ❤️ omg it was beautiful and the no tub shower was amazing!! I could have lived there happily 😂 *** Note *** the hotel will charge a fortune for anything that is missing after you check out, make sure you and your people know that or you can have charges - per missing item - on your credit card bill days after you leave. My ratings are based on my being a guest of a guest, I'm sure the service is good but I wasn't paying so I don't think it's fair to rate them when I didn't interact with them.
