    It was my puppies 1st time ever getting groomed, so she was excited, but the groomers were kind, gentle and patient with her! I loved the results and them suprising me by dressing her up with a adorable handkerchief was just so cute and special!

    Wow This is probably the cleanest store I've ever been in, and it didn't even smell bad. The first thing I noticed from outside, was on the left side an enormous Terrier in the window. Its like a mutant. I forgot to ask how much is that doggie in the window. This Pet Smart has so much to offer. In house animal clinic/hospital, Dog training, Dog grooming, even a Pet Hotel. They were hosting a pet adoption event when we visited. We needed some cat for and a leash. In our area there seems to be a shortage of cat food. I found out why I believe, it's because this store has all of it! Two full isles of food and treats! That's four shelves full for cats. They have a pretty large selection of tropical fish and other small animals, parakeets and such. This is the first Petsmart that seemed offer so much and it's all being utilized. Very active. A Golden Retriever was being obedient trained in the training pen, 3-4 dogs were being groomed, a couple of dogs were being checked in or out of the hotel. I was very impressed how clean and orderly everything was here. The shelves and racks were well stocked and we took advantage of the clearance items. The manager here must have some happy employees who probably deserve some extra recognition. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Well done 👏

    This review is specific to PetSmart Grooming Salon. I have used the salon for trimming my various dog's nails for 10+ years. I'm begging the Salon/Grooming department PLEASE allow me to make an appointment for nail trims only!!! I currently have 2 rescue dogs (70+ lbs & 50 lbs). If I arrive at the salon by 8:55am, I have to wait until every 9am appointment checks in and receives service before I get called back. One of my dogs is VERY high anxiety and I have to walk her around the store for 20-40 mins waiting on her name to be called. It's highly stressful for my dog and for myself. I have to bring my 2 dogs completely separately because I can't handle walking them both around the store for endless minutes just waiting to be "fit in". When it's takes me 45 mins for 1 dog, I then have to go home and exchange dogs and then back on the list again and have to wait around appointments!!! I just want to be able to make an appointment so I can bring my 2 dogs into the store, drop them off immediately, and have them done together. I'm begging you again PetSmart Grooming on Westport Rd... please allow appointments for nail trims!!! My dogs are always short hair and I don't need help with baths or brushes, JUST NAIL TRIMS! Pics of Oakley and River are attached for attention. I should add that the 3 stars is only because of the appointment issue. The grooming salon employees have done nothing but be kind, helpful and good at their jobs.

    I went in there needing 4 coats for my little baby Nigerian dwarf goats and they had a wide selection of small dog coats that worked perfectly and the staff was awesome.

    Sandy is an ABSOLUTELY DOLL! What a wonderful employee she is! Even though it was near closing time, she had a smile on her face and was sooo nice to me while checking out🙂 Please make sure you tell her she made my evening 😊

    Rodney the manager is absolutely AMAZING! I have a very skittish large puppy who has a loud bark and deep growl. She’s not mean but most back away from her. Rodney stepped up and took my dog for a walk around the store doing everything in his power to help her relax. She was able to get groomed and he recommended doggie daycare. Her first day was yesterday and what a difference a day can make. Thank you to Rodney for taking that extra step and making sure my puppy felt safe and love while in this store. I highly recommend Robin as a groomer as well! She was so good with my fur baby and gave her the best cut. I’m very impressed with Rodney, Robin and this store!

    We used PetSmart grooming services for the first time on Saturday 8/19/2023. Stephanie D. did an amazing job grooming Smalls. He went from a shaggy overgrown schnauzer to this handsome boy. Thank you!

