The rooms were nice, but the parking is ludicrous. They charge near $20 when all the other places in the general area are $7 for overnight parking. Their lot isn't secure, with transients walking in and out all day. They stole several items from my car. Needless to say don't bother parking here.

I enjoyed my stay. It was comfortable and clean. All of the appliances worked. Great location for what I wanted to do. Matt McTigue was exceptional. I have to mention him personally because he genuinely cares about people. He went the extra mile to accommodate me to make things easier and more comfortable for me Thank you Matt!

Perfect place for extended stays. As close to a home-away-from home you can get, especially if you don't want to go the B&B or Airbnb route. Facilities are centrally located and there is a pool, fitness center, and even free breakfast. The fully-stocked kitchens are incredibly helpful. I really like the lounge area which is great for down-time -- feels like a cozy cafe.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in a while. They were able to have a room ready for us last minute when the original hotel we had booked didn't work out. Even though the booking was last minute they were able to bring up a crib for our daughter. The room was clean and just the space we needed. Everyone was super friendly The breakfast was amazing. So much variety. Alot of hotels serve the same mediocre food. They had so many great options based on what you were in the mood for. I would most definitely stay here again.

Room was reasonably well furnished although the sleeper sofa mattress was flimsy and near impossible to sleep on due to metal frame poking through it. Pool was also closed, no reason given. Disappointed about the hotel advertising services they're not offering.

Rooms were clean and the kitchette made it convenient but staff was rude upon check-in. They don't have a ice maker so I recommend you grab ice before you arrive. They told us they didn't allow parties there but when we tried to go to the pool there was so many kids you couldn't just enjoy yourself. I was on the second floor and the parking garage was on my floor so it was nice I didn't have to go far to get to my car. I didn't sleep well at all because all night all you hear is kids running up and down the hall, doors slamming and people yelling. It was the worst experience that I had with a hotel and I never will go back.

Location is perfect- very close to everything downtown (walking distance). David at the front desk was extremely helpful & upbeat- thank you David!! Rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast is a good variety. Full fridge and kitchen in the room and the bed is SO comfy ๐Ÿ˜Š

Very good overall experience. The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff was outstanding and quick to respond to any requests, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. The pool was very refreshing to take a dip in after a long day at the concert I was attending, and it was a very quiet and peaceful place to stay overall.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Had a problem with our AC, staff were taking care of it within 5 min. Rooms very clean with plenty of space. One staff in particular (Brett) went above and beyond to ensure our stay and our time in Louisville was more than we could have imagined! Will definitely come back!

I had an amazing experience at the Residence Inn Louisville due to the exceptional efforts of the hotel manager Dave Grorud. Dave reached out personally prior to our arrival to share the parking procedure. In passing, I mentioned that my wife and I were celebrating our 32nd anniversary. When we arrived, the front desk personnel knew it was our 32nd anniversary and congratulated us. Dave had arranged a beautiful suite and, in the suite, a bottle of wine and a personal note congratulating us. However, the event which inspired this note occurred after we left. I realized I left my Apple Watch at the hotel. I had more or less given up on getting the watch back, but I still had Dave Grorud's email from our earlier interactions and decided to take a shot. I emailed Dave and he had the housekeeping manager search the room. The watch had fallen off the nightstand and was behind the bed. Dave arranged to ship the watch to me. I've stayed in a lot of hotels. I used to work for a global Fortune 500 and traveled about 75% for business (3 weeks/month). I've stayed in just about every hotel imaginable. I'm a Hilton Diamond and I'm currently a Gold Elite IHG member. I've not stayed much at Marriott's because of my status with Hilton and IHG, but I intend to change that.

Had a great experience! The customer service was super on point, the nightly rate was great, parking easy, the room was comfortable for my whole family, and we enjoyed the morning breakfast. Will stay again! A special Thank You to Dave the GM and his team for going above and beyond to make our stay extra comfortable while in town for a difficult time!!

The room was clean, had a full kitchenette with all the fixings. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. That dang green exit button on the front door got me a couple of times though. If you see a cheese and spinach quiche in the morning - that was really good. Breakfast has a few mains that vary in goodness but juice, coffee, self-service fresh waffles and a kicking oatmeal bar carry the day.

Pros: Very close to the heart downtown and most things are in walking distance Excellent customer service by the Employees Fresh breakfast and hot โ˜•๏ธ Reasonably priced Rooms sparkling clean and in working order Safety measures Cons: apparently this hotel is not in a great area of town. I started to wonder when the hotel doors have double locking doors and when I saw homeless people EVERYWHERE! I would certainly stay here again but Would NOT advise anyone to walk by themselves or without protection. A group would be totally fine. It just stinks that I canโ€™t take a nice walk without constantly watching over my shoulder.

Room was overpriced. Was not cleaned daily for someone staying 8 days. My trash was running over. Toiletries were empty when I arrived. Loved the full kitchen & couch area. Breakfast was good. Parking at the hotel was $20 per day.

