Since we had our first date at a Tumbleweed 19yrs ago on Valentine's Day we decided to stop by today. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Our waitress was the best part of the meal. She was friendly, professional, and always prompt with refilling our drinks. Sadly the meal left much to be desired. The majority of the chips for the salsa were bendable instead of crunchy. My husband ordered a chicken and mushroom quesadilla and the shell on it was overcooked to the point that it seemed more crunchy than the chips. I ordered a steak and chicken fajita and I was surprised that it was actually a huge pile of onions with very few small pieces of steak and chicken. The side bowl of lettuce, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole had apparently gotten hot because the lettuce was very wilted and the shredded cheese beginning to melt. Thankfully, we were able to keep our sense of humor over this meal because on that first date 19 years ago at another Tumbleweed they lost our ticket two times (or so they told us) so it took 2 hours to get our food! We figure it must just be our luck at this restaurant chain.

Got seated right away, waitress came out took our drink order and gave us chips and salsa and didn't bring our drinks out until 15 minutes later, we got our margaritas first and then our water we ordered 5 minutes later. Came back 10 minutes later to take our order, 2 tables came in got their order taken and was eating before she took our food order, we were there for 1 hour total for 2 people, the whole place was almost empty when we left! Horrible service for us, there were servers who were busy and getting orders out just not ours! But the food is what I have a problem with ,we paid $18 for a chicken and steak fajitas that had about 3 piece's of chicken strips and 4 piece's of steak and a quarter slice of peppers on it. I have never seen fajitas where you can see most of the plate? My order of fries had to be the bottom of the bag, all broken and hard. We just wanted to get our food and get out of there, I will not go back. Our waitress was not friendly and acted like she didn't want to be there and stayed in the back most of the time.

Do NOT go here! I don't usually write negative reviews, but if I can spare one person from wasting his/her time and money, I will have done a good deed. We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The service was VERY slow, and the food quality was not that great. I think most people could have created the same meal at home with some tortillas, a can of beans, cheese, and a microwave. The complimentary salsa had the consistency and taste of ketchup with some stewed onions and peppers tossed in. Our bartender/server disappeared for over 20 minutes and never did return before we finally asked a waitress to assist us and close us out. The other potential diners had similar looks of disappointment as we sat waiting together experiencing our lack of service. The floors, entry doors, bar, and common area were very dirty and disgusting also. If you are considering eating here, please go somewhere else and enjoy a better experience.

Rooted in Tex Mex cuisine Tumbleweed is passionate about delivering an unmatched experience No matter the craving, the menu features authentic Tex Mex and traditional favorites with a twist! Treat yourself with a appetizer and a frozen, or rocks margarita. Lunch, dinner or anytime in between Tumbleweed This tumbleweed has been serving the community for a very long time. It has good food and reliable service . My family had been eating here for over ten years . The menu has changed a lot over the years I subtract points because they no longer have my favorite dish Tamales. Today I had the sirloin is was very good . I subtract points for the bathrooms today. Overall a nice place for a family meal Update 1/2023 visited with my family for a celebration Six people good service Waitress great Food good , one person not happy with the steak tacos grisly and cold meat 🥩 The center cut steak was Delicious with great fried corn and sweet potato 😊 🌮🍔🥗🍟🍗🍍🧀🥔🍍🥩🌽🫓🫑🧄🧄🧅🫔 🍺🍷🍸🍹🥃☕️🥤

We originally went to a place down the street and was discusted. When we walked into Tumbleweed, it was just the opposite. Tumbleweed was really clean, staff was friendly, and the food was amazing and plentiful. Compared to other house salads, this one was huge. The steak was delicious and the St. Paddy's margaritas were awesome. The meal came with free chips and salsa. Our total bill was $34. At other places, we've eaten less for more Definitely going back again.

Got a seat right away but we waited quite a while before someone came to help us out .they look like they were under staffed .I did see a now hiring sign lol aside from that the food was reasonably priced and great quality I will definitely recommend this place for a weekend meal

Poor service. Waitress disappeared many times, didn't bring drink refills until after 2 reminders and finally asking another service member for assistance. The restaurant was not busy so we were surprised at the lack of effort from the staff. Incorrect food served to 2 in our party that had to be remade. Not likely to return to this location.

