Had one of the best breakfast bagels here (with Cavicchi’s smoked bacon 🤤) and a pour over coffee for the first time prepared by Jasper. Wow, a whole other side of coffee just opened up😍

Kind of disheartening to see negative reviews being left due to people expecting Tim Horton's level speed/prices/service. As a regular, I can say with confidence the staff are always lovely, the coffee is always delicious, and you can tell your food/drinks are always being made with quality and care in mind as opposed to speed and low prices. If you're looking for a two minute stop before work to spend $2 on a double double, Cortado might not be the place for you. If you are, however, looking for quality customer service, quality beans, quality baristas, and quality eats (none of which comes fast or cheap) I'd definitely recommend visiting.

The majority of workers at this establishment are lovely to interact with on a day to day basis. Their knowledge of coffee and how it is created far exceeds most cafes in Nova Scotia. I would particularly recommend this place if you’re interested in a coffee that is made with passion as opposed to an assembly line feel.

absolutely love this cafe! the staff is always super friendly and attentive. the dairy free milk options and vegan pastries are so refreshing to see as not all cafes have them. latte art is beautiful :)

The coffee tasted great on my first visit, so I went back today to have brunch with my husband and sister. The coffee is still great and the sandwiches, bagels and burritos are delicious too. I love dark chocolate mocha!!

Just ordered a scrambled egg breakfast taco and received the two tacos without scrambled egg on them. Didn’t realize until I was pretty much done the first one. Asked the girl at the counter if there was supposed to be egg on it and she said yes. I’m told her there wasn’t so she went into the kitchen and returned saying the chef/cook forgot to put it on and asked me what I wanted to do… I gave her the one remaining taco back and said do whatever they are told to do in these situations. I returned to my seat and she came out with some scrambled egg on top of my one taco, she didn’t apologize or offer any kind of compensation for the inconvenience and I just I only get one egg with the meal instead of the two that I paid for. I’m not one to write reviews but this was very disappointing service in a place that charged me $23 for egg tacos and a latte. They need to do better as far as I’m concerned.

$4.60 + tip for a Cranberry muffin with almost no cranberry. Coffee is excellent but their food game needs work. Also very slow. Cool vibe and neat spot. Will be back.

Excellent excellent excellent espresso. Staff are very friendly and the vegetarian meal options are good. Dine in ambiance is good but not a lounge. Music choices fitting. But the real salute is that even though I came at different times, dine in and takeout and was served by different staff, the espresso was consistently excellent.

The best avocado toast in Halifax by faaaar and for a decent price too. Don’t bother going anywhere else, I don’t know what they put in it or how they make the avocado twirl on top of the toast but it is amazingly good! Their vegan breakfast burrito is also excellent as well as their smoothies (especially the chocolate almond one yum!!)

Location, is good sounded with residential area, there is enough free parking for cleints, the facility is wide enough to fit customer, colours are elegant and warm, having high seats and regular one I see it positive, decorations is nice and variety seats is also a good option, what I found an issue is the service table (where suger and garbage cabinet is) it is too far and hard to reach . Products and time of process, I noticed (in my visit) there wasn't enough varieties of pastry (limited) and good type of beverages. Hospitality and employee, I like how employees are friendly understand clients needs, take the order with a smile. The timing between order and prepare the order within expected time, well done. Cleanliness, the facility is cleanliness is pluasible including the washroom, I see one washroom is not enough, however the washroom is equipped well. Need only refresher. Prices is $$ you pay for a good services. Conclusion: is worth the visit and worth the experience.

Dropped into this coffee shop for a family gathering on a Saturday night. It is an amazing place. The atmosphere was what I liked most. Calm and relaxing, the wood tables and floors gave this place a cozy feel. The sweets were fresh and tasty. I didn’t have coffee, but had a few sips of a latte and it tasted great. Instead of Starbucks, try this place!

The bad: The hot chocolate tastes like the no name brand from Superstore except it's 10 times the cost. The water for their espresso is too hot so the beans taste burnt in your drink. The portion size is wildly disproportionate to the cost of the food. The good: The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere itself is great.

These guys restored my faith in the coffee scene in Bedford. Been a while since I had a Latte this good. The staff are incredibly polite, friendly and welcoming, too. Surprsingly, all this quality doesn't come at a price that burdens your your wallet.

The price wasn't bad, but the service was bad. This was our second visit after a few years and probably never after. They provided a number and the cashier has told that they would bring the food, so we waiting, but they didn't. very confusing. So we picked our food and drinks, you have to clean the table as well. The inside of the cafe was very dirty. The water glasses were dirty. Chais are ripped. Didn't feel comfortable to spend time there. It's too bad that it went downhill.

Cortado is my go-to in the area for all my caffeine needs. They have superb matcha lattes and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The only downside is that they sometimes run out of matcha powder, making it unpredictable whether you’ll get what you hoped for. Otherwise, their flat whites are delicious and the oatcakes are yummy.

Excellent coffee, excellent vibes. Bagel and lox was delicious.

I loved this place but there was a menu change and now my favourite dishes aren't there. The Bagel and Lox was amazing but is no longer available. And prices went up significantly. It's a shame because it was SO good.

One of my favourite cafés in HRM! I love sitting down and watching them make drinks for everyone, especially when they make pour over. The precision is something I appreciate a lot here. Great atmosphere to work for a bit and have a sweet treat.

I've grown to enjoy Cortado Tasting Room with each visit. Even with a cafe, it can take time to acclimatize to the atmosphere and the staff. They are very accommodating and an enjoyable place to go.

I thought about how to review this place. Here is how I did it: Ambient: cozy, clean and relaxing. It is really nice and well put up. 5-star Service: just good basic service. Nothing outstanding. 4-Star Food: we got an oatmeal cake and apple Danish. The oatmeal cake was fine, but the apple danish was a very sad experience. Very stale, the filling was mushy and overall no taste. 2-Star Drinks: pumpkin spice latte and hot chocolate with oat milk. None of the mentioned here can be called that. The PSL taste just like warm milk. And the Hot chocolate was, as described by my wife “seems to be a hot chocolate flavored water”. 0-Star Definitely not worth coming here in my opinion. Food and drinks are tasteless and uninspired.

The place has great coffee and great food. Ambience is great too, but there should be some kind of logistics (or common sense) in terms of seating. We’ve been there four times and the story is the same: one single person (that is regularly the same person) seating in the tables that hold 8-10 people, so if you are a large group, you end up having to put two tables together. We are all customers, spending our money, there should be some empathy, people! Or at least regulations!

What an awesome spot! I needed a latte to kick start my day and Cortado Tasting Room was an amazing find on my way from the AirBnb to work. Great latte and a tasty bagel with cream cheese. Highly recommend!

Thank you to Alex and Lexi for amazing service, coffee, and food. I had 3 pour overs, 1 espresso, Lox Bagel, and Avocado Toast in 4 days. Every single visit and item was special. If you are a third wave coffee fan ++ then you need to come here. You won’t regret it! Thanks Cortado Tasting Room!

We came here several mornings for coffee and breakfast sandwiches while on holiday. The baristas made fabulous drinks every time and the breakfast sandwiches were delicious. The gluten free bread option was great. The staff were kind and helped me with the huge order I made for take away. Lovely!!

One of the nicest coffee shops in the area! Good coffee, great food and friendly service! The avocado toast is a must-have! Also their black bean paste made whatever it touched fantastic… Great cold brew & decent drip coffee.
