I'd give -5⭐. Food portions are small, sauce broth watered down and at times used old meats. Don't believe me, leave portion of any order..eg butter chicken in fridge and see the water separate!! Please learn decent english to treat your customers with respect and not assume your food is the greatest and customers will come. Need better system in place. Really not worth the travel & price. Worth traveling elsewhere for decent curry, Anusha is way tastier and good value for money (it's way out of my way but worth the drive)

I wanted to try a different Indian restaurant, so I stumbled upon this one since it had good ratings. To be honest I have tried lots of Indian restaurant but never have I ever had to give such a bad review. It just wasn't worth it. We ordered chicken jalfrezi, chicken biryani and paneer Tikka. We did say "medium spicy," but never said to make it Flavourless. Paneer Tikka masala really felt like paneer dipped in a sweet watery curry thingy with literally no flavour and it was literally same with chicken jalfrezi as if they just added few veggies to it. And Chicken biryani, I feel they should change its name to tandoori chicken in coloured rice. It's better not serve it than ruin it for people. It was literally a box of boiled and red coloured basmart rice and I was shocked to see Tandoori chicken pieces in it. I am really sorry to say it's just crazy too see people ruining the Indian cuisine in a foreign land. I humbly request you to please work on the quality of food. Prices and quantity doesn't make up for the quality of food. This was my first and the last time from this place. Really upset. 😡

I don't know who the Indian Inspector is but he knows nothing about curries. My wife and I have travelled overseas a lot and had curries everywhere but none of them come up to the standard of Bawarchi Khana. All the curries are the most delicious, flavoursome curries we have ever tasted. The service is spot on and deliveries on time and are contactless. We are so happy they opened their business in Taita and hope they don't move away.

Terrible place. My first and last time we ever eat here! Ordering takeaways from their website/pictures. Ordered RESHAMI KEBAB and it looked like the TANGRI KEBAB. Ordered CHICKEN KORMA(Yellow) and its served looking and tasting like BUTTER CHICKEN (orange). Naan bread 2/5. Managers attitude was too laugh. Say the website is different thats not his fault. What was made was what i ordered. Chalk n cheese! $33 down the drain. Bad experience and poorly handled.

Food has good flavour. portion size was quite big rice a little sticky than it should be naans could be better as a little dry, however, the flavour was good. The staff are very nice and friendly but need to have a uniform or dress accordingly, as too casual. The tables and decor need to be updated place needs to be decorated properly. (Get those menus off the wall it's tacky) the guy serving stated they are going to upgrade the interior soon. Good for takeaway as overall food is pretty good and reasonably priced I would order takeaway from there next time

One of the best Indian Restaurants I've been to. Good prices, decent portions, and amazing flavour with their own unique subtleties. Decor is simple, but given the location and pricing we weren't expecting anything fancy. At least it's very clean and tidy.

The best Indian food in Taita. The place needs a little bit of TLC though. But still the food is great.

Best curry in town so far. Have tried out almost all the ones in the hutt and only a couple maybe 3 are ok. Am a regular there now and they haven't disappoint each time I bought from there especially their Samosas hence the five star rating.

Great food and friendly staff, garlic Naan is the best

Usually enjoy the food here but last time I ordered to poppadoms were stale and the paneer in the curry was off I suspect, very crumbly and sour. I wonder whether it was not made fresh but reheated? I have approached for a refund but they have stopped responding to my emails which is disappointing.

Started out great, then got worse as they decided I was loyal customer so didn't have to impress me no more. Less and less chicken, beef... So went from five star to three on the back of that and them failing to uphold their advertised discount for people sharing and bringing friends in. Ah well, no longer go there. Original review was.... The best flavours without all the overpowering sugar of other places locally, like the one down at Avalon (yuk to say the least)... The best hidden secret in the Hutt Valley - Good value, always happy staff and it shows that locals who actually enjoy a good curry travel past the others to go here. Is cheaper and arguably better than anything in the Hutt. Without the flash signs and websites of others, just hope these guys stay around for years! My first choice for Indian, and talking with some other customers, they say the same.

Went there 2 days ago with a few friends and it was so good I am going back tonight as well. Was friendly and good service. The food is amazing and it is very well priced. So nice to have a good Indian restaurant close to home.

Highly recommend the garlic rice. My wife is very sensitive to spice (even pepper) but she had the tastiest Korma that she could enjoy, and I am loving the garlic lamb (I'm not a fire eater but I like medium to Kiwi hot and they always get it just right). The food and friendlyness of the staff mean I can finally stop looking for good curry takeaways, I've found the best right here. Thank you for the good food.

Asked for "Hot" Korma but had no spice at all. Chicken was cut far too large. Garlic Naan had an odd doughy taste, was probably undercooked. I won't be going back.

Best Indian in the lower, south western upper Lower Hutt locality. Complete with bespoke lighting and well-used breakdance pad. Perfect venue to enjoy a mouthwatering cuzza, listen to some Bollywood bangers and ssszurp an ice cold Fanta.

Came here for the first time. Got a Chicken Biryani and Butter Chicken. One of the best curries and Biryanis I've had in a while. Will definitely come back again 😁

Still absolutely love the food here. I like trying different dishes and I'm never disappointed. Dal Tadka is particularly good, Im not vegetarian but i keep going back to it. The Raita is the best I've tried and the Naan is always so good! Highly recommend Bawarchi Khana.

This restaurant deserves 0 star as the guy on counter doesn't know how to deal or communicate.Curries are worst and meat is old . I have been to your restaurant multiple times and sadly you have lost my faith. "You can't make the same mistake twice, the second time you make it, it's no longer a mistake, it's a choice."

Naan bread very tasty with butter chicken

My family and I came here to eat tonight and decided to eat in instead of take away. The venue was very clean, the food was amazing as was the service. We felt very comfortable and left feeling very satisfied.

The food here is amazing! No word of a lie, but I just ate the nicest butter chicken and the freshest tasting naan I have eaten in my life! You need to get here!
