Nico was amazing at making us feel special. Every item we rested was on point delicious. Chilean sea bass mwah. Salmon yummy. Shrimp so good.

This restaurant was recommended by a stranger who was also looking for a place to dine. The place is a bit pricey for our taste but the food was worth every dollar spent.

We reserved a private room. We expected great service, but got mediocre service. Our server was over worked and barely checked on us. We had long waits. It was not the VIP treatment we planned for. The food and drinks however was top tier. Better service would have been an easy 5*. The cornbread is magnificent!

Private Dining Room Experience: I want to start off on the GOOD notes here, the Bartender who served us an old fashioned before we sat for dinner was AMAZING, I really regret not remembering her name, but she was wonderfully knowledgeable and experienced in customer service! Alyza, who I also had worked with for booking the room, was fantastic! The food and drinks were also up to par on what I would expect when you spend $900+ on dinner. However, food is NOT the only thing that makes a luxury dining experience special, customer service, ambiance, and other factors come into play; which brings me to the BAD part of my review: As you can see from my photo attached to this review, we are in direct line of sight with other customers tables, what is "Private" about this room? I don't mind being near the kitchen at all but the fact other customers are watching us eat dinner is not acceptable. Yea there is a cheap drape to block off the room but it was never offered to be closed and we wouldn't have wanted it to be anyways due to the heat of the room. We were offered a specialized menu but never a private dining menu, this was a little confusing to me but there is apparently a difference according to their website? Our server, Sam, was very attentive. He constantly checked in on us and made sure we were doing okay. He did seem very new or inexperienced in this level of dining however, we were hoping for a little more enthusiasm and assistance through ordering but were kind of left to make mostly our own decisions as first time patrons of this restaurant. Overall my main recommendation is steer clear from private dining and just book a normal table, if you need to do private dining, do it right and go to Jeff Ruby's. Other than that, great food and great drinks.

Even with our 8pm reservation, we still waited 30 minutes for our table. Tha host was aware this was a birthday celebration but failed to tell our server who was otherwise magnificent. He was knowledgeable, polite and attentive. Food was good, portions did not equate to the price but the atmosphere was also nice. Butter cake was amazing for dessert

I had a fantastic dinner experience. I sat at the bar where Morris and George took great care of me. The drinks were expertly made. They have a nice bourbon list with some private barrel selections. I had the smoked salmon spread and cioppino. Both were excellent. I would definitely go back here.

This restaurant is WONDERFUL! We had a wonderful meal and the service from Makala was top notch! I had the Sea bass which was one of the best I've ever had. The atmosphere at Brandon's is charming and romantic. Next time we are in Louisville we will definitely dine here again!

Definitely a great dining experience. Waitress was very knowledgeable regarding the menu as well . Had multiple suggestions. We went with jar of warm crab meat in a butter sauce and served with pita on the side . Excellent and Definitely recommend this appetizer. I ordered the filet mignon . Cooked exactly as I ordered it . Recommend getting the mashed potatoes as well . They were excellent

We came here for dinner this past Friday and it was excellent though a touch expensive. The jar crab appetizer was very good but extremely rich from all the butter. I had the filet and scallops for dinner. The steak was perfectly cooked and the scallops just melt in your mouth. The sea bass was also very good. The staff were very friendly and gave helpful recommendations. Our server was very attentive and friendly.

My husband made a reservation for an early Valentines dinner and everything was absolutely perfect! I couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Jamie was our server and he was incredible both personable and professional. Although this was our first dining experience it certainly won’t be our last!

My sister’s coworker recommended Brendon’s Catch 23 to us, and I am glad we gave it a try. The atmosphere, food and service were all amazing. The seared sea scallops with risotto ranked as the best meal I have eaten at a restaurant all year. My husband had the shrimp and grits, which he said was good but had too much pepper. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience here as we fellowshipped with friends.

Beautiful outing. I attended this venue for an educational event so we couldn't order are steaks individually so they were all cooked the same. I wasn't impressed with the 2 bites I had of my co-workers steak. I had Salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was delicious and definitely would order again. My Caesar salad was delicious. Crab cakes melted in your mouth. Amazing crab cakes. This is a great place for a date night.

Spent our 25th Anniversary dinner here. What an amazing selection of food! Everything we ordered was fantastic! Our server, Sam, was excellent. Explained our choices and chose recommendations carefully. It was a wonderful experience.

I had my 25th Birthday at Brendon’s! And its my first time. The food was exceptional. What makes it special was the menu made for me. I have a name on top and most of the staff greeted me Happy Birthday! ❤️ The ambience got the classy vibe. The manager of this place Josue, took care of us from the beginning ‘til the end! Def recommend this place a 5-star experience! ❤️

Always an amazing experience! Food and service were phenomenal. Table-side smoked old fashion was an experience in itself and worth a trip. No better way to finish a night out than a plate of buttercake with bourbon ice cream.

