There are great B&Bs, and then there are exquisite B&Bs. Chateau Bourbon is most definitely an exquisite experience. From the moment you’re greeted at the door until you say goodbye at the end of your stay, everything about Chateau Bourbon is wonderful. This was our 7th visit (we think) to Chateau Bourbon. Missy and John are the most gracious hosts you can imagine. Guests feel like family as soon as you arrive. The happy hour each day pairs a wonderfully prepared dessert with a well-crafted bourbon cocktail. Whether served on the patio or in the living room, it’s a great time for conversation. The rooms at Chateau Bourbon are gorgeous (we’ve been in all four rooms) and are roomy, comfy, and we’ll appointed. Breakfasts are always amazing. Three courses, starting with the house granola served with yogurt and the Chateau signature drunken cherries. Second course is a savory breakfast item, followed by the third course which is the sweet item, accompanied by the house bourbon butter maple syrup. We’ve never had a breakfast we didn’t rave about. Spending a day walking through the Norton Commons neighborhood is like a throwback to an earlier time. The homes are gorgeous, and there is plenty of places for shopping and dining, all within walking distance. Chateau Bourbon has become a regular stop for us, and we’ll keep coming back because it’s like our home away from home.

I happened upon this B&B when searching for places to stay in the Louisville area. The house is immaculate and appointed very well. We stayed in the Reserve Sweet where the decor was perfect and the amenities were great. The bed was very comfortable, and the tub was so relaxing. The house is very quiet, which we liked, especially being on the bottom floor. The food was very tasty and the afternoon cocktail and snack were a nice bonus, although I think a two drink minimum would be even better! Norton Commons is a very upscale area that has several places within walking distance to eat, drink, and shop. We ate at Ramsi’s and enjoyed a very good meal as well as Old School NY Pizza. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back in the spring/summer when they have live music outside. Missy and John were gracious hosts.

“Exceptional, excellent 2 night stay in a beautiful historic town. We will be back!” The only place to stay in Louisville, KY is at Chateau Bourbon. John and Missy’s home is beautiful and their attention to detail, along with their touches throughout the B&B exceeded all of our expectations. The comfy Single Barrel Suite looked over the quiet street and also had a patio over looking the courtyard. The home offered to many amenities to list. The highlight of our stay was John and Missy’s personal interaction during happy hour, breakfast and casual relaxation. We will definitely be back! Jeff and Carrie Blowing Rock, NC

We stayed at Chateau Bourbon B&B for our 20th anniversary. It was the best experience! The location was great! Walking distance to everything you could need. The food and hospitality was top notch. The B&B was spectacular. We will certainly be coming back.

Amazing experience at this B&B, Missy and John were so kind and accommodating to my wife’s dietary restrictions. They were very friendly and welcoming every day. We have never stayed in such a comfortable, beautiful place. No detail was missed including a fan in the room for white noise. My wife and I rarely sleep when away but both of us slept easily. The local restaurants were great and a must try! The neighborhood was very walkable and we enjoyed being away from the city. Overall, wonderful stay and we will be back!

Thoroughly enjoyed Chateau Bourbon B&B! 5+ Stars! John & Missy make the visit a memory you'll treasure. Delightful happy hour, delicious 3-course breakfast, divine home and impeccable rooms/bathrooms, welcoming porches/patios for relaxing, wonderful neighborhood with shops and restaurants, Chateau Bourbon could be your only destination except Louisville has so many other things to offer too! We fell in love with KY and crammed as much as we could into the visit, i.e. distillery tours, trolley ride, museum visits, concert, Creation Museum, and The Ark. We'll definitely be back!

I had a wonderful stay. Missy and John are so welcoming! Great location. Best French Toast I have ever had in my life! Such a great departure from a canned hotel stay. Can’t wait to come back.

From check-in to departure, our stay at Chateau Bourbon was perfect. This was our second stay and most definitely won’t be our last. Missy and John are exceptional hosts. From the moment you walk in the door, you are treated like family. The 3-course breakfast and happy hour sweet with accompanying cocktail are always delicious and beautifully prepared and served. If you’re checking out reviews deciding where to stay in the area, look no further. We can’t wait to plan our next stay!

This place is a perfect Kentucky getaway! The happy hour was such a great welcome treat. We started with an old fashioned and bananas foster. And the three course breakfast was delicious. Bourbon accents in everything. My husband said “this was the best bed and breakfast experience I’ve had,” as we were leaving. WOW! We will be back!

Chateau Bourbon is the perfect place to stay! My wife and I had enjoyed every aspect of the B&B and will surely be back. Missy was an excellent host who makes delicious cocktails and an incredible breakfast. The finished in the hotel are premium, and we loved lounging on the front porch swing at night. Missy and John gave great recommendations on places to eat and drink, all of which were easily walkable. We will most definitely be back!

