Not authentic food. Dosa chutney was not fresh, so was the smashed potatoe masala in masala dosa. The tea was just sugar syrup and lastly, dahi puri was terrible. In general indian restaurant are well popular for sub quality food. I would not blame the restaurant, as the prices are relatively low but probably there may be other dishes which can be good 👍

Excellent vegetarian and vegan Indian food, with a particular focus on street food and sweets. We absolutely LOVE the Samosa Chaat, Aloo Tikki, and Chole Bhatura! Lots of other things still to try.

Very nice atmosphere, quiet and the food looked amazing, let's start with the dishes we ordered. You can either get the self service from the smorgasbord or order a meal, they also have a lavish selection of vegetarian deserts, sadly only 3 vegan options. The Pani Puri was a very light starter, it was quite fun to eat, my friend tried to fill it and spilt it all over her hand which provided a much accepted laugh. The dish is served cold which would be great on a warm summers day, it has a mild spice to it which is added by the sauce, absolutely delicious. Up next, the vegan Chow Mein, the aroma was exciting and light, once I ate my first bite I was inlove, it had the right amount of spiceyness and wasn't too oily like a chow mein can often be, it had a healthy mix of veges and the garlic really complimented the entire dish, overall the dish was exquisite and easy to enjoy, a great Autumn and winter meal. Finally we had the Onion Masala Dosa, the triangular goodness. The pastry was sweet and complimented by the onion aroma cooked inside, the dips were delicious and over all it was damn good. Ok, finally for real, kaju burfi. At first I couldn't really taste it, but as I encountered more of the dish I noticed the strong cashew nut taste, it was delicious. The best part, not too sweet! Warning does contain nuts, if easily offended or allergic don't eat. The pricing was very fair, very inexpensive experience overall. What can they improve? Hmm make vegan Jalebi and Vegan Gulab Jamun. TLDR: Food good, price good, I come again!

First time ate at he restaurant and in love with the food! Tried the paneer dosa and it was so good! Service was a bit slow. Price was decent. Lots of selection for vegetarian meals, Indo Chinese food and Indian sweets and snacks. Was a lovely lunch there

IT’S ALL VEGETARIAN! I LOVE IT!!! Phenomenal range of Northern, Southern, and other regional Indian cuisine! Highly recommend the Bhature Chole Thali and the Raj Kachori Chaat when they serve it.

One of my favorite place in Petone because i can have vegetarian food without any problem. Today my husband got take away thali for me only (my husband and daughter do not like their food) worth $26 and i could not stop laughing and ended up calling Bikaner Petone. I asked them if accidentally they have given me the kheer in the wrong box (chutny box) and they said this is the right portion for Kheer. I could not even use the spoon to eat the kheer and used my fingers to eat the kheer from chutny box (pics of box attached).

Awful customer service. It is businesses responsibility to manage customer service during peak period. That is when it shows their capability. All we asked is if we could move table as the table provided was opposite to the entrance and frequent opening was causing cold air to hit our table. They showed their frustrations when we said the table they asked us to sit was not clean. We were ready to wait for different table,but their attitude and rudeness was off putting.

This morning we went to bikaner petone , we always order dine in the food is awesome today we order for take away the food is ridiculous and taste like without any flavour very bad taste ,took only one spoon very bad experience with take aways . Thanks

I ordered one kg jalebi on phone and the manager said me it will sold out soon so you give the order right now I will pack your order right now. When I picked my order and open packet at home all broken pieces of jalebi was packed there. This was my first time bought sweet from here. Simply Indian is best shop for sweets.

I'm Indian but from the UK (curry capital of the word!!!) and found it hard to get the same Punjabi taste here in NZ, until my wife took me to this place. it ticked all the right boxes for me, food was great, reminded me of home cooking I grew up with. Its now my go to eat out place.

This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Wellington. 100% vegetarian food, with a vast menu of original and authentic dishes. The breads and pastries are to die for - so light and delicate. Every dish has its own unique and perfectly balanced flavour.

Good place and food. Chats are better than chat street at Wellington. And food quantity is more too . We had mix chat platter 30$ Cholay bhatoray 17$ Plain dosa 13$ Pani puri 14.5$ Marks Judi 7.5$ Overall bill 141$ for 7adults

The food is really amazing. Vegetarian, so don't expect Butter Chicken. I have been here for many lunches and now, just ordered dinner as Uber Eats. Just as good as it was in restaurant. Totally recommend 👌

Delicious food. Affordable prices. Wide range of options. Happy to adjust dishes to suit dietary preferences, ie no coriander, sweet and salty lassi. Amazing range of sweets. My favourites are their onion bhaji, paneer pakoda, butter plain dosa, dahi puri, jeera aloo. They get the spice level right to suit all levels of tolerance. Highly recommend this restaurant for casual dining and special occasions.

I went to wrong restaurant I was meant to go to other end of street, but I was here so may as well eat. Place was vegan and I generally eat butter chicken so no option try something new. I can't even pronounce what I ate but it was prepared well, service was fast, food was great. Side of dish had pickled vegetables, never eaten before but went straight to Yojis after to find it Indian grocery store. Glad I made the mistake I will try go again.

If you are after vegetarian Indian meals then Bikaner, Petone is one of the best places in town. We usually go there with a group of friends and order a bunch of different items to share and enjoy their thali meals!

The $11.99 lunch has great value for the money. I can’t even finish it and usually have to pack home the rice and some curry. Lucky to have this restaurant near home. Deserts are nice and nutritious too!

A large group of us had a really enjoyable meal here Sunday night. The staff were extremely accomodating with our large order which included a mix of both vegan and vege dishes. Everything was delicious and the service was very friendly. I would eat here again for sure. Thanks Team!

Stunning vegetarian food today at lunch time. Service was polite and friendly with staff checking to make sure we were happy with the food. We both had a Thali which was a real taste sensation.

Had been in yesterday for the first time. Loved the service, Thank you for explaining the dishes to us. Yummy Delicious food and excellent service. So warm and welcoming. Will definitely be going back for more.
