This
is
a
superb
modern
hotel
with
large
bathrooms
and
spacious
rooms,
meticulously
cleaned
every
day.
It
has
an
extensive
breakfast
with
v
attentive,
polite
and
friendly
staff.
Indeed,
all
staff
are
wonderful.
This
is
a
hotel
which
is
100%
committed
-
in
the
smallest
detail
-
to
guests
having
a
thoroughly
enjoyable
stay.
This
really
is
'Service
with
a
smile'
Superb
location:
In
the
heart
of
the
city
in
a
good
neighbourhood
with
many
interesting
restaurants.
Armenian
food,
anyone?!
There's
even
a
Lidl
nearby.
The
San
Sebastio
Metro
is
a
5
minute
walk
away,
which
is
served
by
the
Red
and
Blue
lines.
It
couldn't
be
easier
from
the
airport.
A
20
min
ride
to
San
Sebastio
Station
at
the
end
of
the
Red
Line.
Simple.
However,
the
4
different
exits
can
be
v
confusing
and
are
significantly
far
apart,
so
to
avoid
getting
lost,
pay
attention
(!):
(From
the
airport):
If
the
doors
of
the
train
open
on
the
right,
exit
onto
the
platform
and
turn
left.
If
the
doors
of
the
train
open
on
the
left,
exit
onto
on
the
platform
and
turn
right.
IE
Walk
in
the
same
direction
that
the
train
had
been
travelling
in.
(While
you're
at
it,
marvel
at
the
stunning
modern
architecture
of
station
with
its
huge,
shiny
ventilation
pipes,
clean
lines,
tiles
and
glass)
In
exiting
the
station,
take
the
left
exit
and
up
the
stairs.
You
will
see
a
crossroads
with
traffic
lights
nearby
in
front
of
you,
with
the
mature
trees
of
Gulbenkian
Park
on
the
other
side
of
the
road.
Turn
right
at
the
crossroads
(without
crossing).
The
hotel
is
located
a
few
minutes
away
in
the
2nd
turning
on
the
right
(Avenida
Miguel
Bombarda)
at
the
near
end.
To
get
further
into
the
city
using
the
Metro,
use
Blue
Line
from
the
same
station
(San
Sebastio):
You
need
either
to
use
a
different
entrance,
or,
far
easier
IMO,
use
the
same
entrance,
which,
of
course,
takes
you
back
onto
the
Red
Line
platform.
However,
you
proceed
to
the
other
end
of
the
platform,
go
up
the
stairs
and
follow
signs
to
the
Blue
line.
SO,
if
you
are
returning
from
the
city
using
the
Blue
line,
to
find
the
best
exit
for
the
hotel,
you
head
for
the
red
line,
and
walk
the
length
of
the
platform
and
up
the
stairs
at
the
other
end.
It
is
easy
when
you
get
the
hang
of
it.
Remember;
the
exits
are
significantly
apart.
When
we
arrived
from
the
airport
we
came
out
of
the
wrong
exit,
and
Google
Maps
wasn't
responsive,
so
we
kept
going
in
the
wrong
direction.
Google
Maps
even
took
us
to
another
exit
using
the
correct
road
name!
Painful!
So,
follow
my
directions
meticulously
and
you'll
be
fine.
AND
FINALLY:
The
nearby
free-to-enter
Gulbenkian
Park
gardens
with
their
ponds,
lakes,
water
features,
sculptures,
mature
trees,
sunny
open
grass
areas,
superb
brutalist
architecture
of
the
museums
(if
you
appreciate
such...
as
I
do!),
and
delightful
cafe
are
an
utter
joy.
Absolutely
must
NOT
be
missed,
and
is
just
3
minutes
walk
away
from
the
hotel.
There
is
even
a
wonderful
ice
cream
parlour
on
the
other
side
of
the
road
from
the
park
entrance.
Lisbon
is
a
delightful
city
with
friendly,
kind
and
helpful
people.
And
if
you
have
booked
this
hotel,
you
have
struck
GOLD!
ENJOY!
PS
-
Sorry,
but
I
only
have
photos
of
the
Park.
