Stopped by to see the Witches' tree. Sadly we did not see any of the decorations on the tree from other people. Must be an off season. We will come back in the spring and see her when her leaves are back and it's warmer. A fun story attached to the tree and looks mystifying. I was hoping it was the most decorated tree in the area.

Creepy but cool. I don't know really anything about this tree but it is real and it's easy to get too. I enjoyed finding it. It is decorated with a lot of symbols. According to local lore, in the late 19th century, this tree was the gathering place for a coven of witches. There they performed their ceremonies and generally didn’t create too much of a nuisance. Until, that is, a city planning committee decided to remove the tree ahead of the annual May Day celebration. After visiting the tree on a mildly warm day, me and my wife got back into the car and when I started it the heater was running full blast. The air and heat were off when we stopped at the tree. The car is a 2023 and I have never had any problems with it. So you decide what could of made the heat turn on by itself.

One of the longtime local residents living near here saw me taking photographs.. the couple gave me a brief history of the guy that used to run a haunted ghost tour around Louisville that saw this misshapen tree and fabricated a story about it being a witch's Hangout. That makes it even more hilarious and notable then if it were an actual cursed tree. Makes it even more important !.Well.. it does ! Haha . So we went twice, and hope it grows again for the spring before we leave

It was a very cool place to see. So glad we stopped by and could see and hear the story behind the Witches' Tree. I left an offering at the tree. According to legend I will receive good luck and fortune for the rest of my days. So mote it be.

Cool tree right in the middle of old Louisville on the corner of the street. Not sure what it’s significance is, but it’s still a cool thing to see it all decorated.

Wicked looking tree, and an interesting spot. I didn't take anything to leave in the tree this time, but there were so many different things other people left; beads, t-shirts, ornaments, etc. Really cool spot.

Kinda a neat tree, didn't really have a lot of stuff on it that people left. Plenty of graffiti, and the area smelled so bad of sewage.

I never knew this tree existed in Louisville ... what a neat story it has. And, I didn't see the faces and other forms in the trunk until the next day. We saw this tree as part of a ghost tour, but you can go see it anytime for free. Just don't remove any of the items on the tree unless you want a life of bad luck.

We just found out where it was and went to it. Just happened to be the same time as a tour was coming through. It was awesome.

We made a quick stop to check out the Witches Tree that is situated on the corner of two streets in Old Louisville. I enjoyed reading about the legend and looking at all of the trinkets left behind. The surrounding area is rich in architecture. I was disappointed that I didn’t plan ahead and bring a gift to leave but found a couple things in the car, hoping for some good juju from Mother Nature!

Me and my friends stopped by to see The Witches's Tree on our way leaving Lousiville. We saw a neighbor nearby she was really friendly and offered to take our pictures. And told us about the neighborhood, and how they have a lot of traffic stopping by to see the tree. While we were there. A local Lousiville walking tour had a group of people stop by the tree, and the host asked us would we like to hear the Legend and Lore of The Tree. So if you are ever passing through Lousiville it's definitely a stop to visit and leave an Offering to the Witches πŸ–€

Pretty cool and eccentric landmark of Louisville. Typically it has more "offerings" on and or near the base of the tree. But looks like the tree has been cleaned up. Still an interesting place to check out.

If you are in the area and close by - stop and see it. If not, not sure it's worth a drive just for the tree. We came in the area to experience Old Louisville and found the tree at the corner of the park. It was cool to get out and see it and see the offerings other visitors had left. It's twisty and tangly and beautiful. I did not have much of an offering to leave, but I did place my hand on the tree and speak to the ancestors and speak some positivity and blessings into it in. It is kind of awkward that it is actually located in someone's yard on a residential street so I felt a bit like I was imposing... but not too much obviously lol Cool stop while we were in the area.

Such a cool tree with quite an enchanting story behind it. I went on Halloween night to see it and it was pretty cool! So many little trinkets hang on its branches . I made ture to leave behind my own little bauble . A little crystal πŸ–€

Interesting story behind this tree goes back over 100 years. Definitely worth a visit to see everything on the tree.

It was captivating, interesting to say the least, following the story behind this beautiful creation from GOD. Happy I got to view this piece of art. Suggestions, everyone must see it once. Neat!!

This is an Osage Orange Tree, nothing more, nothing less. It would be more enchanting if it wasn't surrounded by sewage smell. No tickets needed.

A great place close to park and interesting photo. Just stop for curiosity and pics. Some tiny offerings from other curiosity seekers.

As a pagan witch, it was an awesome sight for me. You can definitely feel the energy from the tree. I've been a few times and left gifts for the tree and witches, and the last time I went, my life started changing for the better. It's going to give what you put in, and it's a must see and feel if you're a high vibrational person who believes in karma and the universe looking out for you. I'll go back soon for sure! Witches are sorely misunderstood and falsely depicted.

It’s literally a tree in someones yard. I went on a walk to look at it, very very cool. I would definitely recommend just stopping to check it out on a warm sunny day. Enjoy fellow tree people’s.

It's private property, and police running around this area for checking about wrong parking or trespassing.

It's a funky old tree. Visit if you are in the neighborhood.
