I stayed for two weeks at Zambeachhouse and took surf classes with Steve. I enjoyed it very much! Steve is a great teacher, he was very patient with me and gave me a lot of helpful advices. Even with a bit rough conditions I had a lot of fun and Steve managed to always find a sweet spot with good waves for me. Steve and Ruth are very warmhearted hosts. The room was clean and had everything I needed. The neighborhood is quiet, so I could get some good sleep after surfing. The shared kitchen is very well equipped, so I had some nice cooking there. I definitely can recommend the Pilates class with Joana nearby. She came to the hostel too for a yoga class. For sure I will come back to this great place!

This is my 2nd time staying here for surf camp! Steve is a great host, the place has very friendly staff, friends and guests. The place is nothing fancy but it has everything you need: clean & quiet rooms, wifi, kitchen and a pool. Walking distance to beach, restaurants and grocery store so no need for a car. You can get surf lessons or great tips for surfing around the area from the host and other surfers staying in the hostel. Will definitely go back again soon!

Very beautiful Surf Hostel with everything you need to relax and enjoy a perfect stay. I loved how close the place was to the sea. Very clean, kind and respectful staff and other guests. Always someone around to ask in case you need help or have questions. I will definitely come back 🥰

I stayed for 9 days in a private room, surfing everyday. The family who owns the hostel and the staff are very calm and friendly. I met some nice people among the guests and had a chilled time in between and after the sessions.

Steve is a wonderful surf coach. He is very friendly, patient, flexible and spontaneous. As external participants that did not stay at the hostel, our group still had a great time taking surf lessons with him. He is always on the lookout for the best surf spot of the day, constantly adapting his lessons to the waves, weather conditions and individual skills. Lesson prizes include gear rental and the drive to the best surf spot. Steve supports some of his lessons by filming students and analysing common mistakes together, which is very helpful.

Steve is an excellent surf coach. His lessons are for both absolute beginners but also more advanced surfers well suited. He takes his time when explaining the theory and is an absolute pro when navigating in the ocean to find the best spots for the group. Keep up the great work 🏄‍♂️

I had a private room, which was great. The hosts Steve and Lisa went out of their way to make me feel at home. The room was clean and close to the restaurants and beach. Definitely recommend going here!

Had a great stay in this hostel! The rooms and the hostel itself was super clean, the staff extremely pleasant, and the other guests were clean as well. The hostel has a nice pool area where we were chilling on the sun all day, or lounging on the chairs on the balcony to catch the last rays of sun🙈 there were surfboards and bikes available to borrow if needed, and they really helped us out with anything we needed (even when we didn’t find a ride to the hostel on the night of check in, Steve came to pick us up, which we appreciated so much). If we’re coming back to praia de areia branca, this is definitely the place we’re staying at again🫶🏼
