This place is always good and never disappoints. The burgers are excellent with many options to choose from and interesting taste combinations. This time I opted for the Philly sandwich and it was really good. The short rib grilled cheese is worth trying as well. If you’re in the mood for a burger then get yourself here ASAP.

My husband and I stopped here after the Louisville Slugger tour. Great local restaurant. We started off with the Dates in a Blanket - name could be better (doesn’t do it justice), sauce I was unsure of when seeing it - but it was fantastic. The cheese wasn’t over powering like some I’ve had elsewhere. My husband had the bacon burger on a pretzel bun with truffle fries he loved it! I had the pork short rib grilled cheese - so yummy!! Make sure to try the Lemonade cocktail with strawberry! Our server was amazing as well!

This was a recommendation from our bartender over at Hell or High Water. I'm glad she sent us here. Our burgers were excellent, and it's exactly what you want after a day of bouncing around to different bourbon distilleries. I had the BBQ burger. My brother had the CEO. Our friend ordered the BBB. Needless to say everyone loved their choices. Our server was friendly and provided a lot of suggestions. Really great burger spot.

This was the perfect place to go after an afternoon exploring downtown. The short rib nachos were a delicious starter and came out hot and crispy. Moscow Mules were well made and came served in a cold copper mug. My group had four different burgers, all that were enjoyed. I had the BBQ Burger and found it to be incredibly flavorful, although a bit messy to manage... I would order again in a heartbeat. My sweet potato fries were not as hot as I would have liked, but there was no reason to deduct a star for something so slight. Great service and nice environment will be sure to bring me back soon.

We looked for reviews and this had a pretty high review as we were just leaving the Louisville slugger museum and needed to have lunch. The service was impeccable and we really loved our server Carlos! I've never had mussels before and so we tried them as a family and I actually I liked them. The truffle fries were amazing! I love the ambiance and the feel of the entire place. Just wished we had room to eat the desserts that sounded amazing! It's a great location and we would highly recommend!

Wow! This place was amazing start to finish. The service was excellent. Our server, Julian, was friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. The mussels were out of this world. My burger had a lot going on all amounted to amazing. My wife's short rib grilled cheese was beautifully done as well. The atmosphere worked too. I haven't made such a fuss about a restaurant in I don't know when. On top of all that the bartenders make excellent drinks and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Our experience here started off great. We were promptly sat and greeted and received our drinks. We placed our order, and once we got our food, we didn't see our waiter for a long time. I realize they were getting busy, but we both would have had a second drink had we had the opportunity. We even ran out of water, and there's not a good excuse for that. But the drinks we did have were good and the food was delicious. We unfortunately just did not receive the best service.

The food here is down right delicious! This place came highly recommended and was told that their burgers and mussels were some of the best. They also make an excellent old fashioned!

Mussel & Burger Bar is a great, elevated bar food restaurant. On my visit, I had 3 different dishes... Started with the Sweet and Spicy Calamari. The flavor was nice but it just tasted kinda mushy and smothered in sauce. Would of liked it too be crispier. Next was The Local Burger. The meat was cooked perfectly, nicely chared just a bit, and had great, fresh meaty taste. The bacon and cheese complimented it nicely too. Finally, the carrot cake was awesome. It had good balance of sweetness. Service was also very attentive and friendly. Overall a great first experience here and I'll for sure come back and try other dishes.

We started with the curry mussels. They were very good. The burgers were straight amazing. The BBB, the argentinian, and the BBQ burger. We all sampled each other's burgers and we had a hard time deciding which one was better. It was basically a 3 way tie. The sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly. Paired with the pineapple dipping sauce put it way over the top.

We had the Sweet and Spicy Calamari, Seafood Sliders and Beef Sliders which was all very tasty and loaded with flavor. The bartender here made sure we were satisfied with our drink choices, Old Fashioned and Bourbon Punch as both cocktails were spot on with no complaints.