My wife and I have eaten at this tumbleweed quite a few times. When we first started visiting this tumbleweed, everything was topnotch, to say the least . But in the past, probably 2 years the service , the food, atmosphere, the cleaning Ness of the place has gotten really bad, : example the menu had food smeared on the inside portions of it. Our silverware still had dried food on my wife's and mine, we had to ask not to be seated at 3 different places they tried to seat us before we got a clean table without food or dried drinks on it. It's really quite disappointing for the nice set down place to be allowing the employees to run them down like they are.

It was the worst $100 I've ever spent on a meal for two people. The food was under cooked, the steak tasted like lighter fluid, almost never saw our waitress even though there were maybe one or two other tables of people, and the mixed drink was so watered down and had no flavor. The salsa with the chips were horrible and had no spice to them at all. Just overall bad.

Food was cold & thrown together randomly. Burrito Deluxe with tomato’s? No beans? Not topped as ordered. Manager Nana couldn’t care less. To go orders never right but this was inedible. Rice hard & dry in lumps. $40 for slop

Slow and rude customer service. waited 30 minutes for food. Food was cold and not good quality. Had to ask them for a refill was never asked. Asked for small queso and they were going to charge me for a large. The restaurant itself was dirty, dirty rags on the floor. The restrooms were filthy and stayed unclean for the duration of our visit. The smell was nauseating. Waited forever for the check.

Small helping of refried beans (very little cheese) and small helping of mexican rice…fajita’s meat cooked medium was correct and good but the vegetables cooked with the meat were overdone and grease laden. Nicely done shredded lettuce, sour cream, cheese and guacamole! Charged when asked for extra cheese to top my beans.

Food was okay, server seemed over booked because she barely visited our table. Took the host 5 minutes to seat us because no one was at the stand despite there being only a few seated tables. Bar staff and everyone else where friendly, I just felt like they disappeared into the back alot. Food was alright; it is what you would expect from a chain restaurant.

Waitress was not very good. Took a long time to ever tend to us. We had a spill and she just handed us the towel to clean up. Bathrooms had poop smeared everywhere and weren't being cleaned up.

Stopped In for lunch and wasn't sure restaurant was open since there was only 3 cars in the lot. Ordered taco salad and two drinks. Waiter offered chips and salsa but chips were greasy and not up to standard. Salad was pretty plan Jane with what seemed it be meat sauce over lettuce tomato’s and cheese. Had to ask for mild sauce as topping for meal since it didn’t come with it… taco shell also seemed stale and a little greasy to my liking. Restaurant seemed dated and needs updating. I hate to give bad review but I felt that management should taste test the food because it was just plain Jane with no reason to order in the future. It’s disappointing when your drinks are the best part of the meal.

I ate at Tumbleweed on Outer Loop tonight and had ants on our table. Did not discover them until after we ate. Called the manager over (which took 20 minutes), she acknowledged she knew there were ants and had called the pest control company but they had not come out. She offered us 10% off of our bill, which I thought was ridiculous!!! She then came back and said “since you used the buy one get one free, we can’t give you a discount.” I was not happy!!! You acknowledge you have ants on the table and you knew you had ants in the restaurant and you didn’t even comp the meal!!!!!! Health department is the next complaint!!! RIDICULOUS and gross!!!

I had a very nice meal. Food was good. Prices are reasonable. What stood out was the service. We sat at the bar the the bartender was outstanding! She hustled and was making sure everyone was taken care of.

I went to this restaurant 16 years ago when I was last in Louisville. I remember it being good but today this food was beyond horrible. My burrito was nothing more than a flour tortilla with sour cream squeezed on top and a little season salt sprinkled on it. The chicken was completely unseasoned. No flavor at all! My sons steak was half rare and half medium well and parts of it were grey. The Salsa tasted like ketchup with onions and green peppers mixed in. My other sons burger and fries were unseasoned no salt at all. That food was not fit for my dog Izzy who probably would have turned her nose up at it if I brought it home to her. The most fun part of this visit was dragging the food the whole time we were there. It was way over priced especially for it to be so horrible. $112 for 5 people. I bet we would have had a more enjoyable experience if we had gone to Taco Bell!

