I am very disappointed when the warranty is so bad and the service staff and service manager do not respect customers. My car was in normal use, but when I took it in for maintenance, when I received it, it had freezing display and going to black errors, and I came back shortly after to ask questions and was accepted to replace the part and then still kept having the problem again and i had to go back a second time with update software and immediately the problem came back again. I am very unhappy with my newly purchased car having this problem less than a year. And I had to come back for a third time and the service guy decided to do a long service and I had to leave my car for almost a week and then the staff took my car all night with all the Harsh Braking , Harsh Cornering and Fast Acceleration reported continuously through the Toyota app on my smartphone all night and then continued to use my car the next morning to go to Home Depot. I was very upset and went back to the dealer on Monday morning to ask for an answer from the service manager and he broke his promise by not solving my car problem and also calling me back and the next day but he didn't call me for the next few days. I am very disappointed and frustrated with this dealer's very bad way of working from management to staff….

Buyer beware! Very disappointing experience. I bought our first Toyota at Anderson back in 2006 and still drive it and service it there today. I have also bought our last three vehicles at Anderson NIssan. Never had a bad experience until now. I test drove a new vehicle with interest in trading another vehicle. I already did my homework to get the trade value, but the salesman stated their value was almost $2000 less. When I inquired why, he stated it was good condition due to mileage and the year. I informed him that is not what constitutes the condition of the car and it should be very good. I looked at the sheet that "valued" my car for trade and they did not include some key options my car had like moon roof, leather seats, and navigation system. When I told him that he did not give me an accurate trade value due to missing these key items, he stated he could talk to his manager, but it wouldn't be worth much more or apologize for not properly quoting me. As he was talking to his manager, I started to hear the manager get a bit loud. I heard him say "He doesn't really want to buy a car if I would not accept the trade value". I stood up as the salesman came over to me, I thanked him for making my decision easier to not proceed any further. In my lifetime (and a repeat customer at the other Anderson Nissan dealership), I never have experienced such unprofessional conduct from trying to pull a fast one with the trade value not being correct and a Manager talking in the manner that I could hear him from across the sales floor. Within about 5 minutes of my departure I received a phone call from the General Manager. In his voicemail, he apologized for this misunderstanding--basically backtracked the words that he said and that he was training the salesman. Strange to make this statement since the salesman informed me in our introduction he has been there for 4 years! To summarize my experience: I have always been a supporter of our local businesses, but I will no longer support this one. It is people like this that give the car salesman a bad stereotype. I would also think that during this unprecedented time with the Covid-19 and Toyota sales for new cars being down based on the first quarter 2020 financial report you would receive top treatment. I will however continue to support the Anderson Nissan dealership since they know how to treat customers in a professional and ethical manner.

This is our fourth Anderson car purchase we’ve made for our family since 2020. Great service and selection. Low pressure sales. They helped us stay in our budget while offering many options. With the many Anderson properties under this dealership, there was a much wider inventory then just going to a single property car dealer. From the test drives, sales team, financing, and qualified service technicians- it’s been a seamless buying process for all our vehicles. Thank you. Anderson!