Great dinning experience and location. The dates in a blanket from the starters section were delicious. Perfect mix of sweet and savory. Nice selection of options for the muscles, I had the Blue cheese beer pancetta which I highly recommend. service was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The smoked pineapple dipping sauce for the burger and fries didn't quite work for me, seemed to clash and would recommend sending it with another sauce alongside.

My wife and I just had an amazing meal tonight at this restaurant. We had only ever been here once before and extremely happy that we revisited a handful of years later. What’s not to love? Mussels? Yeah. Burgers? Yeah. Beer and bourbon? Hell yeah! Our server, Casey, was absolutely wonderful and they are lucky to have her as an employee. Prompt service, refilling of drinks, easy to talk with, excellent suggestions on what to order, a wonderful gem. We started with the Curry Cream Mussels and pleasantly surprised at how delicious they were. My wife ordered the Spanish Blue burger and I had the CEO burger which was equally as delicious. For my meal, it came with steak truffle fries, which, turned out to be giant delicious Jo-Jo fries. I kid you not, each one was 1/4 of a potato! In hindsight, I would recommend to cut those one more time for more crispy edges 😊. At the end of the day, we recommend you head on over, buy both mussels and a burger, grab a drink, and hope you get the wonderful Casey as a server!

Had an amazing experience! Wonderful waiter who took care of us. Mussels were very flavorful and the salad was super fresh! My friend got a burger and they absolutely loved it. Don’t be afraid of the burgers price as you definitely get what you pay for!

All of our meals, drinks and service was fantastic. Came out super quick and we all agreed it was some of the best burgers we've ever had! We also got the tiramisu cheesecake and carrot cake and those were delicious as well!

Delicious and fancy:) We stopped in and were thoroughly impressed with the nachos!! Best dish in Louisville!!! The nachos had plenty of perfectly cooked short ribs and cheese on top of the house made potato chips:) We will come back for this again:) We also had the burger, seafood sliders, and the short rib grilled cheese. Everyone said it was delicious!

The food was Amazing. It was hard to trim down what we wanted to order and already have our next trip planned. The bloody mary was nothing special it was more of a vodka drink than a bloody. Our server was nice and did bring my son ice cream for his birthday. She was also very accommodating of my allergy and suggested alternatives. However we were there after lunch rush before dinner rush and the Manger walked by the few tables a number of times without checking in. I get when busy but this was the time to talk to guests.

If you come here, I really suggest just sitting at the bar rather than waiting for a table. Another review suggested that you get reservations, but that's not actually available at this establishment (as of January 2022). But I promise you that sitting at the bar is well worth it if you don't want to wait for a table opening. Kelsyn and Sergio are absolute professionals that not only make top-notch drinks, but are kind, friendly, and go above and beyond with everything they do. I came here two nights in a row just to watch them get treated like trash with a smile (although I couldn't take it the second night, and stood up for them against a particularly combative patron) all while keeping their cool and delivering nothing but the best. I was beyond impressed by the quality of service and quality of the food and drink. Beyond that, prices are amazingly good for the delicious food (I highly recommend the Mac and cheese, carrot cake, margeritas, and Argentinan burgers, but honestly everything is amazing) and the ambiance is both fun and creative. It also helps that they are one of the only places open past 8pm, but even if there were 100 places nearby that were open when I needed them to be, I would pick this every time. My only regret is not staying in town longer in order to try more of their food, and support this diamond in the rough. You can bet that I'll be back, asking for a bar seat, the next time I'm in town. I would say the only criticism I have is that their steak fries are hilariously massive to the point that they should be labeled as baked potatoes, rather than fries, lol.

Heard nothing but good things about this place and was not disappointed during our visit for our 28th Wedding Anniversary. Our food (taquito and Mac N cheese appetizers with signature burgers) and drinks were awesome, our burgers were cooked to order as we specified. Although the wait was long (~ 45 minutes) it was expected since it was a Friday night. We took seats at the bar and were served promptly. The service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. We will be visiting again and again …..

We ordered Mussels and Burgers here and they were delicious. The burgers were cooked to the perfect temperature and super tasty. The mussels were our favorite part. They came out piping hot with a baguette. Would highly recommend visiting for lunch & enjoying the mussels as an app with a burger as your main meal. You'll leave here full and happy!