Brendons Catch has a piqued my interest with its upscale atmosphere that's still welcoming of business casual attire. The decor it put together well and there are plenty of TV for viewing that aren't so loud that you can't hold a conversation at the table. I couldn't give the restaurant 5 stars because I'm a nit picker when it comes to service, promptness, and convenience. The physical menus were a classic touch that allows diners to get a full view of the extensive bourbon and wine lists but I would have preferred a QR code for contact less access. I came out by myself so I was seated at the bar. My waitress had to cover the bar and a small portion of the dining area so they were stretched a little thin. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu but she took forever to get my order and to deliver the check (which another server had to do because she was too busy cleaning up). For a Wednesday evening I thought this was rather slow and it perturbed me a little. The food was quite delicious though. The charcoal flavor from the grill was a little heavy on the shrimp skewers but the sauces that accompanied it made up for it. The grilled salmon was cooked to perfection and the Yukon gold potatoes were scrumptious. All in all it was a pleasurable experience but a little lackluster for my birthday dinner. Give it a try but expect this place to be packed on weekends.

Excellent service, great hosts and amazing food. You will need a reservation to eat here. Amaretto sour was made to perfect and our waiter had a foreign accent that gave a top feeling to be served. When we arrived we received custom menus with happy birthday, specialized, for the birthday girl. Such a great experience here.

I had an amazing night out with the ladies there last weekend. The food was superb. The service was top notch. The drinks were delicious. I will be going back very soon! Their valet was packed so they couldn’t do me or my friend car so parking was either on the street or in the parking garage around the corner. Cost me $13.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner and we had an amazing time! The cocktails were great, and the food was fantastic! Our waiter Roman was great, and the dessert is a must. Warm butter cake. The atmosphere inside is very nice as well. All 5 stars, highly recommend!!

I’m a flight attendant and I’ve arrived to the hotel when this establishment was closed. I was lucky enough to catch it open this trip. What a beautiful restaurant. The music is amazing. The atmosphere if breathtaking and so relaxing. The gentlemen are stellar. I had the pleasure of meeting Ross, Nick, George, and Morris. I’m not dressed the best nor do I look like I belong in a place like this, but each of them are absolutely welcoming. You have an amazing team.

We came to celebrate Valentine’s Day early. The staff and our server were very nice and gave great service. Food was fantastic, we had the calamari, shrimp and grits, Chilean sea bass, and the Parmesan truffle fries. We also had the Pick Me Up and the Decadent Lady cocktails, which were also very tasty. Next time we definitely want to make room to try desserts. 10/10 and can’t wait to come back.

Our server, Jennifer, set the tone for our wonderful evening. She was knowledgeable about the menu and her recommendations were spot-on. We were seated by the lovely fireplace feature but it didn't produce any heat. We shared Arroncini as an appetizer, and it was crispy outside and wonderfully creamy inside, with a perfectly-cooked bite of fish in the center. The scallops were the best I've ever had, sweet and meltingly tender. The cioppino was perfect, with an array of tender seafood in an amazing sauce and crisp bread to dip. Save room for the Berries Jubilee, flambéed tableside.

The dining experience here is great. The service was pleasant and the staff very welcoming. I was pleased with the flavors, the menu is full of various options. Went with the Tuna Tar Tar as an appetizer and it did not disappoint. The preparation of Chilean Sea Bass (as the main course) was spot on. My wife had the Scallop plate, I thought the risotto was a great compliment to the plate. Presentation was excellent!

I recently visited Louisville for the first time and was told Brendon's Catch 23 was a must in the city. I had dinner on a Saturday night and was impressed with the service, food and ambience. The hostess was very sweet, the bartender made me one of the best old fashions I've had (the ice cube inside the drink had the restaurant's logo stamped on it), and our waitress was very knowledgeable and professional. The food was delicious and the portions very fair. I was impressed with gem and will definitely go back if I'm in the city again. Great family business!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant. Food was great and the service was excellent. The biggest issue that I had was with the valet staff when we pulled up to the front of the restaurant we have to hit our horn in order to get the v valet attention to come to our car. When she came to our car, she told my wife “you can get out” in a rude way. She also did not attempt to open the door for my as normal valet do. It cost $25 to park for two hours. That’s the least they can do. We also waited 20 minutes to get our car. I recommend parking on the street saving your money because valet there is terrible.

Great seafood cocktails and atmosphere...a great high end bar in a lively area of downtown Louisville. We enjoyed apps and cocktails at the bar with Alyza doing a fantastic job behind the bar.

We arrived 15 minutes early and while we were waiting at the bar not even a few minutes later they had our table ready. Service was fast and efficient and we were out within an hour and 30 minutes. I can't remember the name of the drink pictured but it was fantastic. Everyone loved the drinks they got. The steak I ordered was medium plus and it came out closer to rare, same with everyone else at the table. We all ate them and they were really good but I would have ordered it more done had I known they'd come out less. Other than that we had a great experience and I would return again! It was such a nice place inside and staff was fantastic.

Incredible bourbon and wine collection and fabulous seafood and steak options. It's special moment worthy, but you have to be prepared to pay the price. Do your homework on their menu prices beforehand so you have a good idea of what to expect.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food at this spot it came highly recommended by locals for its food and it lived up to the hype! The waitress was very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations, the cooked oysters were fresh and amazing and the steak was flavourful and cooked to perfection! Will visit again whenever I'm in town.