WORST experience I’ve ever had in my life. This place is a joke! BUYERS BEWARE and NEVER use this dealership. I’d give ZERO stars if I could. I”ll give a complete run down of the shady and dishonest dealership literally, the WORST, if they have the car you want, GO somewhere else and have them get it. This place will tack on market adjustments and mislead you on the price, DO NOT let them rush you through finance process, READ every line of every document and don’t think for a second this dealership is on your side. Everyone customer I observed inside the dealership that day was either arguing about up charges with salesman or just looks disgusted to be in that environment. My experience, coming out of state and purchased a RAV4 from these idiots. Frank Bleers - We were coming from out of state so this guy initially over the phone was decent. This was only until we discussed purchase price and had everything mostly wrapped up, THEN, $3200 market adjustment up charge, a 3-1 type maintenance service (like $1000), and added theft deterrent called SHADOWMARK. This was on top of TAX and NON-TAX Fees. Please be thorough going through docs and PA, and do it at your pace, they are crooks, they literally rushed, or tried to rush and only showed me the parts of paperwork that needed my signature. It seemed more like arguing than negotiating with this guy but stick to your ground, they’ll cave on the market adjustment and a 3 for 1, YOU DONT have to pay for that. You don’t have to get SHADOWMARK either, your registration copy they give indicates that in BOLD writing. Do they tell you that tho? No, of course lol. Unfortunately, i did get stuck paying for this, but if your going Toyota, You DONT need This and don’t let them tell you anything different. Lastly, to sum up my experience with this guy, 1st, he literally told me, they don’t put market adjustments online and they wait to talk to you about that when you come to the dealership?? 2nd, literally gave us a box/gift for purchasing a car with key chains and pens. It was missing pens lol. Frank indicated they weren’t able to go into the room because no one had a key lol. You can’t make this stuff up! AVOID this dealership! Joe Ristow - I’ll keep it short on this guy cause there’s not much to say. This guy stopped by and talked to me twice, never one did he tell me his name or introduce himself formally. I mean, very socially awkward times when he was around. No social skills and didn’t even say a word when we left lol. I’m sure this guy is book smart and but not at all common sense smart and u professional. I see why they probably keep this guy him behind a desk and away from people somewhat. Lastly, Ryan dilenardo: STAY AWAY from this dude if that’s the office they bring you too for finance materials. SERIOUSLY, walk out and find another dealership. He actually introduced himself initially, pretty forced tho. His tactic is he’ll try to butter you up and downplay the documents your signing, then stick a computer screen in front you, yep you guessed it, he controls all the scrolling and what you see. Did he tell me SHADOWMARK was not a requirement and I didn’t have to go with it to finance with them? NO. They were all the bad salesman and people overall, but This guy and Joe Ristow might be the worst, I’ve ever seen. They will take advantage of you, extort you, and just lack professionalism you would think you might get when you spend that kind of money. We talked them somewhere down like $4,500-$5000, off the asking price but was a dog fight and threatening to walk out every 5 minutes. BUYERS BEWARE and go elsewhere to avoid this disrespectful and unprofessional dealership

The mechanics here are unethical people. They charged me $70 for a diagnostics check when all they had to do was tell me my tire pressure light was on... I confused it with a check engine. They even told me to remove my insurance chip to avoid having the “check engine error” repeat itself.

Went for an oil change on Monday. Waiting for an hour only for them to say we cant do your oil change due to the oil pan screw is corroded and if we try to remove it the oil pan will break. The cost will be about $500. Took my car some where else and he showed me the screw which was clean . And I got my oil changed. Thanks for your honesty Toyota.

I had my first 2022 4Runner appointment today at this dealership. Eddie Brown in the service department did an exceptional job . My husband is a perfectionist when it comes to cars and Eddie took the time to hear him out and communicated to the technicians the extra care my husband was requesting . Eddie was already ready for me when I arrived and greeted me immediately pleasantly and professionally . After the service , he assured me of the extra care with bolt removal to rotate the tires and assessed the result himself. I am happy to come here again to receive service and possible vehicle purchase in the future . Eddie demonstrated work with excellence and he was joyful in his job and not at all inconvenienced . Thank you so much !

I recently brought a 2022 Toyota Corolla. Jeremiah took good care of us (myself and my wife). From giving us the weekend to think about our purchase to getting items we forgot at the dealership to us! Everyone at Toyota was very personable, fair, not pushy and knowedgeable. We were impressed we were able to get a new car right off the lot. Before coming in, I had heard very good things about Anderson and lived up to them. Thank you!!!

Excellent service dept. that's thorough and no nonsense. Ryan Corey and his team are why we chose to drive past other Toyota service centers to come to Anderson. My wife and I both called for estimates on some maintenance required on our car's service schedule. Other dealerships quoted different prices to my wife than were quoted to me. Anderson Toyota gave us both the same answer and their service department performed exactly as advertised. More over I was charged as expected; no surprises. Their inspections are thorough, but there was no move to pressure us into a sale. Everything was reinstalled, and there were no leaks. Sometimes it feels silly to rave about things working as advertised. In this case I think it's justified. This was a uniquely pleasant and hassle-free experience. We will be back.

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I'll be honest, I've had TERRIBLE luck with dealerships in the past. Nobody wanted to help me because my credit was 'below average'. I went to Anderson Toyota not thinking much would come out of it and I was expecting to be treated how I have always been treated in the past by dealerships however, it was the complete opposite! Don Smith greeted me and my family and I explained my situation. His first response was 'let's see what we can do to figure something out, I love a challenge' that made me feel more at ease. I went in on Saturday 09/17/2022 and got approved for my BEAUTIFUL 2015 Chrysler 300 Limited that same day and picked the vehicle up on 09/21/2022. Don and his team made this process beyond easy and any question that I had he answered honestly and professionally. If you are having a hard time at other dealerships and tired of the BS definitely give Toyota Anderson a try and ask for Don Smith!