Would not have put Kentucky in the equation for Tex-Mex, but this spot just outside of the airport in Louisville was great. Our server was on point for a party of 5, and food was amazing. I could drink a cup of their salsa every day, it was that good. Will come back when I visit the Louisville area again.

Honestly, everything about it sucked except the guy that seated us. The waitress seemed to be very unfriendly. When she brought hot The chips and salsa, no one knew which was hot or mild. When the drinks came out, my glass was still dirty inside and out. When I told the waitress she gave me a strange look. The second glass want much better. You could tell that she had rinsed it out but still wasn't very clean. I ordered a sirloin steak medium well. The steak came out very grey looking. Looked more like an old piece of leather. This is not an isolated thing either. Seems to be a tumbleweed type of thing going on. I will never be back to a tumbleweed again. And I would recommend you spend your money elsewhere too. Way over priced for the food and service that you receive.

We ate here about 3 weeks ago. I used to have fond memories of eating at Tumbleweed when we had one in Elizabethtown, until I visited this location. Our server didn't write down our order. This would be fine if she didn't get both of our orders wrong. Then we got flimsy excuses when I pointed it out. We eventually did get everything. The food wasn't as good as I remembered it unfortunately. I won't be visiting Tumbleweed any time soon.

We had a little get together for my sons 17 bday. Friday 2. Service was slow. Drinks were hard to get. Flow needed help. Need some teamwork skills.

We have been regulars for years, bar is great, atmosphere is great, food isn’t very good most nights. Most our meals in carry out seems to be either over cooked or undercooked. I made a decision to not eat here any more. We will still visit bar but not do dinner.

Never go to this restaurant. The food and steaks were terrible. The atmosphere was not at all enjoyable. I will never go here again. The floors were sticky and the employees didn't want to be there. On the menu, it says unlimited milk but if you only drink regular milk don't even ask for chocolate. They don't have any. My friend's burger was raw. My steak was grey. Never ever again.

I called on a Thursday night to bring a work group of 23 for a retirement party the following afternoon. The manager I spoke with, Anana was very nice and helpful and told me it was no problem. I arrived the next afternoon early and the tables were already pushed together with chips, salsa, silverware, and menus ready for everyone. Our server did a wonderful job with such a large party! It was a great afternoon and I am really happy with how it al turned out and how great Tumbleweed did! Thanks!

I haven't been to this particular location for a very long time since they rebuild from the fire. We had a party of 4. I ordered a glass of frozen strawberry margarita 🍹 and a beef burrito deluxe dinner. They were tasty and delicious. Our server and her trainee were very friendly and fabulous. 👍

We paid $45 for 2 combo fajitas (we asked for medium rare steaks, we got well done, and the chicken was dry), 2 side salads (with mediocre, soggy toppings), ice cold “steamed” veggies, and “sauteed” mushrooms (swimming in watery mushroom broth, didn’t taste any butter at all). This meal was so disappointing. We were on time to pick our food up, and we live 2 minutes away. There’s no reason the food should have been cold and soggy. It’s like they don’t even try. I’m sad I spent the money, it wasn’t worth it. Don’t bother coming here, it’s a waste. I only gave it 3 stars because the girl running curbside was nice and quick to bring our food out and we weren’t technically missing any items.

Store #008. 2/11/24 @ 12:04p. Went to place an order. Girl came out and told me I had to go to the bar to do a to go order. Never had to do this before. Waited approx 10 min for someone to show up. She evidently was delivering other orders. placed my order #0013. Two burito dinners with an extra order of rice. Bill came to $34.95. Got home with our order and there was no extra rice. Paid for it but didn't get it. This is the 2nd time it's happened. First time I let it go. Not this time. Wished I had checked it before I left. Husband very upset because he loves the rice.