This hotel was very clean and smelled good ..the pool was awesome and so was the hot tub. I loved the fact that I had a full service kitchen in my room. It was convenient and made life easier with little ones so we didnโ€™t have to spend a lot of money on food at Thunder . I didnโ€™t make it to breakfast because I slept so good in my bed. But the ๐Œ๐Ž๐’๐“ ๐ˆ๐Œ๐๐Ž๐‘๐“๐€๐๐“ review I want to give is of the staffer named Nathan โ˜บ๏ธ.. I was having issues with my debit card for some strange reason, while one of the staff members just kept telling me it declined and it was nothing he could do, Nathan went ๐€๐๐Ž๐•๐„ ๐€๐๐ƒ ๐๐„๐˜๐Ž๐๐ƒ to make sure I got my room. And being that Iโ€™m a local and I was just trying to have a weekend getaway with my grandkids to be closer to Thunder over Louisville , it really made me feel good to know that some people out here genuinely still care and are human and see others as human and not a color , race , or gender. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพโค๏ธ. And with the recent tragedy here in our city we ๐Œ๐”๐’๐“ strive to be more kind to one another! ๐Ÿ™‚. So this review is to Nathan so that he knows he made me and my grandsons weekend with the kind act that he showed me, he didnโ€™t have to do what he did, but he did ๐Ÿ˜Š.. and I believe no I know had he not been there I would have not got my room that I had booked months in advance! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Everything was great with the hotel except for something I feel is pretty important, enough so I could not give more than two stars. There just is no hot or even warm water to take a shower with. My stay was a business trip with several colleagues all on various floors, and everyone agreed, the barely warm water did not make for good showers.

This hotel is in downtown area. This place has one McDonald's and a Jimmy John's nearby that's it. Most places here close at 9 pm.. Morning breakfast is provided till 9 am. The room rents are comparably cheaper, that is the only good.

We arrived and they didnโ€™t have the room I had booked. They upgraded us to a two bedroom suite! They were having some A/C issues, so they brought us a portable A/C unit, which worked very well. The location is right by Louisville Slugger field, and the area around the hotel is clean.

Great experience! Highly recommend for anyone on business or leisure. I came for work, and it was lovely in all aspects. The breakfast service, gym and lobby are excellent. The staff are the best to assist with whatever you need while staying here. Detra, the front desk staff, is so nice along with all the others to help ya out when here. Location is right in downtown with a beautiful view and close to events like the Kentucky Derby. Well worth staying here and would highly recommend! Thank you Residence Inn for a lovely stay๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’™

Itโ€™s a pretty good location, however not much to even eat close by. The service is the worst at front desk - went today to ask for some assistance with loud noise from A/C unit. Was told that is the norm in all rooms. Asked if they could at least check if itโ€™s as bad and was told we will look into it when time permits. For 200$ per night, expecting a little more comfort and peace is not too much to ask for IMHO. Many other hotels in the area that are priced at same rate - double check those. Went with this one because it was close to some of the wine tours in the area, if not, probably would not have even booked this one. Maybe all rooms are not this bad - hopefully. Just double check before checking in. Came in late last night because flight was delayed by 3 hours, if not we would have checked out immediately. Room is also pretty cramped and the sofa bed - the spring stab you in the back. Do not expect any sleep for the person who chooses sofa bed as their option.

The hotel room and the area were really nice. Although the room looked as if it wasnโ€™t cleaned from the last person. The shower had spots and clear rusting and there were a few flies in the room. The front staff was rude, we never got our room cleaned in the three days we stayed and the tv didnโ€™t work. It says that an HBO subscription was included in the stay but you canโ€™t even get on the app it just says thereโ€™s an error, so it wouldnโ€™t even allow me to log into my own account. We tried using our fire stick for the problem but the tv doesnโ€™t seem compatible with fire stick or roko as you canโ€™t change the HDMI. The hot tub is permanently closed and online it says your stay includes the hot tub which was disappointing. The breakfast was okay, very limited options, but we went at 8 every morning which is an hour before they stopped serving it and each day almost everything was gone. Iโ€™m giving three stars because the room was updated and nice and the area was close to everything but I probably wouldnโ€™t stay here again.

Poorly designed hotel. The lobby has a weird step down that is poorly marked. I tripped and fell, injuring myself - would be awfully dangerous for someone in their later years. Trying to leave the front door, you canโ€™t just exit. You have to push a button to leave which tells me itโ€™s not a safe neighborhood. Room is clean but Would not recommend for these reasons.

Let's see. First off toilet didn't work, microwave was held together with tape. 100.00 dog deposit on top of an overpriced room considering the condition of the room. Staff however was great.

I booked 2 rooms & both were nice. One rooms shower wasnt very good at all, no water pressure. Breakfast was very disappointing because pictures on the website shows a hot breakfast with eggs, waffles, sausage, ect. We had reheated sandwiches in bags. For the price of the room, I would think breakfast would be better that a heated english muffin in a bag. I still dont understand paying for parking when you pay $250/night for a room.

One of the best customers service experiences we ever had. The front desk clerk Derta was very professional, polite and had a upbeat attitude. We will definitely stay here again.