Was a recommendation from our hotel, and my entire family was delighted. Our server was on top of things. The food was the total bomb. Highly recommend the mussels, calamari, and Argentinian burger! One of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Enjoy!

Fantastic burgers! The burger-fry pairings are on point here. My wife got a burger with Gruyère and mushrooms and it was paired with truffle steak fries (amazing). I ate the blue cheese and marmalade burger with sweet potato fries with smoked pineapple dipping sauce. 100% must try if you are a fan of savory sweet mixtures.

Our experience was so, so. Our server was less than enthusiastic to wait on us or to be there for that matter, maybe some personal issue, who knows. Our burger was okay, I don't get all the hype about the burgers here cause, for the price I can get a better one at my local pub here in Michigan, our fries were greasy and limp, but at least our beer was cold. The place was clean and has a cool vibe. Very cool looking and well stocked bar.

THE FOOD We had the mussels as appetizer - let me tell you!!! Delicious doesn't quite describe it. They were more like finger licking good 😂 the wedge salad 👌🏽 Tried the Argentinian and the chorizo burgers. I'm not gonna lie, the chorizo was my favorite. I LOVE going to a place where food doesn't need any more flavoring because it's just perfect. THE SERVICE We were lucky to have the lady in the picture as our server. She was phenomenal; very knowledgeable and friendly. She took her time to explain their dishes and make suggestions according to our taste. THE PLACE The place is beautiful. I was surprised it wasn't more full of customers, but maybe because of the long holiday. The music was very nice and you don't need to raise your voice to speak to the person across the table from you. Service dog friendly 😍

The food was really good. We were sat in the bar section so Wes was our server for the evening, he was friendly. For drinks we got an angry orchard in a chilled glass. We ordered the Curry Cream Mussels as an appetizer, the sauce was very flavorful. For dinner we got 2 burgers, the Argentinian and the Classic American Cheeseburger. They we’re definitely tasty, the burger I chose had chorizo on it and that was not my favorite taste. The fries were thin and crunchy, I loved that. We wanted ranch and mayo to dip the fries in but nobody ever came around to check on us after the burgers came out.. 😕 Aside from that - everything was good. We will most likely come back to give it another try, I’ll probably order the sliders next time.

Best burgers in town and best restaurant in Louisville! Do not skip the "dates in a blanket", the wings, and the sweet potato fries with pineapple sauce. The mussels are great, and the burgers are legendary (order the B.B.B.). We visited twice in 3 days - it's that good!

Phenomenal food, wonderful atmosphere, and top tier staff. This is the kind of restaurant that all others should be measured against. Nice classic feeling inside with the old tile and hardwood floors. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an excellent burger

The food was great, but service was lacking. I basically had to ask the bartender multiple times to refill my glass. She did give a good recommendation, so I do applaud her for that. As far as the food, I highly recommend the Mussels! They were fantastic!

This place was so impressive that we ended up going twice during our stay! We first went for dinner with a large group. Our server was great and food/drinks were quick to come out. We were really impressed both by the cocktails and the quality of the food. It was delicious and the portions were generous. We ended up going back a few days later for lunch and had an equally great experience. The location is close to several distilleries so I recommend you walk to it in between distillery tours!!

Delicious food! Great atmosphere! Fantastic service! Had a wonderful dinner at Mussel & Burger Bar before a show at the Kentucky Center. The mussels were amazing! And the wedge salad was the best I have ever had.

The curry mussels were amazing. The seafood sliders were ok. I think the cakes were made perfectly but the sauce is a little weird. The waitress was amazing. It can be a bit of a wait to sit but it's worth it.

Don’t have a picture of everything I ordered, but I got the short rib nachos, the NY strip steak and the steak truffle fries. I know not everyone is a fan of how large their fries are, but I absolutely LOVE them! The potato chip nachos were different but still delicious, basically a meal in and of itself. The entree was cooked very well, so no complaints! Went with a group of friends and everyone’s meals looked amazing. It all adds up at the end, but well worth it!
