This PF is one of the worst maintained gyms I have ever stepped in. More than several machines need maintenance and or completely broken. They have swarms of unsupervised teenagers this summer due to a promotion and they do not have enough faculty for day to day operations. In fact, the staff that they do have often sit at the front desk instead of tasking and maintaining the gym. To make matters worse the gym began construction for an employee break room and aesthetic upgrades while opened and unmaintained. Stay away from this gym.

Had to edit/update my review. They’re doing renovations-just a temporary nuisance. More importantly, I’ve noticed machines are remaining out of order which didn’t used to be the case. It’s still too crowded almost the entire day because of the reduced hours. If you only want to elliptical or jog on a treadmill, you will be fine. If you want weights/machines of any kind you might struggle.

Been going here for years- just to find out no more 24 hour gym days? It’s the whole reason I opted for PF. Nice staff, always clean. The equipment for cables are always broken or they’re not in decent shape. Gotta give two stars because having a gym open this late was essential to my routine. Please bring back 24/7 hours at this location!

For the most part, the staff is friendly and the place is decently clean, but it's crowded. They start sounding the lunk alarm 15 minutes before closing so that people will leave. I get that the staff wants to leave on time but like.. don't do that. It's loud, annoying, and unprofessional. That was kind of the last straw, ended up quitting and finding a better gym to work out at.

The vibe in this gym is excellent. The staff do an amazing job of keeping the place clean and their clientele engaged. The majority of the staff are all bodybuilders and athletes of exceptional caliber which lends itself in creating an atmosphere of gleeful total immersion into the world of sports. The lighting is superb. The ventilation is excellent. And the majority of gym goers are regular customers, for good reason. We could use a little bit of help with heavy building maintenance as the showers are icy cold 50% of the time. One of the urinals has been out of commission for quite a while now, and a very small percentage of the equipment is struggling in terms of maintenance. A nice addition, would be to add some proper suction ventilation above the men’s toilets as currently the directional flow of the odors can be intense and tends to carry into the locker room on an hourly occurrence. All said, This is by far my all-time favorite planet fitness, and I’d go out of my way to be here, should I ever need to choose between locations. Thanks y’all 🥲 for this little slice of heaven. P.s. This gym is great. This is one of the nicest staffs of all the Philadelphia planet fitness locations. Each time I go - it feels like a great environment. Since it is one floor Ina linear direction - I'm not particularly proud of the set up and organization of the machines. There are a few machines I've seen at other locations that aren't here and the bathroom has an awkward set up in my opinion. That said - there is no knocking how free and sort of discreet I feel each time I visit this location.

Definitely a nice place for the price. Nice staff, clean equipment and bathrooms. I took off a few stars because I often have to cardio "machine-hop" due to it being too rattly, broken pieces or just not working. Need updated/better maintained cardio equipment.

The new treadmills are a great addition. The gym crowd meter app is consistently accurate. Love all the amenities, as well, like the massage chairs and tanning beds.

DISCRIMINATORY - all a sudden they stopped showing Fox News and when asked the staff on multiple occasions they blamed it on the weather, however all the other channels are still working, then they had no answer. How is that a ‘No judgement zone’ gym when you discriminate people who want to watch conservative news? FIX IT!! I am paying top membership and want to watch FOX News when I workout. The staff is always on their personal phones, they are rude and unhelpful. They cannot care less. Most of the time they don’t greet you because they are tucked in a corner on their phones and don’t care about what’s going on. Such a WOKE GYM

On a holiday weekend, July 1, I failed to come in and change my credit card number. My credit card had been lost and destroyed. What planet fitness does is that they’re friendly enough and I did love them, what’s the minute you make one little slip they attach a late fee. July 5 and I was going to remedy the situation, when I found out they did this and I am resigning. There is no customer loyalty at all.

Great gym if you are primarily looking to use a treadmill, elliptical, or stair master. The free weights aren't the best but this isn't a weight lifting gym in my opinion. It definitely appeals to everyone. It has a little bit of everything and the free tanning is nice for people that normally pay for it.

The great excellent customer service from all the staff. Trainer , John is excellent and supportive. Planet Fitness there is absolutely no judgement and no pressure you workout at your pace a great environment. Love the massage beds and chairs.

I love going to planet fitness! Great atmosphere and plenty of equipment. The staff is always to friendly and helpful! Best bang for your buck

You can’t really do better. Very convenient hours, lots of equipment, well maintained by the staff and a very reasonable price. Even in the 5-7 p.m. hours when they are the busiest, I’ve never had a problem finding a treadmill, cycle or elliptical to use.

PF Ardmore is exactly what I need in a gym - clean, with (newly-replaced!) functional equipment and friendly staff. I cannot overstate how nice it is to work out in a place where the vibe is so supportive and anti-judgement. You can't beat this value. PS - when I first joined, I filled out a "how are we doing" survey and said that the only thing missing were true spinning bikes - I'm pretty tall, and I've found that the only bikes that fit me are spinning bikes with multiple adjustment levers. During there latest equipment update, the staff added not one but FIVE of these bikes! Thank you for listening to member input!

The best value in the Fitness Industry! Newbies are welcome and there's plenty of equipment to advance to stronger levels. Great Cardio equipment, 4 Smith Machines (my favorite) plus many others. It was hard for me to get started, but once you make that decision, this will feel like your second home.

After the Covid lockdowns ended, Planet Fitness did not let me know that they would begin charging me again. After I found out and let them know, they refused to refund me over 8 months of fees. They stole from me, so be careful when it comes to your finances. These people have no integrity.

It’s PF what can I say. Decent selection of equipment at a great price. Not amazingly well maintained, but you can get a good workout in.

Staff are always friendly, professional, and helpful. The gym stays clean and replenished regardless of the time of day I visit.

I love this place. Very clean with great machines, friendly staff and most importantly not congested. There are so many machines to choose from and you don’t have to stand in line waiting on any one particular machine.

All I wanted was for my home gym to get a row machine. I had actually asked about it and YOU GUYS DID IT! Not just one but FOUR! I love all of the new equipment and this gym is always clean and a nice environment. I enjoy it very much. Great job.

It was 12/10/2022. The gym is nice and the equiptment works really well. My only complaint is checking in. I was a guest that someone brought for one day. The two people checking me in made me feel uncomfortable. I filled out the sign in as instructed but then when looking at my info, that's when they made me feel insecure and unwelcome. The tone in which they asked my name made me feel bad about myself. They seemed annoyed that i was standing there checking in. I gave them my perferred name but they gave me a dirty look. I'm not sure if it's part of the process of checking in as a one time guest, they took a picture of me. The whole thing made me feel like i was in the wrong for being there.

This location wasn't over crowded. And i didn't have to wait to use machinery. And the staff was friendly. 💪🏾

When I go it is never too crowded to do whatever I want without waiting. And always clean, especially the locker room. The equipment is well maintained, too.

I feel comfortable going in, I haven’t been to the gym in 10 years… if I have a question the team there are always helpful, it’s easy to go in and get rite at it, there are plenty of machines to help with whatever work out you would like to do, it’s clean, everyone is friendly and helpful and I have a great time every time I go

The staff is very attentive and remembers my name to sign me in when I arrive… such great customer service! The facilities are always clean and well-kept. Such a positive environment to work out in, best local gym in the area.
