The food was delicious and tasty. The owner Mohhamad is very hospitable and friendly and took great care of us. This is my first time eating Ethiopian food and I love it. It’s authentic and fresh especially injera. The homemade coffe was the best part as it was homemade and fresh and served with popcorn. They have plenty of space to eat inside and outside with small grocery store. Definitely recommended and going back.

The food was delicious and the owner was very kind and helpful. The restaurant and grocery has a pleasant feel to it, and the aromas of spices make your mouth water as you enter the door. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I rate it a 10 for the taste and a 10 for the service. We will be back!

This is a cozy restaurant tucked next to the store inside. Ordered the meat platter and veggie platter. Both were decent and the owner/server worked hard to deliver great service. Thankfully, their store carried Ethiopian butter which is essential for cooking Ethiopian dishes at home.

EASILY the best Habesha food in Louisville. I took my friends there a few weeks ago and we were NOT disappointed. Top tier service and atmosphere. Food was incredible too!!!! I grew up around Habesha people so I do not play about my East African food!!!!! Habesha Restaurant and Grocery came through clutch!!!!! My mouth was transported to Asmara after just a few bites

Couldn't recommend more. Food was incredible. Service was amazing. We ordered the #12 and got an insanely huge portion for $25. We specifically complimented a part of the meal and the owner took us to the grocery store and gave us the detailed recipe on how to make it and exactly what we would need to make it. Although we aren't much of cooks it was incredibly nice and appreciated for him to share a recipe with us. 100/10 also the mango juice was amazing and fresh

The food was absolutely amazing, hospitality was above and beyond, and the service was very personal and prompt... You can get family style or individual and was one of the most authentic Ethiopian places I've been to ... Had popcorn and Ethiopian coffee after lunch and it was the best.....I definitely will come back! Love it

What an experience, my friend below is right, do not skip the coffee! The owner was so nice, he danced with us and he made sure we had a great experience. The food was also very tasty, but even if it wasn't, I would still go back just to be treated so well!!!

Seriously good Ethiopian food with great prices and service! Don't let this little hole in the wall fool you. The food here to me is better than Queen of Sheba's with an easier to swallow price tag. Glad I found this hidden gem!

The service was fantastic, couldn't dream of better. The owner was kind, excited, and very helpful. Knew about all the vegan options, which were multiple. The food came out just in time and I was greeted with a heaping plate of lentils, green, cabbage, more food than I could eat in one sitting. Fantastically spiced, I couldn't ask for better.

After long time searching, for good home style food ,I stumbled up on to this new business place from Google search, everything you get from this place is ,it just 100% what you are looking for, me and my fiance we pretty much cleaned up the plates 😊, if you are looking for a real food and you hangry, you are the right place to take care your hunger game.

We ordered one meat & veggie combo and shikla lamb. The gentleman rang us up for two orders of meat & veggie combo. I asked if they have berbere. The gentle confirmed they do. I requested for that -- I did not receive berbere. The meat & veggie plate was VERY LACKLUSTER. Flavors were a bit bland. The dish came with almost nothing -- not even a salad. The lamb was DRY -- it hurt to chew the meat. All so disappointing. With so many other better options in Louisville for Ethiopian food, it'll be an awhile before I give this another try. P.S. I did order for pick up and based on others photos I wonder if the food is better when you order for dine in. Not sure why that would be though.

The lady at the counter is very polite! Word to the wise though, don't bother preordering on grubhub, they don't use it anymore. The injera was great, but the lamb tibsi... Not so much. Maybe it was a fluke (probably was, seeing other customers pictures) but my order was easily 50% bone and broth, with not even enough meat to fill a spoon.