Very pleased with my experience at Anderson Toyota. Ryan Svatos was a very determined salesman that made sure I not only got the vehicle I wanted but made sure all of my concerns about the Jeep were dealt with quickly. I highly recommend buying your next car from here.

Every time I've taken my car here, I've been met with professionalism, courtesy, and respect. I have had the privilege of working with Eddie in the service department twice now. He's seriously the best. If he's available, definitely ask to work with him. Always friendly, always respectful, always helpful, always a pleasure.

I am totally disappointed in how the service department charges for their services. I went in to get a service check and they came back with a few things they thought my car needed. They gave me the cost... but didn't say that for each of the items they gave me cost for they threw on a few extra dollars and then at the end their was a misc. charges. Example, Cost to replace the spark plugs was going to be $195.00 an extra line item after that was "customer pay shop supplies for repair order $38.50. The addition Misc Charge was 33.50. When I called and asked what it was for they did not have an answer. Well no I had two people give me two answers. One said shop supplies( which would have been charge with the $38.00) And the next person said it was something that was on all invoices. That wasn't an answer to my question. UPDATE: Today I brought my concerns to the Service Manager Rob. He listen and addressed them all. There was only one Misc. charge of $33.80 and it was for shop supplies. The reason it was only 33.80 and not the 38.50 on the line item was I got a $5.00 discount and they took it off the shop supplies. There were other things I asked about and he answered and took care of all of them. My initial review gave them 2 stars, but I have upgraded them to 4 stars because of how Rob took care of me.

This review is for Eloy Sosa and the sales manager at Anderson Toyota. I am very happy overall with my sales experiences with Toyota in general vs. other makers, but this experience was over the top exceptional. I traveled from way out of town to pick up a truck that I had trouble finding closer. They had the truck ready for me and spotless, fixed one minor issue quickly and professionally, got the paperwork done quickly, didn't give me the dreaded half hour long upselling dog and pony show, were very honest about added services, beat my credit union's rate with in house financing, and had me on my way. To top that off I mentioned that I wanted to try Chicago pizza, and as I'm finishing up my paperwork, Eloy walks in with a personal deep dish pizza for me. Man that hit the spot and those kind of old fashioned gestures for the customer are just so rare and appreciated these days. If I could give a 6 out of 5 stars, I would.

Although we didn't purchase a vehicle from them this time around, we have made a purchase we never regretted a couple of years ago when our first was born. Everyone there was kind and curious. They took care of issues we were concerned about. We never felt forced and we were able to view cars and test drive without feeling pressured. That's the perfect way to car shop!

Purchased a new Camry with the help of Dave Gilmore and Ricky. Dave was particularly kind and has a soft-spoken nature that shows respect for customers. Informing and explaining while trying to figure out the best option. I trust that when I bring my car in for maintenance, etc. it will be in good hands, and I will update in the future when that time comes.

Beyond amazing service, I made an appointment and was greeted in the service lane with an amazing costumer service. Told the service writer the issues and was completed right away under warranty. The costumer service here beats Hesser’s Toyota service in every way. I recommend this dealership with 10/10!!

Before deciding on buy my car, I was receiving many emails from Toyota Anderson about their promotions. On September '2022, finally I went to the dealership. They were very kind and they offered me a good deal. The same day I did the 1k down payment. Today, after 7 months later it is time that I do not know anything about my car. Every time when I ask about the status, they give me the same answer: "there is no date for pulling it". Now the emails stopped and no one can tell me when am I going to get my car. Today's day, car is a necessity and it is ridiculous to wait 7 months (and counting) to get my car. Toyota is Toyota, however no worth it if you have to wait too long, better go for a Honda.

From our salesman Frank, to the service department, nothing but great experiences throughout my entire ownership. Have now purchased my car, and let our college grad daughter buy hers here now too. 2022 Loyalty really seems to be a core value here at Anderson. The service department is always friendly and never pushy but good at stressing what is needed for proper vehicle care. Frank is a GREAT guy, I have sent 2 acquaintances to him now, and one after her vacation is going back to him to make her purchase. Super impressed and love that they respect me and my personal reputation as much as they respect their own.