Missy and John were amazing hosts! One of our absolute favorite spots on our trip. John and Missy made the best drinks we had while we were in Louisville! The rooms are beautiful and comfortable! We had an amazing sleep. I would suggest this place if you're in the area. It's not terribly far from church hill downs and not far from downtown.

We stayed here on a bourbon and horse tour trip with my brother and sister in law. Missy and John do an amazing job. The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. We got a great night's sleep every night, all accommodations are a cut above the best. We were served an unbelievable 3 course breakfast every morning. I am not a big breakfast eater, but I will tell you, do not skip breakfast! It is an experience all its own. Happy hour is an enjoyable time with other guests or just Missy and John. You will look forward to whatever cocktail and sweet they are serving. The skill set of this couple complements each other perfectly. They go above and beyond to make your stay a memorable one.

We had an amazing stay here and there will likely never be another B&B that can compete. Hosts were very welcoming and food and drinks were delicious with beautiful presentation. The bed and room were very comfortable with luxurious amenities in everyway! The home and decor was beautiful. Nice boutiques and restaurants within walking distance and the hosts even provide a discount card for the neighborhood businesses as well. Cannot say enough great things!

Up-scale without the Up-pity! We wanted to take a quick trip to Louisville without the hassle of staying downtown. What a find when we came across Chateau Bourbon! The inn is STUNNING. The neighborhood of Norton Commons is safe, clean, easily walkable, and friendly. There are plenty of things to do, along with good places to eat and drink. If you’re hesitant to stay at a B&B, don’t be with Chateau Bourbon. Luxury at its best.

Spent two delightful days at Chateau Bourbon. The rooms are beautiful and the atmosphere is so warm and cozy. The afternoon cocktails and desserts were unique and delicious. Breakfast was absolutely yummy with a good mix of savory and sweet. The innkeepers Missy and John are so friendly and make your stay relaxing.

We were absolutely blown away by the impeccable accommodations and genuine hospitality from Missy and John. The B&B is incredibly charming and cozy, and the breakfasts and happy hour baked treats are truly top-notch. If any of our friends or family ever plan to visit Louisville, Chateau Bourbon will be the first and only place we will recommend they stay. Thanks, Missy and John, for making our first trip (but certainly not the last!) to Kentucky such a memorable one!

We wanted to get away from home, but not have to drive too far so the Louisville area was ideal. I found Chateau Bourbon online and was immediately sold by reading the reviews. We were greeted by Missy when we arrived, had a brief tour, and got settled into our room. This B&B is unlike any that I've been to, and Missy & John are the ones to thank for that. We were greeted every morning with smiles and THE MOST DELICIOUS breakfast, were provided with anything we needed during our stay, and had an amazing cocktail hour with dessert every evening (Missy's banana creme pie is TO DIE FOR). I can't say enough about Missy & John, they were hospitable, funny, and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was great. We even got a golf cart tour of the neighborhood (which is also amazing!) and got to know some of the other guests (who were also a lot of fun). We will definitely be back again and highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxed and fun getaway!

Hands Down - Best B&B! From the moment you walk in Chateau Bourbon you feel like you are home. Missy and John go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Our room was immaculate and so beautifully decorated! The bed was extremely comfortable and the soaking tub was an added bonus. The evening cocktails and three course breakfasts are out of this world! They gave wonderful recommendations for food in the area and were a wealth of knowledge regarding all the distilleries in KY. We highly recommend staying here and hope to return soon!

Chateau Bourbon is an amazing B&B-first class from the minute we arrived to our last day. (We had a total of 3 couples in our party.) Hosts Missy and John were extremely knowledgeable about Louisville and the Bourbon Trail and answered any and all of our questions. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time talking and laughing with them. The included 3 course breakfasts (always with a little bourbon infusion!) that Missy prepared were delicious and a perfect way to start the day. John was there to make sure we had everything we needed and also provided some great laughs. We made sure to not miss out on the "Sips and Sweets" happy hour complete with a specialty bourbon drink and Missy's homemade desserts (Missy is even willing to share some of her recipes!). Simply decadent!!! The decor at Chateau Bourbon was captivating as each room had it's own flair (Missy did all the decorating and John added some bourbon barrel special touches!). The details and decor created the perfect atmosphere-both inside and outside. The swings on the front and back porches were perfect for enjoying our happy hour or simply hanging out. We had an amazing night's sleep in the comfy beds enjoyed the cozy robes! The grounds were gorgeous, and we were able to walk to restaurants, bars, shopping and entertainment all within the Norton Commons area. So quaint and perfect!!!! A truly special place that we cannot wait to return to!!