    I took my labradoodle in to get shaved. He had received a bath 2 wks ago from PetSmart. So he should of been an easy shave. No mats. No tangling. The groomer inspected him to make sure he didn’t have mats. Then they left me a voicemail stating that they were changing my price from $90 to $132. And that they were changing his breed from a labradoodle to a bernadoodle (a larger breed). Also I was going to get charged a fee because he was moving during shaving. This should of been discussed prior to them starting on my dog. They left this message after they started. She inspected my dog infront of me beforehand. Never mentioning that he was going to cost extra. Meanwhile he was only charged $85 a few months back when he got changed. At the same place. I called them and told them I wasn’t paying $132. That wasn’t discussed. And it’s not ok to just change a price without consulting the customer before you begin. I paid the original price I was quoted and I will not be back. Do NOT let this place make up their own prices with out discussing the change with you beforehand! It’s not ok for businesses to just bump a service up an extra $42 and change my dogs breed in the system. My dog is 100% a labradoodle. I have papers on my dog stating that. He is a standard size labradoodle. He was quoted $90 because he’s a labradoodle. I don’t know how they think it’s ok to just change the breed in their system. I had $110. $90 for service and the rest for tip. I left only paying what I owed. I work on tips and I love tipping people! But I’m not tipping if someone is trying to make me pay more money than I had expected. Will not be back. Ever.

    Second trip there, and they can't even cut my dogs nails, and this is a "pet hospital"??? Not equipped for it, he's just medium sized dog that just doesn't like his nails cut, never had this issue before, not ever going back again.

    I like to support local when possible, but a lot of PetSmart’s sales and promotions can’t be beat. This is the best PetSmart location in Louisville, by far. Super friendly and helpful staff. They have been so accommodating when I have had to split orders up to use rewards and coupons. Plus the store is always clean and laid out well, which I appreciate.

    Laurn is the best groomer i only take my baby to her she does exactly as i want and my baby is very happy when i pick her up and shes always happy to see Laurn thanks for a job well done

    I have a Boxer pup that tends to get ear infections/yeast infections really bad. I found an ear medicine here for $25 that works wonders. Saves me from paying over $100 for a trip to the vet. It's cool you can take your dog shopping w you here too.

    My Dreamie's favorite store. ❤ Hi! I’m just a tropical kitty from Sunny So Flo who loves to take a load off and recline. I was also raised in Dade and my interests are to ease up into snacking, resting, sleeping, relaxing and being catered paw-to-paw by my Pet Human. Then, after that’s been established, I like to zone into the chillax factor in the following ways… 🐱 Lounge around, stretching, doin’ some kitty yoga and taking it real easy along with extended breaks with a few bags of catnip tossed wherever the place. Then, it’s off to napping around and being as comfortable as possible for the most part of the day. Then I’ll doze off to a calm repose, while hangin’ loose while easily composing myself into a befitting snooze by the window sill or the center of the bed. See, it all depends on the day ‘cuz it can change a little you know. Sometimes, I’ll engage in closet time, watch a little ACtv, do some carpet swimming and have my pet human play red dot, (gotta do the hunting skillz thing) because for some reason, it’s important to her. So, whatever! 🐈 Then, if I’m in the mood, I’ll go to the water bowl and spill that H2O on the hardwood floor because I need to keep my Pet Human in check. It’s payback for the red dot thing she had me do earlier. Then, I’ll take the edge off by annoying my Pet Human after she comes home from work and begin to mitigate tasks for her to perform because “dogs have owners, cats have staff.” And finally, if I don’t receive my bedtime snackies, I’ll make sure to strategically barf on the area rug she has right beside her bed so that she’ll step on it when she gets up in the mornin’. Man!! It’s great to be me! Because despite all this, she’s cray-cray about me. 😎

    One of my best pet smart locations. Staff are so friendly, store is clean and they have everything you might need. I believe they do have a hotel for your pets besides the training. They cmhave few other animals

    The Store on Westport Road is the Best in Louisville. If your there to buy Food or Treats for Cats or Kittens, they keep a wide variety of Brands. EX: Fancy Feast, Purina One, etc. This store offers a Pet Hotel (with an employee there all night) for Dogs and Cats. The store off Hurstbourne Ln I'm sorry to say is the worse in Louisville. They have not a wide variety of Cat Food, & the ones they offer I could guarantee the Type or Flavor you want, this store will be out!! The Staff was excellent 8 years ago, now the staff has Zero Personality. It concerns me as they have a "Cat Adoption Cnt". I pray the Cats & Kittens are shown Love & Care!! The mgr late one evening said in front of me "why do people wait until last minute to come in here"??!! He was very angry!! This concerns me.