This review is past due. Ask for Adam and Eddie in service for all your vehicle maintenance needs. If you’re looking for the best guy here in Sales ask for Eloy he sold me my Toyota and he speaks Spanish too. All of these guys are very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. These guys have always gone above and beyond in customer service and because of that I drive the distance from Chicago to Rockford each time I need my car serviced. I don’t trust any other Toyota dealership with my car. Thanks guys I appreciate your integrity and passion for your job.

I live in Oklahoma and spent time in IL this summer. I had an oil change done on 8/31. I recently noticed puddles under the car. Had another mechanic look at it today and he said the drain plug wasn’t tightened adequately . When I notified the manager at Anderson’s, he said sorry. No offer of refund or compensating me for my time and additional repair bill. My brother had an engine blow from this same problem. A dealer that can’t change the oil correctly should take care of customer. I do not recommend this dealership. Signed- long term Toyota fan. Anderson- no respect earned or given.

We purchased our 2014 Toyota Prius C from Chris (a low pressure, no pun intended, dealer) here in March and have used their service station for tires, and oil changes and some light bulb installations. Most recently we brought the car in because a sensor light was indicating an issue with tire pressure. They checked the sensors and filled the tires to the correct pressures. Instead of charging us for their specialty tool use they charged me nothing, and didn't chide me for naivete. Thanks Anderson.

I just bought a vehicle from Anderson Toyota today and I worked with Eloy Sosa. I was a little nervous going in because my experience with another dealer there 6 years ago was not great. Eloy was very helpful, kind, and didn't act arrogant like the salesman I had my first time that couldn't seem to follow through on a promise he made during the deal. Eloy followed through, and never made me feel uncomfortable, and didn't talk down to me. I highly recommend him. The man I worked with for financing was also helpful and easy to work with.

Sadly, our experience with Toyota hasn’t been too good. We bought a 2020 RAV4 out of word of mouth about Toyota’s reliability. In the 7 months we’ve owned it it’s refused to start 3 times now. Thankfully roadside assistance has come every time to jump it. We have taken it to Toyota for servicing and we’ve been trying to find the problem, and every time we have been told nothings wrong with it. Thankfully all 3 times the car has refused to start, it was at home. Future problems are a worry if we’re not at home or in a place that roadside assistance can’t reach. It’s a shame we’ve had this experience, but the reliability of a brand new Toyota SUV has been frustrating to say the least.

I bought my FIRST Toyota this past weekend, and my FIRST (of many) Hybrid's at that! I had an awesome experience with Kim Rizvi as my Sales Consultant and Ben Bleed as my Financial Consultant! Kim really went out of his way to help me locate the exact car that I built online and to understand all of the features inside and out of my Prius Four once it had arrived! He was able to answer all of my questions, and help me navigate my options. Similarly, Ben was fantastic to work with, and was able to walk me through options on financing, warranties, and made the transition from my old VW Jetta to my new Prius Four seamless! Highly recommend and will be back again for my next new car!

I was really having high expectations since most of their ratings are above a 4. I initially went for an oil change but when I was there I realized my air pressure light was on and asked if they could help, they said they would. After I got my car back the guy who initially greeted me (Gregory) explained I needed new windshield wipers and didn't bother reviewing there prices. Then proceeded to tell me I need a list of things checked and done for my car that cost 500 but also didn't go in depth to explaining what those things were. I almost felt as if he wasn't trying to explain thoroughly because he might've seen me as just a teen. Once I got into my car and realized the tire pressure light was still on, I was very upset.