Dined here as a surprise for my birthday and it did not dissappoint!!! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious!! Even the water was great!! We started off our meal with a Alaskan King Crab and butter in a jar...no cracking legs etc..the meat was already pulled and cut up for you to enjoy on toast...Sooo good! For my main course, I enjoyed the Seafood Grill Mix which consisted of Grilled Salmon, Jumbo Shrimp and Scallops skewer, accompanied by the best yukon gold mashed potatoes I have EVER tasted and grilled asparagus..A lot of food, no need to order a salad or additional side it is very filling. My date enjoyed the 71 day aged bone in Ribeye Steak, cooked and seasoned past perfection, the meat just melts in your mouth..simply amazing! He also enjoyed the Yukon Gold Mashed potatoes... And for dessert we had the Butter cake topped with Bourbon Ice Cream and Strawberries... My taste buds were fighting each other this food was so good!! Our server Meghan was absolutely fantastic and knew her stuff! The restaurant itself had very nice decor, all of the staff was professional and very pleasant. My hats off to the Chef!! If you have not dined here you are missing out! We will be coming back to Louisville just to dine here again... I'd give them 10 stars if I could...

I don’t know what to say. I’m a foodie and I enjoy when people respectfully care for the quality of service they put out. One of the best restaurants that my wife and I have ever ventured. This is a another spot I don’t want others to know about because when the secret gets out it’s never the same. All jokes aside the waiter was great, the food and ambiance was classic “we have to come here again but do we want to bring the kids”. The crab was crazy good ordered it twice because I was in awe. We share a steak and that was cook to perfection for an 8oz or 6oz can’t remember but it was bigger than I expected and as flavorful as can be but not overly salty or sweet. The right balance to call it an adult meal.

We were so looking forward to a really nice meal before our concert this evening. We were both craving steak and so chose this restaurant based on previous reviews. I don’t know if they had a different chef or if the meat was different or what, our steaks were absolutely bland. My husband had to ask for salt and pepper for his aged steak. I’ve had better steaks at mom about pop places. For the price we expected exceptional. It wasn’t even good. Thankful we got potatoes and asparagus. By the way ALL sides are extra. The place is beautiful and staff was professional.

Absolutely spectacular meal. Wesley, the server, was beyond wonderful. And the food! Wow, the food! Perfect cook in all that we consumed. Lobster Mac with a full tail, wonderful corn bread with cinnamon butter, my husband's beautiful brisket, my luscious halibut with a perfect bearnaise sauce, and our daughters scrumptious crab cake (from the appetizer menu, but perfect for a small person). Did I mention the drinks??? Their Brendon' s 1081 old fashion, and their spicy Easy Street were beautiful and their smoked old fashion with a lovely 104 proof Bulliet is a perfect treat. If you are in the market for a fun evening, come see Wesley and laugh awhile.

My boyfriend and I decided to go to Brendon’s Catch on our 2nd Anniversary to celebrate the achievements we had overcome throughout the past few years as well as share the love we have together. We decided on a 7:15PM reservation back in November, as we had heard phenomenal reviews over Brendon’s Catch. My boyfriend and I had shown up an hour earlier of our designated reservation and the staff happily seated us, almost immediately. Once we had sat down at our table, a kind gentleman named Jime began to work his knowledge of the restaurant as well as develop personal connections with us during our time at Brendon’s Catch. I was very excited to have conversations with Jime as he was very enthusiastic regarding the menu. He had provided exceptional details to each item my boyfriend and I had questions about, leaving us to reflect on the variety of choices the restaurant had displayed. Our food appetizer was the Whipped Goat Cheese Bruschetta, and it was an incredible lightweight snack that provided so little, yet so much. Next, we had cornbread with a creamy butter. I am not particularly too fond of cornbread as I feel as if the dough becomes too dry, but this cornbread maintained the right amount of moisture while the side of butter added texture of smoothness to the dish. Each time we had finished our food, the staff was quick to their feet to ensure the cleanliness of our space and to stay free of clutter. For our main course, my boyfriend had ordered the Kansas City Strip with the Mac and Cheese, and I had ordered the Seared Yellowtail Tuna with yellow Yukon potatoes, asparagus with a creamy glace added to the plate. As soon as the main courses were brought out, we were very impressed with the display of the food as it was presented clean and organized. We had began digging into the food, and were blown away with how exquisite each item tasted. The amount of flavor could not compare to experiences in the past, up until our very first experience with Brendon’s Catch. Lastly, dessert was a must. I had ordered the flourless chocolate cake, while my significant other chose the pecan pie. Again, a 10/10 experience. I highly encourage those to go to Brendon’s Catch at some point and time in your life to gain the experience we had while we were at this restaurant. We only go to nicer restaurants on special occasions, and now that we have had different experiences at different locations regarding a wide variety of food, Brendon’s Catch, most certainly, took the throne.
