An excellent place

Magnificent temple, even now that the eight columns are restored, it is beautiful!!!! It is a temple in which we clearly feel in communion with the Divine!!! Light, space... everything invites you to an encounter or reunion with God!

The Church of Nossa Senhora da Purificação or Igreja Matriz de Bucelas is located in the center of the town of Bucelas in the municipality of Loures. The church occupies a prominent place and establishes itself as a historical reference of primary importance for the locality. Built in the 16th century (1566), its value stands out for the baroque decoration of its interior, which includes a sculpture of the Holy Trinity, the mother of Christ and the 12 apostles.

I'm from far away and I'm in a fila armonica band and I went to play the bucelas, when we finished playing and were going to dinner I saw the church and it was very beautiful, with good details! I recommend you go visit the church.

The mixture of pure gold in the 18th century gilded carving and also silver coated with yellow varnish, imitating gold, is very interesting. The gold corresponds to the oldest carving and the gilded silver to the most recent.