Prius was running poorly and usual repair place was not able to help so "had" to use a Toyota dealership. Took it in and was told it needed a new 12v battery and all was good to go! Absolutely thrilled, even high fived the person helping me. Left to go to Chicago, but sadly car was still acting up. I called as soon as I arrived and all I got was a "dressing down" as to all the other problems that likely causing it, like a need for new spark plugs despite me telling him they had been replaced last year (which because he kept talking over me, I don't think he heard). Asked to keep the old battery, as if that wasn't the problem then there was new need for a $380 new one! He told me he would ask the technician to put it aside, to drop the car off Saturday and he would have loner, awesome, all good. Stopped by first thing on Saturday to find a unhelpful staff, was left sitting in the waiting area until I finally approached them, to be told it got busy all of a sudden, however the person who was suppose to be looking after me only had 1 customer walk up to him and he then sat at his computer doing paper work and making some phone calls. Again the attitude I received was degrading and demeaning... Monday late afternoon rolls around and no phone call or update, I leave it another day in the hopes that I will hear from someone. Tuesday I call at around 4pm to be told that he wasn't there right now and that he would call me back as soon as he got back in. When I asked if that would be today, I was told yes. Still no phone call. Wednesday I call and finally speak to the service rep who again is talking to me like a child and is incredibly condescending and rude. He then informs me that the oil was very low and that was the cause of my issues (burning oil) and the car now requires a new $4k motor replaced, in a car that is worth at best $1.5!!!! After getting rather upset that we go from a 12v battery to no oil in the car (which I would have thought one would have checked back at the first visit, kind of like checking peoples vitals, also of point they completely missed/ignored the low air tire warning light the first go around) and needing a new engine. He then proceeds to blame me for everything and infer that I am not capable of taking care of my car, despite having no idea how well it is serviced. We finish that call and I go home to discuss with husband. Together we call back (on speaker phone) and listen to him totally "rip into me" again, husband was horrified as to how he spoke to me. I ask him to replace the battery and to put the old one back in, as it seems that was not the issue and we would be down to pick it up. He told us he would have the technician complete that and it would be ready for pick up. At the end of the day I receive a call that the car is ready to be picked up, when I ask if the battery has been replaced he starts yelling at me stating I signed the paper work agreeing to the work and that the old battery is "on the back seat". Apparently it took 8 hours to pick it up and place it in the trunk (thank goodness) of the car. At this point I'm nervous about going to the service area alone, so husband comes with. Nobody acknowledges me, looks up or says anything, all just stares at there computer screens. Finally someone directs us to the payment desk where we pick up the keys and leave. My big issue here, regardless of the repairs or lack there of, I am astounded by the lack of courtesy and kindness shown. Not once did we get offered an apology or kind word, all I received was a "telling off" by an arrogant man who didn't even have the decency listen to me, he was unable to call me, the customer to keep me in the loop or reach out in a timely manner. Not to mention the lies and excuses that were literally thrown at me. Honestly this type of sexist and degrading behavior in this day and age is unforgivable. Will never set foot.... As an FYI, it cost you a new car sale, drove into Elgin picked up a brand new Prius and couldn't be happier with the service we received at Elgin Toyota, highly recommend!

I have to give 3 stars based on the vehicles and that they ran a hard credit inquiry without my permission. Two out of two we drove were owned by smokers. As a former smoker, I can't handle that. Prices were decent, people were friendly, but as a tip Anderson Toyota, don't be running people's credit without permission!

I went to Anderson Toyota to get Service on my 2007 Prius. A basic Oil change. While waiting I was drinking a cup of coffee and walking around the showroom when Eloy came up and asked if I was looking for a car. I told him that I was having my Prius serviced and might be interested in purchasing something and trading in my 2011 Prius as the Mileage was at 229,000 and needed to get something with much less. We started talking about Prius... he owned one himself and we both agreed ... "once a Prius Owner... well you know... Always a Prius Owner"; He mentioned a Prius he had sitting on another lot just down the street, he drove me over, I took it out for a ride and then home to show the wife... She loved it and next thing you know its in our garage... Everyone involved, from Eloy to the Financial Manager made it so easy. Eloy made a couple of promises, which went beyond his role as a salesman. He followed through and delivered.. When I bought the car it only came with one key which I didn't like however, 3 weeks after I purchased it , Eloy called me and said, " Guess What"? The person that traded the car in just came in and dropped off the second key for your car.. I went and picked it up... THANK YOU!... Anderson has a great salesman .. #ELOY SOSA... thanks again for making the experience great... Look forward to doing business with him again in the future... I highly recommend Anderson Toyota..

One of the best new car buying experiences from any dealership in the past 30+ years sourcing vehicles, both for personal and business use. The entire team was excellent starting with Erin, the internet sales first connection, to sales associate, Brandon Campbell, Sales Manager, Joe Ristow, Finance Manager, Tony and last but not least Devin Bloomingdale, general sales manager. They all worked to make this a great car buying experience without all the high pressure antics that other dealerships utilize. My wife HATES car shopping/buying and she was impressed with the relaxed process to purchase a new 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Platinum. We visited another dealership, not too far away, where we spent three hours being lied to, pressured, and conned, only to leave without purchasing a car. Thanks to the Anderson Toyota team for making this an enjoyable process and working through the few minor bumps that occurred. Making it right for the customer was always their focus, I’ll definitely be referring friends and family to Anderson Toyota!
