This was the first visit to this place for my wife and I and we absolutely loved it. The environment was similar to the beer halls I have visited in Germany, but lacking the long tables bolted to the floors (probably for good reason - to keep drunk patrons from dancing on the tables, sustaining personal injury and suing the place out of existence). The volunteers pouring the beer and serving food were very friendly and accommodating. On this particular afternoon, a polka band was setting up for an evening of traditional beer hall music. The Bierstube was charming as well. Prices were reasonable and the other patrons were very friendly as well. I look forward to visiting again when the weather is warmer so we can experience the biergarten. We absolutely loved the draft beer selection. I am a big fan of German beer and they had some of my favorites including Weihenstephaner and Franziskaner. Someone did an excellent job with the authentic German beer selections.

Went during Maifest and had a blast. Biergarten is good for the soul. Brats, pretzels and an impressive selection of German beer on draft. A large outdoor hall makes for a lovely music venue.

Loved, loved it. Very crowded for Octoberfest, but the line for dinner moved very quickly. very organized and efficient and the food was very, very good. Dinner was inside in A/C. After dinner we went outside to enjoy the music and different booths with all kinds of cookies, candy, souvenirs. Really had a good time. Only downside was parking. The lot is small and we had to park a little way from there, but nice day for a walk.

Super place for Oktoberfest, with very friendly nice folks. We enjoyed the food and drink of our German heritage, and the people here filled us in on many interesting facts about the beer steins and history of the celebration, highly recommend stopping by for any of their great events, which I am told they have a Biergarten ever couple of weeks!

Would somebody please tell me why I waited 40 years to come to this place? What a special experience. Great food, incredible beer, and wonderful ambiance. A true gem that more Louisville need to experience.

A wonderful addition to the community. The Oktoberfest celebration is always fun. Check with the monthly schedule for more family fun activities and gatherings. Very good food and import beer. Huge fest hall and plenty of outdoor seating.

Besides being out of all the best food less than 2 hours into the event it was amazing! I'm actually going to become a member with my family!

German-American Club put on a nice Christkindlemarkt for not being in Germany. Had a Hofbrรคuhaus Delicator to sip on while walking around.

Louisville's hidden gem. We have been coming here for years but finally became members this year. Such a fun place to come eat some authentic German food and drink some good beer.

So friendly, great food and beer, fantastic parade today, got to see a keg tapped and free samples. Just can't go wrong, very much for all age groups! Come out and enjoy all the booths, great entertainment and the friendless of the greatest people on earth!

So nice to see so many genuinely nice people gather together to celebrate German heritage. The facility is clean and well-kept, and the food and beer are outstanding! A safe and friendly environment where the whole family can relax and enjoy some real German hospitality. I absolutely love this place!

It is fun to go to the GAC anytime, but Octoberfest is truely a great time to go. You get to meet a bunch of fun people and drink some incredible German beers

We were there for Octoberfest, it is a very pleasant event, lots of people, music, beer and food. They had a $5 cover charge, food was a bit pricey, about $25 per person with no drink or desert. We will go again next year.

Great atmosphere, food, beer and music. Get there early for happy hour. Only critique, and not big enough to eat at four stars, is there were so many people that some didn't have a table and had to eat where they could. This is why I say to get there early. Love the German American Club!