I have stayed at Marriott hotels 161 out of 190 days in 2022. The Residence Inn by Marriott Louisville Downtown was by far the worst Marriott I have ever stayed in. Let's start with my initial staff experience, as we struggled with the luggage cart and maneuvering around his cleaning cart the cleaning staff individual closely watched as he rested his chin on his mop handle, never asking if he could help or by simply moving his cart. Once in the room, it smelt like cigarettes', staff response, odd we usually only get this on the 2nd or 3rd floor. The mattress was awful, feeling the springs and in ones back was great - we asked for a maรฎtresse topper, bring one they did and they threw it beside the bed in a crumpled heap on the floor for us. The AC unit was unbelievably noisy, between it the mattress and cigarette smoke smell sleep was non existant. The pool bottom was filthy, sand and dirt around the perimeter and hot tub out of service. Celling tiles falling from the parking garage onto cars - pro tip, park on the second level. Instead of a two night stay, we packed up and went elsewhere after one night. Through staying at Marriott's over the years many locations have told me they are not allowed to verbally communicate ones room number nor ask for it, they are to ask for a name only for security reasons. Room numbers were communicated and requested often by front desk staff, in fact I accidently gave the incorrect number and she read the name and address of the gentleman in the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

On week 4 of a 6 week stay. They have messed up the housekeeping day every week thus far. Opted for Monday. Confirmed with the front desk this morning at 9. Came back at 4 and it still wasnโ€™t done and I was not on any of the housekeepers lists. There should also be privacy glass on the pool room windows for the bottom Payne of glass that still lets light in. Pretty weird being in a bikini and men/homeless men can just walk slowly and watch you. Itโ€™s cheap and easy to install, they sell kits at lowes/Home Depot/amazon. The jacuzzi is out of order so thatโ€™s a bummer, hopefully fixed soon. They do a great breakfast until 9 on weekdays 10 on weekends. Hot breakfast sandwiches, crustless spinach and cheese quiche. Yogurt, oatmeal, pastries galore, bread, English muffins and bagels with butter, jam and cream cheese. Coffee, selection of milks and cream, variety of teas and a nice seating area. There is a marketplace off the lobby that has food, snacks, candy, drinks (even some alcohol) toiletries you may have forgotten, and laundry supplies. Thereโ€™s a laundry room on 2 I think? Staff has been polite and trying their best to remedy my housekeeping situation.

Dave Grorud, I see your reply to my review below. I never received a call from you all as you have stated. I would like if you provided me your email or contact information so we could talk please. Iโ€™m not understanding how housekeeping is getting away with stealing items from peoples rooms and customers not being able to do anything about it or be given any type of accommodation at all. Never had this happen before at a hotel, worst place Iโ€™ve ever been. Review from a week ago since it got deleted somehow: Upon checking out in the morning, I accidentally left behind a pair of expensive shoes in my room. When I reached out that afternoon to the hotel staff, I was told it wasnโ€™t reported to the lost & found, but that they would call me tomorrow after speaking with housekeeping. No callโ€ฆ I then called myself the next day & was given the run around, again nothing turned in, and they hadnโ€™t spoken to housekeeping. When asked for a manager, was told there was none for housekeeping and was transferred to the manager of the hotelโ€™s voicemail. No call back. I proceeded to call again the following day during hours of operation that housekeeping would be there, the lady at the front desk said she was not able to leave the desk to ask the housekeeping staff if they had turned my shoes in. She also said her manager was there but away from the desk and that theyโ€™d call me back. No call. It has been 4 days, and I have not received any messages or calls at all, still do not have my shoes that were left there but inquired about the same exact day of leaving and after the room was cleaned. Therefore, it seems to be that the housekeeping staff took them and did not report it. Would not stay here again.

Had problem with the air they moved us to a different room. They didn't have enough pillows for us in the room and no fitted sheets to put on the couch pull out. But we made it, it was located in a great place things was in walking distance too. Thanks we had fun..

Disappointing quality for a Marriott. Also, I Honestly wish we'd stayed in another area. I don't know anything about Louisville and thought this seemed close to everything. There was a good Mexican restaurant very close, but otherwise not really a walkable area - especially with kids. Here are my +'s and -'s... Cons: - hot tub still broken - Pool is not well ventilated. After twenty minutes of being in the pool area (not swimming) or eyes were burning - location - shoddy workmanship throughout the room. - The bathtub spout was falling off the wall .. Probably because the water diverter pull that turns on the shower is nearly impossible to pull up or push down. - The dishwasher is garbage. Not installed well, leaks water all over the place, not grounded or attached to floor/wall. - kitchen faucet leaked water all over the counter - entire 6th floor reaked of stale smoke. - asked for foam pillows... When the manager finally brought them they smelled like cigars - parking was $18/day - staff wasn't very knowledgeable about the area - seemed to be something like dried, half-cleaned vomit on the bathroom wall, behind the door. **Positives** - breakfast was great. No waffles but lots of hot food and takeaway muffins/sweet breads - staff was all very friendly - parking, while very expensive - was very convenient and easy to access. Unlimited in/out - I would have complained that they had no ice machines, but they provided very large bags of ice in the little convenience area-for free - bathroom fan was very loud and worked well. Provided good white noise at night time and also privacy.