    Clean and easy to find what your looking for. Offer a wide selection of product. Great deals! Customer service is a little hard to find when needing help. Check out prices dont ring up for what item prices are marked as. So watch as you check out that you are charged right

    I sent my dog to the pet's hotel inside of this facility although everything went great at check-in and checkout but my dog has not been the same since hes been home! I gave it a few days and my dog is still showing odd /off behavior! He just won't be back

    I took my golden retriever here to get a bath and a trim and have taken them both here for a bath and brush before. Maple was with Bree at the grooming salon and she did amazing!! She was very sweet and I felt good leaving my baby with her. When we picked her up she was so happy and looked & smelled amazing! Thanks bree!

    Friendly, helpful staff who like their work. Clean and well-organized store. I've used the Grooming Salon and the Pet Hotel frequently and have always been impressed with how careful they are with my sweet dog who came from a poor situation before I adopted her. ❤️🤗

    My daughter had adopted a rescue kitten and it was catching it's little sharp claws in everything. I had gone online looking for kitten nail clippers in store near me. I purchased online and picked up in the store. I picked them up and after looking at them, I walked to where they were displayed. I noticed a different pair for a lot smaller nails. I took them to the cashier, showed her the difference between the two and told her I had messed up online. She told me it was not a problem and exchanged them for me immediately. I was surprised but very pleased! I'm not sure why I was surprised because because both stores I have been to had staff that was friendly and wanted to help me. They definitely seem to want their customers to be pleased and come back.

    The store says the wait times are due to staff shortages. So, I would not recommend this place right now because with staff shortage, the cleanliness is lacking (resulting in my dog getting Kennel Cough). And the charge a lot to have no way to keep an eye on your pet. No video to watch your pet in play time or anything. Plus I ask several questions about about his interests in things he done, and clearly no communication between staff because evening couldn’t tell me what happened during daytime hours. So, my dog did seem happy but I’m not sure that this was for his best interest!!

    This location was my favorite but now it’s a headache to schedule an appointment with their app. I use to have zero problems with scheduling but now my dog’s breed is listed as an “express service” and cannot schedule an appointment for him. I’ve called the store about the issue and even scheduled an appointment through the phone. Their responses to the issue was they were having issues with their system— which is fine but more than a few months? It should of been resolved and it’s a disappointment to see no resolution to the matter. I would schedule through the phone but it’s a constant headache to reach anybody on the phone since they’re constantly busy.

    Store is always clean and staff has always been friendly, regardless of the time of day or length of the line. Selection is as best it can be with the current supply chain issues. Only negative thing I can add is how it is still unfortunate to see this chain and so many others carrying the holiday themed rawhide items and other bones given the known safety issues with them. I shop at this location every year on Black Friday to get a Christmas themed toy for my dogs and will continue to do so as long as the store continues with the stuffed animal donation for the children’s hospital.

    I arrived for the 10am grooming appointment that scheduled a month in advance. I was informed that my appointment was canceled. I understand that cancelations happen, however, I was not notified about the cancelation. A phone call would have been VERY helpful as I commute to attend these appointments. This is the second time this has happened.

    Just a simple normal trip to petsmart nothing abnormal, until my wife and I proceeded to checkout. We were standing in line. Mitchell noticed the line getting longer and jumped into the third lane and said "I can help whomever is next". Once we got to the third lane Mitchell was so incredibly professional. The kindness that he treated my wife and i with is admirable. Mitchell, you are the reason why we come to petsmart. Thank you.

    Super helpful and friendly staff! We came in with a brand new puppy, and they suggested lots of bred appropriate toys, and even suggested a cat collar for her early puppy days.

    Went to get my dogs nails trimmed and grinder and was told that there was a note in the system that I needed to take him to the vet to get his nails done due to "Staff safety". I have always muzzled him in the past, and he is nervous when they start, but eventually calms. You would think that someone would have made it clear at the last trimming. I wasted my time traveling there. No second chances? Oh well. This is the 2nd issue I've had with Pet Smart. A couple of years ago, I booked in the pet hotel, and several weeks later I received a email that my booking was cancelled??? It was around Derby Day, so I figured that someone more important than me wanted a spot! All in all, mostly nice staff, good selection of food, etc...But so does FEEDERS SUPPLY! Which I plan to stick with in the future.
